I apparently caught at least this first scene with Kail and her gross podcast already. I either tuned out at that part or perhaps it was a rerun and I turned the channel.
Lux’s dad has filed for emergency visitation. She hasn’t talked to him in a couple months and says he has never asked to see the baby. Lux is four months old. The judge grants Chris supervised visits for the next four weeks. His aunt is the supervisor. Kailyn doesn’t like that. She doesn’t trust the aunt to be there. She is worried that he may get over nights with the baby soon.
Brianna is back home and Luis is in town. He hasn’t seem the baby yet but he is going to go with Briana to look for daycare places so she can go back to work. The next day Brianna and Luis find a daycare for Stella but of course her mother and her sister tag along. This cannot be healthy and it would drive me insane. Luis is voluntarily paying $250 a week for child support/daycare. This seems to make Brianna’s mother a bit too happy. Brianna cries when she drops them off at daycare. Supposedly the three of them are all going to work right after. Where do they work where they don’t have to brush their hair or put on clean clothes? I may want to work there too if they have good insurance.
Mama asks Nova is she is going to miss her mom now that she is going back to work. She says no because she doesn’t like taking care of her, she likes taking care of Stella. Let the sibling rivalry begin. When Mom points out that all three of them take care of Nova, Nova responds, “Ti Ti doesn’t because she’s too lazy.” Cut to Brittany drinking coke on the couch. Out of the mouths of babes. Nova is adorable and smart! When Brianna comes home Nova shuns her. Brianna gives her a hug but Nova is not having it.
Apparently, I did have this on in the background at some point because I remember this conversation between Jenelle and Jace and David’s girl about which words are bad. He asked if the c word was bad and she asked for clarification. He was asking about “crap.” I’m reminded of when I started teaching elementary school. The PC police are strong there. A kid came up to me a recess and was furious that another kid had said the s word. I asked the kid to tell me the word. He was sure he would immediately got to hell if he even uttered it for the purposes of an investigation. Finally, he tells me the kid told him to shut up. I asked him if he was talking. He said yes. I told him sounds to me like the kid doesn’t feel like talking to you. The kid looked at me like I had three heads. I get that a lot.
David and Jenelle leave their compound on THE LAND to head to a cabin in the mountains with all the kids for some winter sports. It’s Jenelle’s birthday. What could possibly go wrong? David got her a long weekend in Memphis and tickets to Cardi B’s concert there. Technically, Jenelle paid for it, but whatever. She’s used to that. These two are going to have to learn how to live off the land soon now that David is fired and Jenelle is hanging by a thread.
Apparently there was some sort of defugalty on the last night that Jenelle and David up all night. Jenelle blames the kids but after all that outdoor activity, I find it hard to believe the kids were not worn out. For whatever reason, they are cancelling all fun for the last day. At breakfast the kids are all up and running around the house in their PJs having fun. Did I mention fun was cancelled? David is threatening to make them all take naps. Did I mention he’s making breakfast? Kaiser says he has to poop. Request denied. Apparently he’s already been to the potty. Now they are saying that Kaiser woke them up at 5am. Sounds like they slept to me. I’d forgotten about the youngest girl. No wonder Kaiser is trying to get some attention. He tries punching a cameraman in the balls. I think David spanked him for that.
David and Jenelle try to turn off the cameras in the car with limited success. Then David tells the kids they are going straight home because they don’t know how to act right.
I don’t understand why Leah and Corey can’t do a joint birthday for the kids. It seems ridiculous to have two parties since they get along. Leah’s party theme is “Unicorn Poop.” Leah is not sure that therapy is doing much for Gracie and her anger issues. I can’t believe we have been watching this crap long enough for the twins to be EIGHT. Leah took the girls to one of those indoor fun houses for kids and the girls are having a blast.
Leah says that Jeremy has been calling a lot and interacting with her social media. He has asked her to do a joint birthday party with her for Addie’s birthday. Is he thinking of getting back together? Actually, he says he is really bothered by a scene he filmed months ago where he said he doesn’t regret his child but he sure as hell regrets who he had it with. He says it has been bothering him for months and he just wanted to apologize. He thanks her for being a great mom and how much she has grown. Sounds like he wants to get back together. What do y’all think about that? Leah has changed for the better lately.
Adam is taking Chelsea to court for yet another hearing. He wants his child support lowered because he doesn’t have a job. I wish she would just ask him to sign away his parental rights and be done with it. Chelsea is nervous about this latest case because last time Adam’s mom was mean to her. Chelsea is still debating talking to Aubree about her dad’s drug use. I’m not sure how I feel about that. I think I would just leave it at “he’s sick.” Kids this age tell their teacher everything rather directly or through their drawings and writings.
At the initial hearing Adam says he has no bank account because it was closed. He has no car. He can’t pay his utilities but his house is paid for. At least he did one smart thing with his Teen Mom money. He has no job. He hasn’t applied for a job. And the day of the hearing he decided to start his own business. He’s not sure what the business is yet Apparently it is something that doesn’t require a car or start-up fees. Adam claims that he can’t get a job because of his behavior on the show. Chelsea’s friend points out that no one around there even know about the show.
Y’all still watching?
