Below Deck Mediterranean: Hannah, Hannah, Sandy?

July 24, 2018 by tamaratattles 92 Comments

Based on the title, I’m going to say that things come to a head between Hannah and Sandy. We pick up down one stew (Hannah) and one deckhand (Jamie).  And the primary has decided they want to have a beach picnic, twenty minutes before lunch. Things go surprisingly well on the quick set up. Kasey credits Hannah being out of the way for the smooth setting. Adam is very sweet to Hannah and takes her food.

Joao is still questioning Conrad’s every decision and back talking him. Joao thinks he knows more than Conrad. Whether he does or not, and I don’t think he does, his delivery is condescending toward his superior.

Captain Sandy checks on both Sandy and Jaime and is kind to them both. Sandy lets Joao drive the boat again. Kasey and Brooke are killing it with service and being quite professional to each other. Why do we get so little of Colin? It’s like they edited him out as much as possible for some reason.

The guests are late for dinner. They are all sleeping except for two. Brooke tries to wake up the primaries. Everyone has made it to dinner except for them. The no onions dude shows up for 9:30 dinner just after 11. The wife is not feeling well.

Hannah is trying to get a spot out of her clothes in the laundry room. She talks a bit about anxiety and says it is not something she likes to share with people. I am the opposite. When I am having an anxiety attack in public, usually at the grocery store check out, I just lay it all out there because I feel like I look ridiculous, sweaty, shaky, paranoid. I feel the need to give some sort of explanation.Kasey is super sweet to her.

Captain Sandy takes Colin on his off time and has him help with service. She helps too. This is ridiculous and would never happen in real life. There are two stews and only one is needed for service. Such a stupid storyline. Captain Sandy just wants to get camera time. She also washed three dishes earlier.  Basically, she is just getting in Brooke’s way. At least we get some camera time for Colin. Adam’s dinner was a smashing success.

Adam just had an onion delivery since he tossed a ton of perfectly good onions (my favorite vegetable that I eat everyday) so he wants to hide onions around the boat for the guests to find. Captain Sandy thinks it is a great idea. I think perhaps he should quit while he’s ahead.

My foreigners perhaps could explain the way Hannah is referring to eskys? There were no coolers around when she told Brooke to be careful of them.

Adam is killing it in the kitchen. The guests want to go to a beach bar. The primary asks if Brooke and “Ice” their nickname for Joao can take them on the Tinder. Hannah says she will check with Captain Sandy, who she calls “Sandy” and that irks me because NO ONE would call Captain Lee, Lee on a charter. Hannah seems to tell Conrad that they are taking them to the beach. Now Captain Sandy is pissed with Conrad again. Suddenly, he can’t do anything to please her when Hannah is back at work.

Hannah tells Captain Sandy that the guests want her and Conrad to take the guests to explore the caves and ask is that is okay. She said as long as it is not hours and hours with them and they just drink coke she is fine with that. They leave at 4:15. When the get to shore Hannah and Conrad separate from the guests because they are drinking and Hannah doesn’t want to be pressured into drinking and return to the boat with Captain Sandy standing there with a breathalyzer. They talk about how Captain Sandy is talking shit about both of them. At 6:19 they appear to be going back to the boat. Hannah is serving drinks on the tinder. At 7:32 they are not back yet and Captain Sandy is going batshit. So the guests are having fun and enjoying the sunset and Captain Sandy calls Conrad and demands that he bring Hannah back to the boat and go directly to the bridge. Captain Sandy is ranting about being “sick of that girl and wanting to fire her ass.”

When Hannah goes to the bridge, Captain Sandy tells her to get away from her, go to her cabin and she is going to come talk to her when she is calm. She says she is on the verge of firing her. For what?

That is where my DVR cut off and I am not amused. This bitch makes Hannah look like an angel.

Kind of stunned that Hannah blatantly lied. Guests did not insist her and Conrad go. Shady move.

SANDY seems to follow so many who think that physical illness is a real illness while mental illness is not as real

With both of the ill women; one went back to work who was encouraged to rest by Dandy while the other one went back to work and was reprimanded for her behavior.

You know, I have panic attacks and sometimes it takes more than a day off to reset. Maybe Hanna just needed a bit more time to recover without being too obvious, so she made sure she would be going out with the guests, where she was still doing her job, but things were a bit better for her mentally.
Capt. Sandy went totally berserk on Her! She had left the message for her to report immediately to her and then told her to get lost. She couldn’t stand looking at her and to go to her cabin where she will be dealt with later. I hope Sandy gets kicked off the show.

Why didn’t Sandy send another vessel out with a stew and a decline and have Hannah and Conrad come back on the second vessel? That way, the guests could have enjoyed the sunset. It looked as though Conrad was unaware of the details and Hannah’s lie.

I think Sandy overreacted to Hannah being off the boat with the guests longer than she originally told Sandy. Sandy’s freaking out thinking that “poor” Brooke is like Cinderella with all the chores and Hannah’s off gallivanting but looks like the guests were enjoying the sunset. And what’s with the “get back here and come to the bridge immediately” and then “get out of here I don’t want to see you”? I’d suspect menopause with the Jekyll and Hyde act but think she’s past that stage at this point.

“Skip work”? Part of the job is staying with the guests and SERVING them…which is EXACTLY what she did!! This by the way, allowed her stews to take a BREAK from having to serve said guests. And the primary just tweeted that they all had a great time while away from the boat, which shows they really could care less who actually went with them to serve them!

Exactly! And I have watched the episode twice now. Hannah told Sandy they were taking the guests to explore caves and to the beach bar, that she & Conrad would just drink a Coke. They entertained the guests! Sandy had just jumped on Conrad about the guests doing what they want to do. Then, for Sandy to call, demand Hannah be brought back to the boat, and all the crazed ranting by Sandy that they were just going to drink a Coke and coming back shows she is just creating something to reprimand Hannah & Conrad for. Also, like you said, in the past it’s always been a break from the guests for the stews/deckhands left behind on the boat “guest free.” So, why suddenly is it considered slacking for Hannah and Conrad to take the guests off of the boat and tend to the guests’ wants and needs???

Let’s see. Would you rather take guests out in a fun tender, maybe pour wine and a drink or (while sitting), explore caves, watch sunset with your boyfriend OR get table ready for dinner and all that goes with it and clean cabins. I like Hannah but come on. LOL

Well let’s REALLY see: would I rather be at the beck and call of the guests possibly for hours…OR would I rather have the luxury of SLEEPING while said guests are gone off the boat? And fyi: the table for dinner is set once the guests get back on board and go to their rooms to change. Also the cabins are cleaned twice: once guests are up eating breakfast(so first cleaning had been done BEFORE guests went on their excursion…plus cleaning cabins is the 3rd stew’s job and as was said there were only 3 cabins to be tidied up) and secondly when guests are seated at the table eating dinner. So maybe get your facts straight before you comment. To be frank, what was done was no big deal…the guests were treated to the “face” of the interior(per sandy, that’s the chief stew’s priority) so chill out

MelG, I totally agree with you. If they are exploring caves was Hannah suppose to swim back to the boat? I don’t think Sandy’s attitude should have been at the expense of the guests. I (guests) would have been pissed if I was watching the sunset and take Hannah back to the boat.

Prycer and Allison nailed it! How many times have we heard comments from the crew that having a break from the guests is what they all want? In any type of service industry the thing you desire is a break from people in your face. Hannah gave the girls a break. Did she lie about who the guests requested? Yes, but I do NOT blame her after the way Sandy has ridden her and Conrad!!! Their relationship hasn’t even been all THAT hot & heavy from what we have seen on camera. Sandy is just in some kind of BITCH mode. Hannah can do no right. Kasey’s ass flat out lied, was truly pathetic in the beginning, but Sandy can’t praise her enough.

Hannah is Australian (cringe) and an esky is what we call a cooler. I don’t know why. I imagine it’s from ‘eskimo’. Joao is NOT into Brooke. He’s creepy, and he caved to Brooke’s pressure. If he had gone for Kasey, I think he’d be a lot more sexual. It’s very platonic between him and Brooke. Though not as platonic as what is going on between Conrad and Hannah, i still think Conrad is ‘waiting’ for something: marriage, off the boat, coming out, not sure what it is, but it’s never looked to me like they are doing anything more than cuddling. And that WON’T be the desperado from down under’s decision. No wonder she’s having anxiety.

I was having such anxiety about how Sandy was going to yet again ream Hannah out and then turn around and praise people for doing what Hannah does too, that I came here to read the recap.

I’m fucking pissed that Adam is so nice to Brooke about the guests not being on time, but tears into Hannah.

Oh, and going off with the guests is NOT a break – Hannah even tweeted that she went so the other stews could have extended breaks without worrying about the guests at all.

Oh, I totally believe Sandy was being a bitch in “helping”. Where was this help when they found out Kasey knew NOTHING… not even how to do laundry.

Oh, and if Hannah were to leave, I firmly firmly believe that Sandy would find another scapecoat/person to beat up on.

I think Cpt. Sandy was angry that Hannah was gone for so long, when she said only an hour or two, and one of the other girls had been up working for 21 hours straight while Hannah was serving drinks and flirting with Conrad, and Sandy said that was not fair as a leader to create that situation. Hannah was not being a good leader and did not follow orders.

Kasey lied. Kasey was beyond incompetent. Kasey was puking or ruining something in the beginning. Yet, Sandy has bragged on her ad nauseam. Hannah had double the work, had to go behind Kasey on everything. Yet, she is picked apart. Sandy must need to add “batteries” to that provisions list.

“What we have here is a failure to communicate.” Capt. Sandy SHOULD have given her a time to return at which time Hannah could have said that she was going to be at the pleasure of the guests. And Conrad was blindsided. On WWHL both Joao and Conrad were enlightened. Neither had understood the kerfuffle at the time.

    ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?

OK, full confession – I have said the words “You need to go away so I can calm down. I will come get you”. I said it to a student (I was luckily next door to the detention room that was available all day.) But I didn’t order him to come see me first!!

She told Hannah not to be gone hours and hours… 4 hours isn’t that long when you think about everything Hannah had planned, and YOU SERVE AT THE PLEASURE OF THE GUESTS.

How the fuck was Hannah supposed to get back to the boat otherwise? If you wanted Hannah back before then, THEN MAKE ARRANGEMENTS. YOU ARE THE GODDAMN CAPTAIN.

She, bottom line, hates Hannah for whatever reason (doesn’t matter why) and isn’t professional enough to rise above it. I have ZERO respect for that.

I once had a fellow co-worker hate my guts. I was her “scapegoat” (for lack of a better term) and she convinced a lot of others in our unit that I hated her, wasn’t really doing my job. In actuality, I couldn’t be bothered enough to hate her or love her. She was insignificant to the rest of my life or how I did my job… I wasn’t genuinely bothered by the fact that part of my job was to find and correct her mistakes. I have the attitude that every excellent writer has an editor. She thought by finding her errors I was out to get her.

Its a long story – sometimes interesting that is better told when we’ve all had alcohol and plenty of appetizers in front of us.

I can’t imagine what would have happened if that person had been in charge of our entire unit like Sandy.

Great comment. My problem with Sandy is she could have specified a time, even though it is the guests they cater to, especially this charter they need to redeem themselves. And she should have said she needed her deck and interior managers on the boat and sent someone else. She knows something is going on with Conrad and Hannah. After Hannah’s confession, wouldn’t Sandy think it best to give Hannah some time away from him so she doesn’t have another panic attack. I wish Joao and Kasey were sent. That would have been entertaining.

Oh I hear you. I got an editing job right after I quit teaching. So my grammar game was ON POINT. (I’ve forgotten terms, etc. in the last decade).

In teaching, I taught some subjects that taught me about publishing, white space, etc. so my formatting skills were pretty good too!

Some of those assholes would drop shit off on my desk an hour before the mail went out – and it had to go out because of deadlines. I learned to stamp something when it was received, AND i kept hard copy drafts of what they turned in for several months. Some people’s formatting was so damn bad I’d have to fix that and reprint it before editing it (if I had time, I gave them back a hard copy with my written edits)

My funniest moment was actually from one of the best writers though… she was an attorney. Very OCD though – her office made me itch because I’m a slob and I swear to God everything in her space was fucking perfect. I think she dusted everything including her stapler daily.

Her documents were practically the same. But I think it was my first week on the job I was given one of her docs to edit. I think I found one extra period, and a missing Oxford comma. I’m a fanatic about Oxford commas, especially in legal type documents.

She didn’t like making mistakes… the extra period was just a finger slip, but she kind of snottily said about the comma “That is NOT what MY English teacher taught ME.”… (please… she was probably getting ready for her 40th high school reunion) I guess she didn’t read the email that gave my background because she was quite surprised when I shot back “Well that IS what I TAUGHT my STUDENTS last year when I worked on their GRAMMAR and PUNCTUATION.” (Not all of my co-workers had my experience – it was entry level)

She actually became one of my favorite co-workers – one that cracked me up in her stuffiness sometimes. I could be put on the floor in giggles if I caught her saying Fuck.

At least you eventually earned her friendship and respect. If you had been a RH, “Oxford comma” would now be a catchphrase to ignite fury. BTW: Likely you know this but in journalism AP Style doesn’t use the Oxford comma, which used to bug the fuck out of me. But I was told it was about saving space, especially in narrow columns. Back in the olden days, with monospaced type, a comma took up as much space as an M. But with modern type being proportionally spaced, I wish they would use it.

I have to agree. I think Capt. Sandy overreacted . It is like she was waiting for a perfect time to do that. With that said, I do think Hannah stayed a little long with the charter guests, but in that kind of job you are really at the beck and call of the guests- especially ones that pay what must be large fees to be on that $80M yacht. I really don’t see a reason for Capt. Sandy to react the way she did; and also for it to heat up to a point where she wanted to fire Hannah. If it was so critical for Hannah to be back at the boat at a certain time, then set a specific time; which Capt. Sandy didn’t do. But I definitely think Hannah could have a better attitude at times with people under her and also not be so obsessed with some of the other crew members (Like Jao and Brooke; Jao is an obvious asshole and I wouldn’t trust him any further than I could throw him). But I also have seen that Hannah seems to be pretty good with the charter guests and they seem to really like her; which is probably why she is chief steward.

Really I don’t like Capt. Sandy. She is definitely kind of a bi–h to me. She doesn’t really seem objective as a leader/manager and she loves it when people kiss her ass- regardless of their true skills/abilities (Like Kasey and Jao). Jao may have some experience, but it really seems like his skills are more of an arrogant attitude and looking for any opportunity for him. Why the heck would Capt. Sandy be impressed by someone like that if she really has good judgement as a Capt./Manager- she wouldn’t. Kasey is doing better on the show, but she does seem lost at times as far as what she is supposed to be doing.

Great comment. Sandy was asked on WWHL or last year’s reunion whom she would hire again and she said Melia. That girl caused so many crew members hell. But again she climbed up Sandy’s ass like Joao who has a premeant butt indentation on the couch in the crew mess. I would never be a guest on a ship she captained

Captain Sandy just really has it in for Hannah. There’s no other excuse for her irrational outbursts!

Tonight when Colin & Joao were on WWHL, it came out in the after show that Joao brought Kenny & Amber as his guests to the clubhouse! What a devious asshole – he probably thinks this will ingratiate himself more with Bravo! I hope it backfires & he gets in trouble (fired) for socializing with charter guests, like Hannah did last year!

Also saw photos on Amber’s Instagram of she & Kenny all dressed up at the clubhouse. Too bad Andy barely acknowledged them on the show (and they weren’t shown on camera)! Talk about THIRSTY…

I wonder if next season will feature Joao as boatswain. I cannot see both Sandy and Hannah on another season. Not fair to the guests who pay a shit ton of money to be in the shitshow of dueling egos and Hannah’s lying. I wonder what the “comp” is, if any, to have your charter appear on the show.

I haven’t checked recently, but on Bravo’s Below Deck web page there was once an application to be charter guests. It asked for “groups of fun, adventurous people” & said the cruise fees would be heavily discounted! That explains these classless people with no manners or civility that leave low tips. I often wondered if the only thing they pay for is the tip?

It may have changed since the first season but they started out with like a 20% discount. They often have people unwilling to pay five figures and the schedule is very strict. So at the last minute they would be looking for people and if they could not fill the charter they would book random overpaid Bravo people and their friends on the cruise. They are often shut down and shuttled off to the cave tours and such so they can film all the talking heads (they used to be heavily negative to the guests. You also have to sign the release contract which basically signs all your rights away and says they can defame and mock you on national TV. I have been sent those sorts of contract by Big Brother before in the very early stages of applying (that story is here somewhere) no one in their right mind would sign that contract. Also there was as season of real Below Deck where they just insulted the fuck out of the guest including Captain Lee and I heard from A LOT of disgruntled guests that were not happy.

It’s only the attention whores who keep coming back because they want to be on TV and don’t care how bad they look when they play along.

Hannah should be fired and wouldn’t be missed. It’s no coincidence that the day everything goes smoothly is the day Hannah is in her cabin all day. If she was told to arrange the beach lunch in 30 minutes should would have had a fit and screw up everything. She spends her day flirting with Conrad, being bitchy to half of the crew, or looking for ways to avoid working.

Thank you. Seems like most people are on Hanna’s side. I couldn’t believe it when she lied right to the Capt’s face and said they requested her & Conrad, when they actually DID request the others!
The fact that everything went so smoothly with her locked in her cabin says a lot.

It went easy because except for the beach picnic (which they did do well, I will give them that), these are EASY guests. Friendly, sweet, see the crew as actual humans, and the ONLY food request they have is no onions. Plus Kasey has had time to learn. They even had the easiest cocktail orders (no Bloody Mary’s!)

Change it up and have it be the white gumball crew or that gaggle of cunts that social media went after because they were so horrible.

I think it doesn’t matter what Hannah does or doesn’t do, the storyline has been for the last couple seasons, that Hannah is the bad guy no matter what. The show gets rating because of drama (though I would still watch if everything went perfectly smooth every charter because I find it all very interesting) and what brings drama is a villain. I have no doubt that if it were real life,Brooke being down or Kasey being down and leaving the other two, would go just fine. Hannah is the chief stew which means her job responsibilities are different from the other stews, but just because her job is provisioning and planning and overseeing the running of the interior, which seems to not be as entertaining as watching people do laundry, doesn’t mean she isn’t doing her job. I think she can be abrasive and condescending sometimes, but I think she works on a yacht reserved for a reality show and that skews everything on the boat. Sort of like we didn’t see the behind the scenes people stepping in & helping out when Sandy was off pretending she was a charter guest when her friends came on the boat.

I like the captain. I think she was pissed because the others were working the last 21 hours while Hannah took a day of rest, then went on an excursion. I do think the expectation could have been better communicated. If the captain truly hatedHannah and Conrad she certainly would not send them ashore together. I know I wouldn’t send the lovebirds! Plus they are the higher ranking of the crew.

Shoot me, but I like her too. I think this year she is just running a tighter ship. Glorified babysitter for the kids besides running the boat. Hannah is slacking entirely way too much. I have to say Adam and the deckhand with the dark hair from the US are my favorites this season.

But she did say she would be back quickly which threw me off she was just going to have a Coca-Cola .z She then lied because he had asked for Brooke and Joelle captain Sandy was so over the top in In her rage ..She os so disgusted with the relationship… But Hannah has proven herself to be a bit lazy at times. And she so wrong over their relationship imagine if Brooke said she didn’t like Conrad and her relationship.

What’s with Sandy not letting each member of the deck team dock and undock (?) the boat like she did last season? I liked that she was teaching her crew. I respected her for that. But this year, all she does is yell and chastise people she chooses not to like. Joao is so up her ass that she can’t see left or right and she should have demanded an explanation from Kasey about lying on her resume. Sandy says she doesn’t like liars but excuses Kasey? Makes no sense.Maybe she changed her mind when she watched Kasey pour her a cup of coffee.

I love Captain Sandy! I think she is totally cool and understanding. But like all good bosses, expects you to do your job. She asked Hannah to go to her cabin because she didn’t want to speak out of anger or frustration. I never ever thought she had a thing for Hannah. She has specifically said she is attracted to kind people of either sex. I noticed several episodes ago that Hannah seemed to avoid working when she could, didn’t give a good verbal presentation of the food, and certainly didn’t manage the guests well or communicate with Adam.
Hannah can’t stand Joao because he was rude to her and she wants others to dislike him also. It’s bizarre how obsessed she is with him. I wonder how she would treat Kasey if Joao choose her! If she didn’t have drama with Joao and Brooke, it would be someone else. She is just one of those people that has to project their frustrations onto someone else. And yes! she flat out lied to the captain and said the guests wanted her to go with them! The primary asked for Brooke and Joao!

WARNING: Here comes a personal rant. I do believe Hannah has panic attacks, but I believe she LIED about the one onboard. I think she had a hangover and applied her knowledge of the attacks as an excuse. BECAUSE: As a person who has had panic / anxiety attacks since puberty, I have met and communicated with and read about DOZENS — perhaps hundreds — of people who have the same. NOT A SINGLE ONE has said that lying in bed helps — unless they have sleep aids or sedatives. The hamster-wheeling thoughts get worse doing nothing. What works for me is a “low-brain” task such as gardening; walking, petting, or brushing the dogs; knitting; watching “stupid” (aka reality) TV. Like TT, I used to get attacks at supermarkets — I finally realized that fluorescent lights set me off. I understand we all have different ways of dealing, but if anyone besides Hannah is helped by lying in bed, I would appreciate hearing how that — or anything else — works for you (if it’s not too off topic). And Hannah’s LIES need to stop. Sandy will be PO’d at the reunion, even more than over Adam and Hannah’s behavior seen onscreen last year.

You make a great point. I’ve had an anxiety and panic disorder most of my life. I only get in bed if I take a klonopin. At first mention, I thought someone must have some anti anxiety pills in that crew. Most times I reduce the intensity by moving. I’ve never talked about my panic attacks to anyone except my doctors and therapists. I’ve been too embrassed. I have, and sorry for the graphic, vomited during one. It looked like Hannah was heaving in her bed. However, it’s never taken me that long to recover. Is that uncommon? I have to say Adam was adorable looking after her. I would love to have support like that when I start tumbling down the rabbit hole

But where else was she to go? Policy is when you are sick – you are in your cabin. Being around the guests wouldn’t be kosher for sure, and sitting in the galley puking? She also didn’t want people to know – Kasey tweeted last night that the crew didn’t know (I mean, Adam suspected I am sure if not outright knew what exactly it was). With Joao’s previous treatment of her… even if there was a “crew lounge”, she sure as shit didn’t want to be in HIS line of fire.

I did notice she had her devices with her – maybe she watched reality TV or did the calming games or did meditation. Maybe that is why it lasted so long. She did mention that she had never had one on ship, and couldn’t do her usual coping mechanisms.

I remember the first I had ever heard of them – a girl in college was dealing with “issues”. A really well put together, smart cookie if a bit hippie. (This was the early 90s.) I don’t remember what they called them. She WOULD hole herself up in her dorm room, because she didn’t want anyone to see her like that. She finally fessed up to some of us, and sought help because she first had a panic attack in a movie theater – so she stopped going to the movies. Then she had one at the gym, so stopped going to the gym… the number of places she would go started to become fewer and fewer.

When I first started having regular panic attacks I also was diagnosed with agoraphobia. I could only leave the house to go to one other place. I was scared I’d have an attack anywhere. That the “Big Bad” was around any corner. I still struggle with “what if” but can leave the house and do much more. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and allowing me to express mine

I have more anxiety than panic attacks, so this may not be helpful. But if I am anxious about having to go somewhere, such as the city, I like to go to bed ahead of time because it feels safe. I feel like I am giving myself a break so that I can gear up for what’s to come. It’s somewhat of an avoidance behavior. I also usually read while lying in bed because that takes me away from everything. At other times, if I’m trying to get stuff done and the anxiety is simmering beneath the surface, I might go to my room and just focus on what’s bothering me so that I can think it through and pray about it rather than having it eat away at me all day. That works on those days when I’m not sure quite what’s wrong, but I’m just uneasy. It’s like making a list… if I can make it concrete in my head, it can sometimes be better than those vague anxious thoughts rattling around. Does that make sense?

I have had really bad ones. But still able to do “mindless tasks.” To not be able to do even that would be UNBEARABLE. Every second must seem like an hour. An excellent point was made about where she could go but the cabin. For me, the mindless repetition of ironing would have been what I would have done. Or washing dishes. Water helps me. Bathtub, shower, swimming, holding a hose on the plants, etc. And washing dishes — to perfection, of course — why turn off the OCD just because you are freaking!

I’m a little late to the game, but I have to agree. In the midst of a panic attack, I can’t move, much less take on menial tasks. When your heart is pounding out of your chest, your vision is closing in, and you can’t breathe, the suggestion to go do some ironing is ridiculous.
If it happens around people I’m comfortable with, then shut up and leave me alone, so that I can focus on not dying and getting through the attack. If it happens in public, it’s accompanied by an attack of word vomit, and I’ll hold captive perfect strangers with the need to give a second-by-second replay of what’s going on.

Yes, when having an anxiety attack, distraction is helpful. But in my experience, panic attacks are a different animal altogether.

No matter how long the boat ride was, the point is Hannah LIED about the guests requesting that she and Conrad accompany them on the boat. They wanted Brooke and “Ice”. And if they, the lesser staff would’ve went there never would’ve been a problem. Hannah let her horniness for Conrad interfere with her job. A job that she hasn’t done very well at all this season. She was very critical of Casey, who has continually improved and stepped up. They all had to to cover because their boss is running after Conrad like a cat in heat. Conrad should’ve stick to his “don’t screw the crew” rule because now he’s put his job in jeopardy. All for a woman who hooks up with someone new every season. He’ll so deeply regret this very soon, when he snaos out of it. When she starts chasing another yacht employee. One who is unlucky enough to be trapped with her at sea.
It was totally Hannahs fault. Not Sandy’s. She is chief stew (which she likes to remind everyone below her) so more is expected of her. She failed.
