Sorry I missed last weekend’s Tomato Talk, it was a rough weekend for me. This is week eight since I planted and started the first post of the season. The early girl was supposed to produce a right fruit 57 days later and I counted forward and marked it on my calendar. That is today! And I have pulled two tomatoes from it today. The first one is perfectly ripe exactly on schedule and the second one is about twelves hours of sun behind. 🙂 It’s crazy how that can be timed so perfectly. I added those two to my window sill next to the two from the cheat plant.
And that is the end of the good news. All of my tomato plants, including the cheat plant have the fungus. Well there is some good news. All of the plants have a least one tomato trying to ripen. The cheat plant is otherwise healthy and has several. The yellow pair has TONS of green fruit. The Brandywine has only one, the san marzano has half a dozen and the Golden Jubilee has had one large tomato trying to do its thing for weeks now. The peppers are all dead. The herbs are trying to go to seed or in the case of the parsley yellowing in some parts. Yet, I shall forge ahead like none of this is happening!
I need to go buy some all the stuff for BLTs except tomatoes and Dukes, But after two very busy and productive days, I am doing sort of a water cleanse since yesterday’s ninety minute massage. I’m hoping this will help clean out all of the bad things I normally ingest. Right now I am sipping herbal tea and enjoying using one of my many tea sets.
I am supposed to be cleaning the house today but after a day or two of productivity, I usually just turn into a blob for a day or three.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads!
Now let me know how your garden is doing. It’s okay if it is flourishing. No really. I’ll be fine…
