UPDATE! Well, we have a glimmer of hope! Kenya just posted “Do you really think Bravo would talk to a trashy blog like “radar online?” When have you ever seen Bravo release cast info before the season starts on any cast member being fired or HIRED? ? N-E-V-E-R To the outlets that regurgitate their fake desperate stories: shame on you lazy MFs! Unless you hear it from me, it’s fake news! Reviewing my latest offer now ?? #teamtwirl #kenyamoore #rhoa”
Let’s hope for oursakes she can come to some sort of agreement with Bravo.
I’ve finally got the tea on what is going on with Kenya Moore and her future with Real Housewives of Atlanta. It’s not good news for Team Twirl.
Here is a reminder of my previous reports on the issue, “So again, to recap what I have said all along. Production planned to fire her. Then she got Marc to sign a release for previously filmed footage that he had refused to sign off on. She did great on the reunion. HOWEVER, when pick-up letters went out, Kenya’s did not go out with everyone else’s. Production is still furious with her. She was docked over $250,000 for not going on the trip because Marlo was there. So part of her option to be picked up for season eleven had some new contingencies. What were they? My sources seem to know but are not saying.”
I have now found out about some of those new contingencies. It all comes down to money. As I reported before Bravo continues to punish her over last season. I’m frankly surprised that she has a contract at all this season. However, ratings fell significantly last season beginning with the last two episodes of the Barcelona episodes. Many thought the ratings drop had to do with Kenya not going on the trip. Bravo reversed their decision about firing her and gave her the above mentioned contingencies. Bravo still hates Kenya and so they want to continue to “make her pay” for not telling them about the wedding, for refusing to go to Barcelona because of Kim, and then when they booted Kim from the trip, because of Marlo. Bravo remains very unhappy with Kenya. Kenya remains vital to the show.
Kenya’s pick up for season eleven included things that greatly reduce her overall pay. Bravo is not guaranteeing her full-time pay. Her pregnancy plays a significant role in this because they are not offering her an abbreviated shooting schedules to accommodate her pregnancy like they did with Kim, Kandi and Phaedra during their pregnancies. Essentially, when those housewives were pregnant, they filmed less but still had a scene in every episode to maintain their peach. This is a way to for them to keep the possibility open that she will be a friend. Kenya is not budging on this and said on social media she would walk before becoming a friend so this contingency needs to amended to give her the same filming privileges extended to other housewives who filmed while pregnant.
But it gets worse. Tamara Tattles sources say, “Porsha got a significant pay bump [For season 11] and she was okay with that but they’ve been on he show the same amount of time. Then word went out that Marlo got a significant bump as well.” Porsha has previously taken a pay cut over her violent behavior and was reduced to friend for a season so Kenya still makes more than Porsha. The news about Marlo’s huge pay jump seems to be what caused Kenya to try to renegotiate her contract for season eleven, Tamara Tattles sources have said.
At this point, Kenya and Bravo are still arguing over her rate of pay and her peach status. Bravo has a history of being cruel to Kenya, but using her pregnancy as a tool in punishing her is a new low.
Kenya is frustrated by the entire situation, but she is not going to back down from her demands to be paid what she is worth. Things appear to be at a stalemate and this is not good news.Tamara Tattles sources say she still has a little bit of time but Bravo well prepared to make the call to go on without her completely.Tamara Tattles sources say, “If she’s not filming by July 9, she’s out.” Basically, Kenya can take the contract that is being offered and start filming. Bravo’s stance is take it or leave it. Kenya seems to be willing to leave it. Right now neither side is willing to make any concessions; however, the clock has not yet run out.
Truly Original has to have the first rough cut to Bravo by July 31st. The first cast checks of the season will go out shortly thereafter.
So, Team Twirl, we have to reach out to Bravo and make our voices heard. We did not wait seven years for Kenya Moore to get married and have a baby to possibly miss the whole thing! We need to all post on Twitter and social media to let Bravo know that THEY NEED TO PAY KENYA WHAT SHE IS WORTH. And of course that we want her on season eleven. Spread the word anyway you can. Contact Bravo and Truly Original and get things trending on Twitter!
And we need to do it fast. There are only two weeks left!
