Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and to all the daughters who are fortunate enough to have their moms still with them!
Since I don’t fall into either category, I was thinking it might be a good day to go to the tire store and get new tires. It’s hard to find two or three hours to do that. But I am feeling a bit lazy and a lot overwhelmed about all the pressing issues on my list of things to make and do. Then the power went out. For a very scary 15 minutes. When the power goes out I can’t use my landline to check and see if it is just me or everyone so I walked to a neighbors and theirs was out too. Since I can’t do any recapping or prep work I now have no excuse to avoid all the things I need to be doing. I was just about to force myself into the car, when the power came back on and all was right in my world. Putting up a Mother’s Day post seems way more important than getting safe tires on the car. Right? But now the power is out again. It’s hot today and the A/C doesn’t really work properly. I have a guy coming on Tuesday which is why I need to be cleaning up the shack in preparation. I don’t want him leaving with his little booties covered in dog hair.
So just when I was planning to finish this post at the tire store, the power is back on. It is a beautiful sunny day and I can’t imagine what is causing this unless we are all using too much power with our air conditioners.
Anyway, I hope you are all having a great time and have the same great weather I do. I’m going to post this as soon as the Internet boots up again.
What are your plans for Mother’s Day?
