It has been a full year since Kathryn and Thomas agreed on a very detailed parenting plan. Recently, I have received information that Thomas has continued to constantly force Kathryn to take random drug tests despite being tested and passing for a full year. This means that Kathryn has had to check the Wizard system every single day for nearly a year now. Missing a random request by Thomas would cause her to go all the way back to the first of the five phases and start again.
In the fifth and final stage of the plan, Kathryn has the children for a full week of supervised visitation, plus her weekend custody is no longer supervised. Both parties agreed to return to the court at this point to reevaluate custody. That court date is coming up.
My sources say that Kathryn plans to ask for 50/50 custody free from supervision. At that point child support would also be revisited. Because Thomas has been the primary custodian for the past year, Kathryn was required by law to pay child support to Thomas in the amount of $100 a month. In addition, she will asked to have the drug testing discontinued.
I am told that Kathryn is NOT going to ask for full custody at this time. For now she just wants joint unsupervised custody. Rumors that this upcoming case has anything to do with the charges against Thomas are not accurate. This hearing was scheduled as part of the original parenting plan. Kathryn’s plan is simply to increase custody to 50/50 for now.
I honestly was not sure Kathryn would make it through such a restrictive parenting plan, but she did it! After this next court hurdle, I’m sure she will be feeling relieved.
