We’re just about halfwauy through the show and things are starting to get serious. The couples have been together for just over four weeks, but one of those weeks was on their honeymoon and they didn’t move in together right away. So we are at the point where you have been on a very long vacation with your friends and are looking forward to them just going away.
Jon and Molly
Finally! Molly mentions Jaime and Doug and how she wasn’t attracted at first but their attraction grew over time and they are still together. I want Jaime to talk to her on the damn phone!
Molly and Jon go to a shooting range. Molly is attracted to Jon when he is shooting.
When these two get the assignment to switch phones for an hour, Molly seems very nervous. So does Jon. Molly says she feels like this is a test to show they don’t need to go through each other’s phones. They both decide they don’t have any need to look through the other’s phone.
Ryan & Jackie
I’ve never been overly confident in these two. Ryan staying out with the boys til all hours of the night in addition to the nights he is out working as a fireman is just unacceptable. Especially during a time where they have eight weeks to get to know each other before making a decision about their marriage!
When Jackie and Ryan talk about their fight over his boys night out, he doesn’t seem to take ownership or listen to Jackie’s feelings. Wow, he tells her that she is “way off on her perception.” But eventually they seem to hear each other out and make amends.
These two go to a wine and art date where they draw and paint a nude model. There are two guys and one other female that are drawing. Jackie can’t stop cracking up. Ryan is using Jackie’s drawing as his model.
When these two get the assignment to switch phones for an hour, they seem to do it with no anxiety. That’s a good sign. Ryan seems a little nervous, but he is going through with everything. They complete the problem with no issues.
Jephte & Shawnice
Jephte is the worst communicator in the world. He actually says, “I’ve never had to communicate before.” Jephte gives canned answers to all the fishbowl questions.
These two go on a double date with a couple of Jephte’s friends. The guy tries to take on a relationship coach role. He says that Jephte hasn’t been in a relationship before so it’s all new to him. How old is he again?
When these two get the assignment to switch phones for an hour, Jephte absolutely refuses. Then he calls someone to come get him and he leaves for the night. What a douchebag.
The Three Girls Meet With Dr. Jessica
Each girl writes down a number from 1-10 about how happy they are in their marriage. Molly says she is a 7 and she needs the physical attraction to click. Shawniece says she is at a 7.9. I thought she would probably say a million. She says for her to be completely happy she needs her husband to know he can trust her. Jackie says they are an 8. She just wants to work on their schedule and his desire to socialize without her. The therapist said they needed to maintain their me time. Really? That is the dumbest thing ever. Molly is going to take her damn me time! She has a fight with Jon about it. I am team Jon again. These eight weeks are not about me time, they are about married time and getting to know the stranger you walked down the aisle with before deciding if it is going to stick. You might miss a nail appointment here and there in the process. I can’t believe people actually enjoy going to the nail salon. I’m down with the leg massage but the rest of it is tedious and takes forever.
