First of all, I appreciate the emails over the random questions in comments. But, guys, do you not think if Kenya had been fired or demoted I would not have posted about it?
Nothing has changed. It is the off-season. People get fired right after the reunion. That is when options are picked up. Everyone was picked up except for Sheree and Kim. I am totally team Kenya, but if she was fired I would rush here to tell you. If she was demoted, I would rush here to tell you. You guys put me in awkward situations where I have to say that someone else’s sources are not aligned with mine.
I’m just a fat, often drunk, chick sitting on a couch in the ghetto. I don’t live with Kenya or even talk to Kenya. I don’t like to talk to anyone on the phone. She is not my source, as much as Andy Cohen wants you to think she is. I wish it were that easy. She is a source for another site and that site agrees with me that what you are reading now is not true. I’m only as good as my sources. My sources are really good.
So again, to recap what I have said all along. Production planned to fire her. Then she got Marc to sign a release for previously filmed footage that he had refused to sign off on. She did great on the reunion. HOWEVER, when pick-up letters went out, Kenya’s did not go out with everyone else’s. Production is still furious with her. She was docked over $250,000 for not going on the trip because Marlo was there. So part of her option to be picked up for season eleven had some new contingencies. What were they? My sources seem to know but are not saying. One thing I can tell you is that they cannot ask for proof of pregnancy. That violates HIPPA. They can demand that Marc film, which she has apparently made him agree to. They can require her to share her “pregnancy journey.” I am a Kenya fan, and even I find the entire pregnancy thing to be a bit weird. If you are 47 and pregnant, I would expect lots of buying fancy baby stuff, glowing photos with a bump. Production feels the same way. The are leery of the timing of the pregnancy.
I also know that Kenya and Marc have a very close relationship with an Atlanta foster home that is I want to say the oldest foster home for black children in the country. Don’t quote me on that. But they are very well-known and black celebrities have been very supportive of the place that has a very long history in the city. Make of that what you will.
So to be clear, Kenya has not been fired. Kenya has not been demoted. Everyone related to this show has been on hiatus and the ladies are doing their usual promotions. Technically they are looking at a possible filming start date of June 18th. However, that is a very soft date and much of the production team is on Don’t Be Tardy which wraps July first. So the real filming will begin in July, as always.
My source does say that “it’s a waiting game” regarding Kenya’s pregnancy. She needs to show up with a baby bump on her belly or a foster kid on her hip so they can map out her storyline.
No one gets picked up and fired before filming. No one gets picked up and dropped to “friend” before filming. I tell you all the time that situations change. At the end of the season before the reunion, Kenya knew she was not going to be asked back. She got Marc to sign a release and announced a pregnancy. Kenya always finds a way. With literally over a million dollars on the line, she be sure to do what it takes to hold a peach.
So while anything could happen, nothing is going to happen until filming for season eleven is over. And not a damn thing has happened since the pick up letters went out. And whatever Kenya’s stipulations are, she has not yet had a chance to meet them.
