I’m getting a lot of emails from people who are coming from a site that is not credible claiming that this may be the last season of RHOA. It is completely false. RHOA is Bravo’s #1 show and they are going to ride it until the wheels come off.
Their salary information is laughable. It’s like Nene herself is behind this story. No cast member is making four million dollars a season. The actual salaries are ludicrous enough without inflating them. As I told you last season, Nene’s salary was $100K and episode. Her option for this season includes a 5% raise so she will make $105K. If she appears in all 24 episodes, that puts her at $2,625,000. Typing that just makes me a bit nauseated. Kandi’s salary for this season is $93,500 per episode and that puts her at $2,244,000 presuming she is in every episode.
Porsha and Cynthia’s episode salaries combined are still less than Nene’s per episode salary. Currently, Eva, Shamari Devoe, and Tanya Sam are all vying for peaches. It even seems remotely possible Marlo could be in the running for a peach. Shamea will continue to be the occasional friend of it seems. Whatever contracts that go to these ladies will be cheap by Bravo standards.
As far as the budget goes, Bravo spends about $600K per episode to produce RHOA. That is close to $13M per season. Last season Bravo made a profit of $22M on RHOA. The only show that comes close to that profit margin is RHOBH with $15M. So if you include the profit margin and the loss of “heavy hitter salaries” like Kim’s and what Kenya would’ve made, because her multi-cycle option agreement would’ve expired and required a complete negotiation, RHOA is budget “friendly”. Last season having Nene, Kim Kandi and Kenya all on the same show was tough on the talent budget but that problem is now fixed. Even with the high salaries of season ten, no one was planning to cancel the show over it.
So as I said, the story that some of you have read has not truth to it at all. The four returning peach holders, Nene, Porsha, Cynthia and Kandi are all under renegotiated option agreements until 2022-2025 which limits how much of a raise they will get for future seasons. Everything is under control in the budget department. RHOA will probably still be on the air until Armageddon which appears to be fast approaching.
Also please quit emailing me asking if Phaedra is coming back. She is not. It’s that time in filming where two peaches are up for grabs and Eva, Shamari and Tanya appear to be neck and neck (and neck) in the fight with Marlo as a longshot. We will be hearing this one or that one got a peach for weeks. There even may be more options out there I don’t know about yet. I’m really not keeping a close eye on RHOA these days as I am still pissed I don’t get to see Kenya’s pregnancy.
