It’s the penultimate episode of season two, so things really should be coming together to make some sense out of a lot of things; however, the preview appears to show Sally working with the doctor and against the rest of the gang. Is she really double-crossing everyone else? Or will she ultimately double cross The Doctor? And how will this all end? I’m not really hopeful about a third season as the ratings have been pretty dreadful. Bravo doesn’t have a good audience for good scripted shows. It’s pearls before swine. Okay, I’m done with Southern Charm for now. Let’s see what happens!
I don’t remember the part about Patrick showing up from last week AT ALL. I would pause to rewatch but I can do that later I suppose. It’s very late and I know Radchick is going to be barking at the gates waiting on this recap, and I don’t want to delay her reactions. But the way, I really appreciate all of you who watch this show with me. I feel like this site needs more scripted show recaps. Pose is coming soon on Sunday nights on FX and I am trying to persuade Lady C to recap it. She’d be great at it. It is a LOT of work though and writing non-Bravo recaps for this site is a thankless job. Scripted shows are a lot more work than just narrating a bunch of entitled, mostly white ladies arguing with each other over $30 breakfasts.
Okay I already disagree with you guys. Y’all watched the opening a few days ago and said that Sophia Googling Richard in Scottsdale did not make sense. But it all made perfect sense to me. The only suspension of disbelief for me was that the Toby Jar lady would call Sophia to declutter her house. Why would she suddenly need to declutter? Also, can Sophia come to my house? I also love that a commenter, sorry I forget who, reminded me that Ezra is actually British so his fake British accent is actually his real accent and the American one is fake! This is just like the time I found out about House. I do not like it.
Max is with the TOV and Maddie and explains that they are going to steal all the files The Doctor has on them and destroy them, steal all of his money, plant the ring and turn him over to the FBI. As Richard sarcastically says, “That sounds easy.” Actually, it is everyone except Ezra who is with the Toby Jug Lady. Shelly is also there. They are going to make him think he won some sort of award and while he is at the ceremony they will go through his shit.
Ezra manages to get the ring before Sophia and he tells her about it. The jug lady forgot something and comes back to the house and Sophia makes it look like He was making a pass at her. That actually works well for him, he has what he came for. They somehow both are able to make an exit saying that they are sex addicts. I know. I don’t get it either but they both get to leave.
Ezra returns victorious with the ring, and unfortunately with Sophia in his wake. Sally is not to pleased to make her acquaintance. She almost kills her and then throws her in a bedroom. Sophia scales down a water pipe right when Maddie is returning. Somehow, Maddie instantly knows who she is. They meet waiting for the elevator and Maddie introduces herself as Ezra’s ex-wife. Sophia shoot back with, “aren’t you everyone’s ex-wife? Touché. Maddie convinces the group that they need Sophia because she is the only one The Doctor doesn’t know.
Ezra calls Patrick to tell him that they have the ring and a plan to deliver The Doctor to him. Patrick wonders why he would do that. Ezra explains that they want immunity.
Sophia is supposed to be The Doctor’s escort at the award ceremony. But why the hell are we supposed to believe that the gorgeous Sophia has never walked in heels? Every woman knows how to walk in heels. I mean I gave them up long ago in my quest to Meredith Baxter Birney my way through old age. Bt I mean I could if I wanted to. My cankles are just done. It seems like Sophia and Maddie will battle to the death for Ezra. I’m team Sophia. Somebody make me a t-shirt.
Richard is in a tree in the Doctor’s yard talking to Ezra. He’s pissy that Ezra doesn’t say “over” when he is done talking. I’m annoyed that the titular phrase is a paraphrase of Richard’s actual comments. Over.
I not quite sure how Patrick came into contact with the doctor that The Doctor sliced and diced but that doctor contacted him with Patrick in the room to tell him that he is going to win a prestigious award. And just like that the doctor is being reeled in. Patrick seems to be competing with the others over who can be responsible for his demise first. Oh wait, I am wrong. Sally seems to know everything that just happened including the fact they will need the presidential suite. How does she know that?
I know it is late and I have had wine. But I don’t get what is happening and I haven’t had that much wine.
In a perfect Imposters scene, Jules pretends to be Spanish royalty and Richard, Max and Ezra play along and they get the Presidential Suite they needed. How exactly The Doctor gets the key I am yet to understand.
Furthermore, I don’t understand why Patrick told a medical person to tip off The Doctor. But he did. The Doctor calls Sally to tell her about it. He asks if anyone is on to him, including Max and she reassured him that Max does not suspect a thing, “None of them do.” Whose side is Sally on?
Sophia tries to tell Ezra that Maddie is playing them. Maddie leaves the group early to go to her room. Ezra goes there to try to talk to her. He asks if everything is okay with them and she says it is. He sees a key to something, I am not sure what, the executive suite? And he pockets it. It is actually a key fob to a car. Maddie’s car. Ezra finds a vial in the car. But Maddie is on to him. She’s trying to kill The Doctor. I don’t see Ezra’s problem with that. It’s the only way they can all be free. Ezra is an asshole to her and she takes off. They both end up on a Niagara Falls boat tour. Or not. She led him on a wild goose chase and he is on the boat alone.
Ezra calls someone and says, “Yeah, it’s me. We have a problem.”
Who the hell is he calling? I am so confused. I’ll have to watch this later. But please explain this episode to me. I’m tired.
