60 Days In: Cover Blown

March 8, 2018 by tamaratattles 63 Comments

So on Thursday nights, I tape all the Shondaland shows so that when I am done working my job of recapping TV shows, I can watch my TV shows when I have the time. This gives my DVR fits because I also have lots of “work job shows” like this one that have to be taped. So tonight the DVR cut off a FULL FOUR MINUTES off the front to this show. Arrggh. They are already talking to Angele!

500 Zone

Meanwhile, Alan for some dumb reason wants to buy meth. This is another stupid idea. He wants to plunk down the meth on the table when he meets with Colonel Mark. What is wrong with these people?

It looks like they may be pulling their golden boy Nate out soon. Nate is very close with his cellmate, Desmond. He hates that he has been lying to him. He also has a relationship that he doesn’t want to lose once he is out. BUT HE IS NOT BLOWING HIS COVER.

600 Zone

Johnny has come after Emmanuel’s roommate for being disrespectful to the female guard. The roommate has threatened to stab Johnny. Johnny wants to beat the guys ass.

I don’t see the problem… I’m in LOVE, she’s so nurturing, she would never sell me out!

Apparently, they have told her that they have to pull her because she blew her cover. I missed the entire damn conversation. The producer told her that they have to return her to her pod and she is in a very dangerous situation. They are going to consult with Colonel Adger. Maybe that conversation will make it clear regarding what I missed. I don’t understand why they have the biggest scenes in the first five minutes of the show.

Angele goes to get Stephanie. That is STUPID. Now she is putting Stephanie in harm’s way. Not that I give a shit, but it is still stupid. She tells Stephanie that she did something really dumb and told Gabriella she’s undercover. Stephanie has a huge reaction.

The colonel says that Angele has got to go. Production pulls Angele out and she is taken to a meeting with the Colonel and another jail admin. When the colonel tells her that she is officially out of the program, she doesn’t seem to understand how serious her actions were. When asked if she had any regrets, she says no. She’s dumber than a box of rocks. How old is this girl, 13? She is defiant. She says she never said she was on 60 Days. She never mentioned anyone else. She doesn’t see why anyone else is is in danger. She’s really, really damn dumb. She says that is just happy she has met the love of her life. The drug addict, she met in prison.

The attorneys show up to tell Angele that she has breached her contract and will not be paid for her services. They offer her the opportunity to fix the breach by being sequestered in a hotel room for the final three and a half weeks of the program. Basically, they are trying to keep her from having contact with Gabby until production is over.

YAY! I am the sole survivor! Wait! OMG! I’m gonna die and I have no backups!

Meanwhile, everyone is wondering what happened to Angele. She has been gone for hours but all of her stuff is still there. Gabby starts going through her stuff. Gabby rats out Angele before she even made it back to her hotel. It seems like she knows about Stephanie too. When Stephanie comes into the cells she says she doesn’t mean to interrupt their conversation, and Gabby says, “Oh it’s probably something you already know.

Colonel Mark does an exit interview with Angele. He tells her that Gabby immediately told everyone she is undercover, Stephanie is in danger and EVERYONE is being pulled out. She acts like she doesn’t believe him because Gabby, her druggie girlfriend would never do that. Because criminals and drug addicts are known for their honesty.

You didn’t miss anything. Production just verified what we knew and sent her back in. Angele is a little “all about me”. She says we will see what the future holds and they don’t understand the connection she has with Gabby. She has no concern even though she has been told that others are in danger. I am so disappointed in her. She was the one who seemed to have her head screwed on right. She didn’t lose her smile until Colonel Adger got hold of her.

I guess the policeman really thinks he is undercover and is going to buy meth. He’s not undercover and it’s illegal. They seem to be pulling him out before he buys so Angele did him a favor.

Who knew Stephanie would be the last female standing.

oh man, like female and male’s inside jail or prison take their “LOVE AFFAIRS” outside the jail. its a “thing” to do in jail.. Gabby is NOT gonna be Angele’s girlfriend outside the jail.. Angele was the WRONG person to volunteer.. a Lesbian in a female jail.. is called the “CANDY STORE” and being so young 26.. hormones and all. Angele needs to grow up and see what she has potentially done to the program and stop thinking of her “sorry” pussy.. Gabby is a drug addict and is also very young.. of course the first thing she is gonna do is SNITCH… on her “girlfriend”…. so immature.. but that’s jail… Angele and Gabby had their 15 minutes of “LOVE” Gabby never said she was in love with Angele.. she said she cared about her.. and when in jail you will say just about anything to have an intimate relationship … so stupid…

You thought she had her head screwed on right? Apparently we were watching two completely different shows because she immediately looks like someone who could be easily influenced and become a participant in criminal behavior! Almost every single episode showed her being defiant. They should have chosen most of the participants differently. Most of them seem like they would have a high probability of participating in criminal behavior!

How damn dumb Angele is. This was just a vacation to her. I don’t know if she is naive about life or naive how criminals really are on the inside. Gabby probably considered Angele a inside, for the moment piece of ass, that’s all. Someone to pass the time with. I can see Angele ending up in jail.

Her willingness to consider herself an inmate and be just like them told me you are right- she actually said that to them. It became very comfortable to her too quickly. She had little or no brain in gear, for sure- the move question was amazing- her reaction showing she had not spent a second thinking about it at all. Or thinking about ANYTHING at all.

I would have thought they did far more work screening applicants for intellect, conscience, balance, rational approach to life, goals, etc. Angele had one agenda-w hat felt good to her at a given moment.
Nothing else mattered. The program was to much of an investment to be that vulnerable.

Selfish! I liked her until tonight’s episode when she revealed her true colors. They told her she broke her contract-didn’t care. Told her she put stephanie at risk-didn’t care. Betrayed the trust of the sherrif dept-didnt care. Put camera crew in jeopardy-refused to believe it. Told even the male participants were in danger-naively hadnt even occured to her. It was as if the whole place was a RL tinder app for her.

I disliked Stephanie until tonight, but she was the sensible one. She knew Gabi would ‘gab’ and reveal the whole operation. Inmates have nothing but time on their hands to gossip and of course Gabi would tell everybody why Angel was suddenly pulled out of the pod. Stupid, naive Angele. She was in complete denial even when the sheriff said he had it on video. It was all a joke to her. The only time itmgot real was when they wouldnt allow her to say goodbye and sequestered her. Dollars to donuts she would have snuck out to call Gabi.

Selfish. Disrespectful. Disdainful. Jerk. I thought she had integrity. I was wrong.

Ditto when she was getting high as a hawk on those ad hoc drug cocktail during her birthday party. I wouldn’t do it, but I can understand someone saying “I’ll a pill once in a while so the inmates don’t know they are a plant. Angele was partying like she was in the back alley of a club.

Rinse Repeat until the production crew finally gets the truth. She says not to worry, their secret is safe, Gabi loooovesmher. Since Angele was an agent of the Sheriff’s Dept., technically she committed a crime being intimate with a person who is in custody. They should have explained that to her when they saw she was getting close to Gabby.

I hope Gabby doesn’t take advantage of this situation and sue the Sheriff’s Department. I also hope that Gabby doesn’t take advantage of Angele and get her to move to Atlanta to take care of her habits. I hope that Angele’s story continue to be followed to see what happens when Gabby is released.

It is considered a major infraction to just be involved in a sexual relationship in jail much less admitting it to the sheriffs and smile and giggle after you’ve signed a contract saying you wouldn’t.

Angele was so gleeful and delighted to be in that nasty jail with “the love of her life”… 99% of all jail house romances end when one or the other gets released…Angele is very naive and self-centered. In the very beginning of the season and I saw her first interview when she was being introduced to the show I thought she would be trouble b/c of her arrogant attitude…It was so funny when she said Gabi wouldn’t tell as Gabi was blabbing everything to everybody…also when she kept saying their love was the “real thing”, I thought this girl is in for a shock !!! The sheriff wiped that silly grin off her face !

I was waiting to get to work today for TT’s recap of last nights mess!! Thanks TT!!!

I am shocked at how dumb Angele is! I really thought she would be able to handle it or when she was pulled out that she would be apologetic at the very least for her lapse in judgment and putting everyone in danger but NOPE she couldn’t care less! I had to laugh to myself when Col A brought her ass back to reality and told her their is video footage of Gabrielle telling everyone about her being undercover. You could see that Gabrielle was totally over her the second it sunk it that she was a plant and was gone. Like she ever had any intention of being with her when she is released! Angele is stupid and it pains me to say that because she had so much potential. After she got crazy and tried to fight the woman talking shit to the whole pod, I knew she was a lost cause.

TT I saw the attorney tell her she clearly breached her contract but when she said in order to “fix” the breach that she would have to agree to be sequestered, does that mean if she “fixed” the breach that they would then pay her for her time or just that then they would not sue her for breach?

It would have been fine if they hadn’t pulled her out like that -leaving her stuff behind. Gabrielle would not have said a WORD while Angele was still in there-that’s a fact -she hadn’t spoken thus far. The sudden removal of Angele with no goodbyes was the problem-the decision to pull Angele like that was the thing that brought this whole thing to light. That decision is on the jail staff and production-not on Angele.

Nikki, Angele put everyone at risk and fucked up the whole show. They needed to keep her sequestered without contact with the outside world until everything is done and the reunion is taped. If they didn’t hold her paycheck over her head, she would have bailed and gone to call Gabby.

So they will just pay her her contract fee once they are finished with damage control and filming the aftermath. The new contract will supercede the breached one.

I have to say, I would probably have blabbed if I were Gabby. If I really think that Angele is the only plant, then what is the harm in telling everyone? She is gone and Gabby is getting pressure from everyone wondering what she knows. I can understand her lack of concern for talking about it with the other women.

Angele is just immature. I did believe her statements regarding her childhood and lack of love/affection. Though it made me wonder if they did any psychological evaluations prior to them being accepted into the program. She definitely did Alan a favor! His statement of wanting to put a bag of meth in front of the Colonel is just stupid. He could not have meant that literally, how would he even get it out? What does he do with it once he has it? Leave it in his cell for officers to find when he gets pulled? Try to smuggle it out? What a terrible idea. I bet Nate is pissed at getting pulled early. Especially when he finds out it is because Angele couldn’t keep her mouth shut. Her feelings of disloyalty to her gf of 4 weeks is definitely comparable to his feelings of disloyalty to his cellmate and friend of 3+ months. He did not blab. Should be interesting when they all meet up. I still dislike Stephanie. One night of her seeming like the rational, sane female participant does not undo all the crazy.

I wonder how the inmates react once everyone is pulled? There have to be others in there that they think “could be” plants. Others that don’t quite fit in. Others that inmates simply want to attack and being a labeled a narc would be reason enough.

I actually think they should sue Angele either way even if she agreed to be sequestered. She gleefully and intentionally gave the info to Gabrielle and does not now and did not then, care about what would happen. She was trying to act all cute and shy when she first met her and got into the program but she showed her true colors when she was arguing with the crazy lady calling her dirty and no one else cared about it being said, so she had to get all extra and flex her muscles and show how tough she is and act like she was really going to fight the girl. Yea right. I’m so disgusted with her for disregarding the whole program. Can you imagine doing an undercover program like that for x amount of money and then acting like an idiot by choice and getting zero!?!? Hell no! And she thinks her love will conquer all. Honey, Gabrielle doesn’t love you never did and you were a means to an end to pass the time!

If and that’s a big if, Angele & Gabby get together in the real world, Gabby will use Angele for whatever she can get or steal to fuel her drug habit. Maybe they’ll be on Intervention next.

After watching the preview for next week, I am so afraid for the remaining participants.
There should have been a plan to be able to take them all out, literally, at the same time. The job would have been cancelled and it wouldn’t matter if the jig was up, anyway. My thought is that maybe they were payed one week at a time, so that was their motivation (?) to keep staying. I was frustrated that they seemed to wait and have a couple of meetings before reacting. How could they ever have said that the participants would be safe with that kind of response time. This is just like the button that Matt tried to press in the cell. Maybe the only answer to this problem is more employees and those asking for more money in payroll would be able to show this to whoever is providing the funds (?) in order to justify it.

If I were a participant that lasted this long… this is where I would blow it. I’m not good at lying. I just can’t think fast enough. Lol. It’s one thing to play a role, but another to lie (at least to me).., especially if one of your points of being in there is to show that everyone should just respected each other.

As far as Angele goes… now that we’ve seen more about what happened, and I’ve had more time to think about what she might have been thinking… this is what I came up with: First of all, she is coming from a history of having to be what she calls “strong” for herself. When she came to this opportunity, she truthfully wanted to bring a positive element to the jail… just like a sensitive poet might. The problem is that her world has been small and focused (in my theory scenario), and just doesn’t normally see the big picture of being part of a larger society. ‘Maybe more like… you do your thing and I’ll do mine. This is normally something that people, who have started to be more established in their life, will expand on. They are more aware of the cause and effect machine in a larger worldview. We’ve all been in situations where are immaturity found us making mistakes. In this case, she happened to be in a position that was a lot more potentially hazardous to others.
Maybe she hid her mindset well in her interviews for this show, but others will be dragged into being responsible as well. She did really look like she fell for her cellmate. This does look like a case where love is blind. The magical thinking comes from the immaturity… the defensiveness from experience.
I still wish her the best of luck dealing with and resolving this big mess.
I also can see why her cellmate-girlfriend spilled the beans… she left her back in her old reality.
(I don’t think that cell-dating is a good way to get to know people.)

I agree with what you have said. Angele is very young and inexperienced at life and here is a young sexy woman who is exploring her sexuality and she goes to jail FOR 60 DAYS never to have been in jail before, I think, and she is suddenly surrounded by all these different types of women and they all are loving her arrival…she’s cute and butch and can be very sweet and charming…in there she was her own commodity and it went to her head and she had no experience in how to handle it, she lost her mind and direction as to why she went there in the first place…jail is a false reality, an altered state of mind, a bunch of people with nothing but time on their hands…I (know) what I’m talking about, just sayin…

I was astonished at how cute she seemed to think she was as the show’s producers questioned her. She was utterly clueless about what she had done.

She obviously didn’t “get it” until the Colonel told her that Gabrielle had given her secret up to the other inmates, and it took her awhile even then.

I agree with others who said she’ll likely end up in prison herself. She obviously didn’t view it as a place of punishment, which for most of us is one of the most obvious deterrents against committing a crime.

Angele also put Gabby in danger. The inmates might beat Gabby’s ass for knowingly letting them do drugs, strip, etc knowing Angele was in there undercover.

I definitely think the inmates will start to resent and get pissed at Gabby. I would – especially if I thought that she had known for awhile and had gone along with it, kissing and snuggling with a snitch. What a fool to trust a drug addict who started spilling her guts before the cock crowed thrice! Dumb ass Angele, girl I liked you.

I also can’t stand Stephanie for how she messed over Jaclyn. I was hoping she would get a beat down.

I have empathy and compassion for Angele. Sadly, she followed her heart. Hopefully everything will work out ok for her.

Did you drop out of school in the eighth grade to milk cows? Because you are just as dumb as she is.

Gabby basically told everyone that Angele was an actor. I don’t think the other inmates will be so hard on Gabby. They can see she doesn’t know what’s going on with Angele leaving. I can’t wait to see how this plays out, just like Angele.

I think Stephanie will also be surprised at what she has to look forward to once she is released. Who would ever trust her. Even her siblings that she looks down on won’t want to have anything to do with her because she is only out for herself.

I just don’t understand Angele. Like, sister girl, girlfriend, I know you’ve had better pussy. I hope it was worth it but something tells me it definitely was not.

Maybe it was better BECAUSE it was in prison. She might want to move to Atlanta anyway to avoid facing her family and friends.

Alan thinks he can just walk out and hand the meth to the Colonel. What planet is he from?

Maybe the Colonel should’ve let Angele take her stuff out so nothing would’ve looked out of the ordinary to the other women. Just do it like usual. Put her back in for a half hour to grab her mattress and belongings. Perhaps she could’ve spoken to Gabrielle and reminded her to keep quiet and she’ll call her.

Just an FYI…. I appreciated the shows where they had some of the former participants watching along. Especially Sheri who later went to work inside the jail.

Way to go Angele! Not only did she jeopardise everyone else in the program but also the entire show. I have a feeling this may be the last season of 60 Days In. No other county jails will want A&E/60 Days inside their jails because of the enormous responsibility it will be to keep participants safe after this breach.

If Angele had been left in, any little argument or hurt feelings for the smallest thing between Angele and Gabbi could have caused a falling out and Gabrielle would have no doubt told everything. At that point there might have been no chance of getting Angele or any of the other participants out safely.

Look at her responses, body language and facial expressions…..She is a sociopath.

I counted three of them…. Though, to be fair,… I was watching a Criminal Minds (I think) show once, and one of the profilers said that many teenagers profile as sociopaths. So, if you are an immature adult, my guess is that it would explain a few things.
That being said… based on what little we actually saw of their total time, I’d be willing to give Stephanie some slack. They all went in with their own ideas and plans on how to survive, and I just think that Jaclyn’s plans didn’t mesh with Stephanie’s. She still had to deal with life in there after Jaclyn left.
My impression is that their normal lives have many differences as well.
(I’m still unhappy about her doing the drugs, though.)
