It’s a beautiful day in the hood and I’m getting ready to go grab a quick bite with the family. This is the first really pretty weekend we’ve had all year. It’s finally time to switch over from heat to air conditioning and I REALLY need to have my A/C serviced. It’s on the mounting list of things to do along with replacing pretty much everything that one needs to replace from time to time on the car, getting my tax stuff to my attorney, getting the car washed and cleaned, getting a will in place, and the never-ending task of purging this house in preparation to move eventually. And that’s just some of the list. But today is Easter and I am going to get out in the sunshine and hang with the fam for a bit.
With Lent officially over, I’m excited to hear about how you did with your plans. For me, even when I modified the plan to give up slothfulness, I was unable to maintain my goals for the entire time. I was off to a fabulous start but the past couple of weeks have been difficult and I fell back into bad habits. The cleaners stopped coming and I will hopefully make some arrangements today to have them come back possibly with a bit of a change to the team. When they came every Friday, I would clean every Thursday and make sure dishes and such were caught up. And then on Saturday I would tackle a closet or a filing cabinet and purge. I do plan to get back on track with that. It’s crazy how much depression and the cleanliness level of the shack intertwine. I’m working on not giving myself too many days off from cleaning and losing the “I can do it tomorrow” attitude.
I also need to clean up my front yard! And get some pots ready for planting. I’m very late this year due to my loss of motivation to be productive the last few weeks. I’m hoping getting out into the world for a bit today will flip my mindset back I’ll be out buying plants to kill in no time.
For now I need to run to the grocery store and pick up a bottle of champs or an Easter lily or something for the hostess. Procrastination is STRONG today. UGH. I’ll see y’all for the RHOA finale tonight!
What are your Easter plans?
