Lilly Ghalichi formerly on Shahs of Sunset has been hit with a multimillion dollar lawsuit over two of her businesses. And ALL of her business personal and business is out in the streets. And it is jaw dropping. I am actually still reading through it.
There is no way for me to give you all the tea especially on my night off. Every word of this lawsuit is explosive. I am savoring every word.
If you came here for my trial watching posts initially, and still stuck around this is MUST READ.
So I am just going to strongly encourage you all to read the court documents obtained by Radar and then we will chat in comments. Even her engagement that was called off comes in to play. The bitch is sneaky, as Reza would say.
I read this the other day on Radar, and for some reason I couldn’t say I was shocked. I’ve been following Lilly since she had her first swimsuit company and I wanted to like her so much but her story has always been off. She seemed to go from one company to the next but still managed to have a very high maintance lifestyle. I hope I’m not breaking any rules but also whenever there was any dirt written about her I noticed that the next day it seemed to be gone, last time I saw something about her I even made sure to screen shot it cause I knew it would be gone the next day and sure enough it was.
I wasn’t enlightened about you, your site and readers/posters when you last covered a trial. I’m excited to hear your take on the lawsuit. I’ve read nothing yet.
Sad out of the gate for employees now unemployed. I’ll read your references first before forming anymore opinions or emotions.
Thank you TT!
phew – read the document. my disclaimer
I don’t know what show these people/person is in but I would be scarred.
I’m so confused… did Pedram not have legal representation when he decided to accept her offer of a 50% stake in her companies? Was the agreement drawn up by Lily or was the “agreement” their texts? Either way, sucks for Pedram. Sound like he’s the one that catapulted her products to fame because of his business models. Pretty shady chick.
Yeah weird, who does all this without a contract?
If the texts exist, they are legally binding and therefore a form of contract.
No, no, they are most definitely not.
A verbal agreement is valid in Aus, obviously very difficult to prove tho
I’ve read that texts and emails can be held as legally binding agreements. It’s a bit complicated -varies from state to state but it’s interesting-the internet has changed everything ( I coined that phrase, btw,)
Texts or any electronic messaging is not legally binding in California.
So I Google searched it as I know television judges will look at text messages as proof of an agreement, and didn’t see anything that stars that text messages weren’t a legally binding written agreement, but I’m not an attorney. I’m sure the judge will decide for sure.
The burden of proof in the lower courts (which the tv courts are modeled after) is quite low. As far as I can tell, anything in writing (an email, a post it note, a birthday card) will be considered but within the confines of context and authenticity.
Technology has reached a point where such things can be convincingly faked by the layman.
How did she think she would not get sued for this? I wonder if she has the money to pay?
Of course she has. She married super rich and her products made her super rich as well. Almost every beauty blogger on the internet advertises her lashes.
They’re good lashes lmao
So there’s that
Jesus-what a self-centered bitch! He literally did all the work and she took all the money. She has a law degree she knew what she was doing. No better than a common thief
This happens every day. It’s sad. I’ve seen it happen to other people. I’m getting screwed over in a divorce for being trusting and thinking the best about someone. He’s told lies and stole from me. I study Buddhism but I wonder if Karma is a real thing, what if he’s not punished this life and comes back as a bug in the next-I won’t appreciate it then! Unless I get to step on him – now that’s a thought!
what does her husband do and does he have a lot of money? i know she is having a baby also. maybe they have enough money to settle this out of court?
It seems like some of the reality stars tend to take advantage of those who try and do buisness with them, in exchange for the fame they bring. They dont seem like a very good bet. My theory on most of them, is they have spending habits that are unsustainable.
I liked Lily well enough when she was on Shahs but can’t say this is a big surprise. She may have done everything he alleges, but is he really as naïve and trusting as he presents himself? I mean come on. He sounds like Candide!
by the way, is ASA back on shahs this season?
I hope not!
Well, so much for Miss Sober!
I hate myself for breaking my ROL boycott (haven’t touched that trash site since they did my girl Big Ang wrong) but that was pretty juicy.
For an otherwise seemingly shrewd businessman, aside from the sublease he was very silly not to get a thing in writing. There is going to be much wrangling over the terms ‘take over’, ‘bring over’ ‘run/running’ etc.
I totally forgot Lilly is an attorney. So typical of a reality star to grab whatever cash she could in order to front on instagram without paying her bills. What a loser.
Text messages are a form of contract.
I had to read it twice, but it sounded like she didn’t own 100% of either company and therefore couldn’t give him half of it, though the documents don’t say those exact words.
That’s like saying a handshake is a contract. I’d love to see you back up your claim with facts and/or legitimate examples.
Steven Spielberg’s cocktail napkin contract with Amy Irving…
Not sure as to social media but a handshake can be a contract, a sloppy one but it still holds weight in court.
Since I can’t post links here, there’s no way of doing so, but you can Google it just like I did.
Thank you for informing us of this whole Google thing. Were it not for you we would have never known it was there or had your permission to utilize it. You are an Internet genius in whose footsteps we hope to follow.
Oh, come on that’s not fair. She asked for proof that I obviously can’t provide within the confines of your commenting rules, so I let her know where I got the info.
We’re not all snarky for the sake of being so.
Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to sign a written document to have a legally binding contract. handshake deals and verbal agreements can all be legally binding contracts, provided they comply with the following requirements: It’s obviously not the actual HANDSHAKE that matters but the following the matters:
The first element needed is an offer, but it doesn’t matter who makes it.
The other party must then accept the offer -Essential terms – all of the essential terms to the contract must be agreed
Consideration – there must be valuable “consideration”. Both parties to the contract must get some benefit from the contract
intention to be bound – the parties to the contract must intend to be legally bound to their promises. The intention of the parties is determined from the surrounding circumstances.
There’s something else but I’ve forgotten it!
I’ve run outta steam-that’s all I know from studying to be a paralegal for about 2 minutes and what I’ve read a bit online.
How do you not have a contract? Judge Judy would throw this out in a second!
Actually, Judge Judy asks for text messages between the parties and takes them into consideration.
omg I’m shaken. I’ve always been a big fan of her. This does not look good. I will be glued to my computer waiting for your posts on this subject matter.
As someone who spends a lot of time on YouTube watching my favorite beauty influencers, nearly all of which have 1/2 a million to 4 million + subscribers, I can attest to the fact that nearly all use and promote Lilly Lashes. I was thinking that while I couldn’t stand the woman on Shah’s, at least she had some good business sense and was using her reality fame to get rich.
To find out she’s been bleeding her own company dry and doing little to no work to support and maintain her brand is just shocking to me.
Can’t wait to see her attorneys response to the suit.
Damn. I actually liked her and thought she got out quickly from the Shaw shitshow because she was a decent human being. My bad. I hope this guy wins and she loses everything except a pot to poss in. She can serve as a warning to others.
This sounds interesting and I’ll be watching for updates.
The whole complaint is not there.
Wow! Now that I’ve read the court documents I can’t wait for the updates. I thought she left the show because she was smart but it looks like she’s out smarted herself. I will stay tuned.
Just WOW! Well, she can’t clam ignorance. All the guy suing her has to do is play back any episode of that show she is was on to prove she is a attorney; “Iam attorney” came out of her mouth every five minutes.
I love it! Never liked her on the show, there was just something “off” about her.
Personal anecdote alert, not an indictment. I was once very close to a Persian family. A lot of their business was also in LA, some in Beverly Hills. A lot of their employees were also Persian, be it family or not, though not exclusively. They all have a lot of money, as far as I could tell. A lot of hustle, too. Also, a lot of lawsuits. Like a LOT of lawsuits. It’s almost a venture in itself. The drugs are sort of surprising, though.
I always wondered how she could afford her lifestyle.
I follow her on instagram and all she does is get hair and glam done every day and post photos of herself, the mansion she and her husband are building, and all the expensive things she has.
I understand there will be her truth, his truth, and the middle but it does seem she owes him a good bit of money especially if he can prove he was the one who got Kylie Jenner to blub Lilly Lashes.
My eyes itch after reading this catastrophe! Very disappointing.
Sounds like she used a page out of the RHNJ playbook…use your business as a personal bank and partners be damned!
I have trouble with the accusation of marijuana use and Xanex addiction. You don’t use those two…especially together and maintain her hyper-ness and being beyond skinny. Substances may be used…but probably not those two.
I know someone (not my friend) who smokes weed (and meth) and loves benzos. You never know what a person will combine.
I hope this doesn’t get me put in the WLS but I have a question/observation. Kim Zolciak is constantly peddling the Lilly Lashes she “designed”. Thoughts on this one and consequences, if any?
I found it interesting that they were buying lashes from other retailers and slapping their label on them and jacking up the price. Then buying mink ones in bulk over seas. So I not understanding how Kim or anyone else “designed” any eyelashes at all.
I heard that too, and there was also that issue of her getting makeup brushes that were meant for another company and her selling them on her site. I think she had issued an apology or something and took them down.
That is where my thought was on this in regards to Kim, yet another lie exposed. Given these circumstances revealed in the court docs she did not design anything! Thank you for the post! I LOVE reading court docs and historically been my fave posts of yours when you dig in to cases!
Occupational hazard, I am going to wait until she files her answer before I pass judgment. Complaints always accuse everyone of everything. Sometimes the truth is somewhere in the middle, we will see….
One of my attorney friends says she can contest the text messages because there is no way to trace them like you can an email. Also her LLC is under a loan out corp and the LLC probably on has $1,000 in it for situations like this. She will probably settle for 10K or less to avoid legal fees. Apparently it is not as open and shut as it seems to me, Internet Lawyer Extraordinaire.
I don’t understand how anyone promises 50% of a company.. 49% maybe.. Keep control..
What did they say about Dhar? Let’s not forget her’s a convicted felon who pled guilty to five charges of felony fraud and was put on probation for five years. He’s STILL on probation yet started up LiveGlam and took hundreds of dollars from people who all hoped to become a real certified makeup artist. They even had credit card issues last year where the CA ATG made them send out notices that their website was compromised.
