Melyssa is a sister, friend and confidant to many. Simply said…we all love her. Melyssa was involved in a near fatal car crash on Ventura Freeway this past Thursday, June 28th. Her jeep flipped 3 times after being clipped by an 18-wheeler. She sustained a skull fracture, concussion and bleeding on the brain. She also has a 10-inch open wound that had to be surgically closed using stitches and staples with other severe gashes all over her body. THE 18-WHEELER DRIVER IS STILL ATLARGE! We are asking anyone who may have been travelling westbound on Ventura Freeway, Thursday, June 28th at approximately 12:37pm PST near Brand/Central Avenue exit, to PLEASE come forward with any information.
Melyssa is from Canada and moved to the U.S. like so many to pursue her passions and dreams. She is loved and respected. She is one of us and needs us. We need to surround her with love and the support to get through this. We are asking those closest to her and supporters who have shown an outpour of concern and well wishes to contribute to this GoFundMe established. In a time when the world seems to be spiraling out of control, miracles like this remind us of the one beautiful thing we all have in common and should be thankful for every day, LIFE.
FYI: Melyssa and I are good friends and I set this up because so many people wanted to help and there are so many expenses coming at her I wanted to make it where there was one less thing she had to worry about-and as soon as we get to the goal or close to the goal I will transfer 100% of the funds to her. (OR when she gets her first medical bill-whichever comes first.)
Just donated what I could to an old friend who had a bad motorcy accident. He’s going to kill us but he’s such a good guy -he’s a mechanic who has helped everyone at one time or another. First time I could actually help in a long while and it felt good. I hope a lot of people donate-it takes a village y’all! Thank you TT for being mayor of our village (of idiots!)! You set a great example of sheer human kindness.
I liked this girl on RHOA. I live in California & it’s very scary to drive here. Some people don’t seem to notice or care about other cars around them. Hell, here in the bay area, they drive like they are in a video game. It’s terrifying! And hit & runs are happening everywhere on a daily basis. It makes me sad that this is how little people care about each other.
I hope that she is all right.
Driving in LA is no joke. It’s defensive driving 101. I had a rental car in San Francisco for 2 weeks so I get what you are talking about .
I’m south of you about 2-3 hours, depending on traffic. My son works Santa Clara and drives 101 to Salinas everyday 1 1/2 – 2 hours each way.
The large companies that are still building need to provide affordable rooms for commuters. There is no housing or affordable hotel rooms
Thusly over crowded roads.
If a witness did not stop at the time I doubt one will come forward.
Oops, I think that I was mistaken. I think that she was on Blood, Sweat & Heels, not RHOA
Prayers for Melyssa a props to Claudia. From someone heart rich and pocket poor. Love.
Claudia is such a fine friend. Miss her on RHOA.
What a gorgeous pic of Melyssa! I wish Claudia so much success with her effort to help her friend. I hope Bravo donates a very large amount. Melyssa is such a beautiful & interesting woman and they were lucky to have her on their network!
Sorry I donated and I think I might have clicked something to ask all people on social media to donate. Apologies
That said, a donation of just five bucks helps. They are getting small donations from tons of Blood Sweat and Hells fans, five dollars is the price of a cup of coffee these days. So if you have five bucks to help a sister out…
I have 🙏🏻For Melissa! I loved that show and her in it. Now for the next step that is going to probably start a hate on for me, but I am simply asking…why not wait to start a go fund me page for $100K once it’s known what her health insurance will pay vs. what her bills may be? I know what my insurance has to pay vs I have to pay out of pocket and it’s no where near $100k. Plus I pay for disability insurance in the case that I cannot work that covers my nut.
Independent contractors, AKA reality show participants have to buy their own health insurance. I realize that people with health insurance think Obama care is great. But it is not in many states. It is tens of thousands of dollars a year AND MOST PLACES HERE DO NOT TAKE THE INSURANCE.
Claudia started the Go Fund Me. I trust her to know that she needs the money. That is why I donated. Your mileage may vary. You do you. That said, while it is great that you have insurance, many of us, myself included do not. And I don’t see the point in questioning whether or not she needs the money. When you start a conversation about someone who is critically ill with, “probably going to start hate on you” is that little voice in your head telling you to SHUT THE FUCK UP. Trying to discourage others from donating is pretty evil. Congrats to you for having insurance, but not everyone has that luxury.
