Did you all miss me?! Sorry this post is way overdue! I’ve been busy with my businesses and getting some things in order for myself. That being said, it’s never too late to talk about Survivor in my world! The latest season ended with a big bang that no one probably saw coming. We had two juggernauts in Wendell and Domenick battling for literally every vote they possibly could get. For most of the season, their tribe, Naviti, dominated nearly every aspect of the game with a major assist from Laurel throughout. If you need a refresher on the characters, I highly suggest checking out these posts here and here. I’m excited to share a few quick tidbits about some of the Survivors in real time!
Jenna and Sebastian: It can be argued that the viewers were left feeling unimpressed by both of these characters. While the editing left much to be desired, they really shined in their Ponderosa videos! Jenna’s sharp tongue and ability to crack jokes on others and herself made her seem like a comedic genius. Watching that clip of her and the obvious connection she had with Michael, I totally feel like they hooked up or at least wanted to. What am I saying, everyone of legal age wants to hook up with Michael! Sebastian’s video showed us his ability to be super goofy and free-spirited. Definitely check them out!
Well guess what these two are doing now? They’ve entered into a serious long-distance relationship and are hustling on social media! Their instagram page is super adorable to be honest and their first youtube vlog was interesting to say the least. I’ve noticed in these pictures and videos that Jenna has lost her resting bitch face. Happy looks good on her. They’re trying to really play up their coupling by calling their gig “Tarzan & Jen”. I’ve heard from some of my fellow Survivor fanatics online that they’re angling for an appearance on The Amazing Race. Admittedly, they say they’d like to get onto any show they can. I don’t blame them. Anyway, I think they’re actually super cute, but what do you all think? Do they come off as desperate, or are they just having fun and trying to turn their minute of fame into 15? Would you want to see them compete on The Amazing Race?
Donathan: It seems like Donathan has gone on a social media storm. He’s super interactive on all his platforms and has been enjoying his newfound “celebrity”. With that nice piece of $10k from Sia, he should be living a comfortable life in Kentucky for the next year. I do honestly believe he’ll use most of it to take care of his mother and grandma. I hope Aunt Patty gets a piece of coin too! Tai got $50k from Sia, but that actually went to a charity instead of an individual. Correct me in the comments if I’m wrong about that.
Laurel: She took a lot of heat and negativity this season for the decisions she made. After watching her interview with Rob Has A Podcast, it’s obvious to see that she hasn’t enjoyed the social media aspect of viewers critiquing her. Unlike the rest of the cast, she has chosen to not partake in social media whatsoever. It’s kind of sad, because it seems like her experience was really tarnished. She stands by the game she played which is refreshing despite the huge backlash. I stand by the opinion that she made really poor choices at the F8 and on, but we can fight about that in the comments below. Do you feel sorry for the harsh criticism Laurel has received post-show?
Domenick & Wendell: They’re both doing the usual stuff that recent Survivors do when they get off the show: spending time with other Survivors partying it up and promoting charity efforts. Nothing really interesting to see here. They seem to remain really close best friends. One thing of note is that Wendell has become pretty close with Big Brother 19’s winner: Josh! Based on Tamara’s recaps, I feel pretty good about those two being besties! I’m still a bit peeved that one of BB’s top sociopaths didn’t invite Josh to his post-finale party.
Chris: He is jetting back and forth between LA & NY for his modeling career. I know Michael is the obvious fan favorite, but Chris is hotter. There, I said it. Fight me. He’s also of an appropriate age. If only he didn’t talk. What do you think? The most interesting tidbit is that he is NOT rivals with Domenick anymore. In fact, they did an important fundraising event in support of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Remember when Chris cried about his mom, and we realized he was an actual human being? I bet that was an important event for them to do together. Their story came full circle.
Michael: I imagine he’s having a lot of sex right now. If you go to any of his social media accounts, people of all genders are fawning over him in desperation for his attention. The people are THIRSTY on the internet darling!! He’s busy making all the money from modeling. He’s booked in NY, London, Germany and LA. He landed a big gig with Major League Baseball. We will definitely see him in the game again mark my words! I’m actually so proud of him for how quickly he has found success. Watching his interviews and time on Survivor, I feel like he’s an old soul. My hope is that he remains grounded as life comes at him at lightning speed. I’m rooting for him still!
Well that’s officially it for Survivor Ghost Island! Is there any news on the latest cast that I missed? Is there a particular Survivor you were hoping to see me discuss here? Let me know in the comments below! Keep an eye out for the blog as my Aunt TT and I have some exciting things planned for me to write about while we wait for the next Survivor season!
