We start with Ryan having a hissy fit about Maci. Ryan’s mom says there is still a lot of stuff that goes on between Maci and Ryan that nobody knows about. Ryan is glassy-eye and dipping into a bottle. He’s high and hostile. He finally agrees to go out on stage with his parents but not Maci. Mackenzie is out there too. Ryan says it is not a good time for him to be around Maci. His dad says that Mack told him that Maci is a trigger for Ryan. Dr. Drew is concerned that Ryan is not really on a treatment plan and suggests suboxone. Ryan says he takes that when he is having a bad day but he doesn’t want to get addicted to that and have to go back to rehab. Wow. Mack is a real bitch to Dr. Drew. She’s just a horrible person. Plus she has to know he’s using. Ryan finally says he doesn’t want to get into it with Maci today so that this can be over and he can go home and see his son next weekend. Wait. Maci is letting him see Bentley at this point? Bad idea. That whole segment was a waste of time and energy and is going to cause me to miss something more important when the DVR shuts off five minutes early.
Next is Maci and Taylor and Ryan’s parents. Maci just found out that Ryan was being drug tested by the legal system and Dr. Drew wants to know if that would satisfy her drug screen requests. She says yes. Maci says the reason that Ryan didn’t want to be out there is because he doesn’t want to answer for himself. He has a lot of people who answer questions for him. That is exactly what we just saw.
Next up is Amber and Gary and their new boos. I guess it is the pregnancy because Amber starts bawling like a baby right off the bat. She’s very hurt that Gary makes it seem like she’s a bad mother. Gary does not do that. Amber has been really mean to Kristina online. Both of them apologize to the other. Looks like a clean start. I thought we were going to see Andrew badmouthing Gary, but it looks like we are done with them.
So we move on to Tyler and Catelynn. Dr. Drew talks to Tyler about all the pressure he was under this season. Dr. Drew asks if he still smokes pot. He does but not around Amber. Tyler said Amber’s depression made him feel helpless.
Catelynn and Tyler are both crying about her suicidal feelings. Wow this show is depressing. Tyler has been diagnosed with bipolar depression.
Butch is still in rehab and phones in a call. He has just made the 12th step. He’s been clean since November… so about six months from when this was filmed. Butch seems good.
It’s time for the Interview with Deborah. As it turns out Farrah did go to her mother’s wedding. That’s a shocker! Deborah looks very happy. Wow! Farrah showed up in all black but she did not bring Sophia. That’s just petty. She does not speak with her mother at all now. Deborah is really worried about Farrah and the professional choices she is making. Drew and Deborah refer to her psychological problems getting the best of her.
Farrah looks thinner. She says that she was happy to go to her mother’s wedding. Sophia didn’t feel comfortable going. Dr. Drew talked about reports that she called her mother evil. She said that was a reaction to something her mother said about her and she doesn’t want to talk about it. Apparently, Deborah called her a narcissist who is incapable of loving others. Farrah mentions that she took a lie detector test to prove that she loves her mother. This sounds like something they did on Marriage Bootcamp. She refuses to discuss about whether or not she is in therapy. He tries to move on to dating. Nope she is not talking about that either. He did get a bit of a response about her issues with production. Basically she said their job was to edit her as a disgusting person. I should point out that Farrah had maintained a huge smile and some really crazy eyes for this entire interview. She is eerily poised and yet almost robotic. It’s like there is no one in there anymore. The lights are on but no one is home. It’s creepy and sad. I feel sorry for her. Dr. Drew asks if Sophia knows about her new line of work. She says, “Sophia knows I runs stores, I’m an entrepreneur, I’m a business mom, she knows about my social efforts in adult entertainment, she knows about all that. So does she know what her mother does? Yeah, there’s nothing to hide Dr. Drew, And if you wish to insinuate any other kind of negativity, Please just respect that.”
With regard to her departure from the show she said, “”I’m happy that I didn’t let anyone break me from my core, which I felt this production was doing and many other people around me. Not to say anything negative, those are just my feelings. I’m happy that I expressed that on social media and everywhere where I work, and hopefully I get a better environment because of me choosing to live a different life.”
Dr. Drew says he has enjoyed watching her grow up and thrive as an entrepreneur and mom. He was worried about all of them in their first seasons.
Farrah says that life is crazy. You can’t regret anything. She has adopted an “it is what it is”philosophy about her time on the show.
