We are back to the model house and the very first scene is Rio taking digs at Kyra who won the challenge last week. It’s such a bad look for Rio. She was this close to going home last week. Jeana is BFF’s with Rio. They are two peas in a pod and sort of outside of the friend circle. Now we are seeing footage of Jeana being a bitch as well! Why haven’t they showed us this before.
This week is all about movement so they have brought in a movement coach. Jeana is very confident about her abilities and this week’s challenges. The coach gives a lot of critiques. Brendi K. is struggling with that. The winner of this challenge gets to take a friend and go to a spa. Brendi K. is motivated because she’s never been to a spa. Brendi K. screwed up her shot. She has lost her motivation and is super down on herself. Kyla also messed up her shoot. Jeana and Shanice were the top two. Sadly, Jeana wins and takes Rio to the spa. Ha! It’s a cryotherapy spa! Those things look miserable. They seemed to love it. When they get back to the house, the other girls ignore them. It’s sort of brutal. Girls can be such bitches.
Brendi wants to quit the competition. Erin tells Brendi that every time she gets a bad critique she gives up. All of the girls support her and try to convince her to stay. Except for Jeana and Rio.
For the main challenge, the girls go out to the desert to shoot with a giant parachute. It’s very windy. The giant metal tents all get caught in the wind and are blowing around everywhere! Jeana claims that she was hit in the back of the head with a metal tent pole. However, the footage doesn’t show her getting hit at all. She swears there is a knot on the back of her head and her eyeball is scratched from the sand. Really girl? Shanice says Jeana deserves an Oscar for her performance.
Brendi K. nails her shoot. Shanice looks great. Everyone seems to be doing great. Then Jeana takes her turn. She refuses to wear the shoes they gave her and doesn’t really do well with the shoot. Despite doing well with the shoot, Brendi K. continues to struggle with depression and self-doubt.
At judging, they go nuts for Shanice. They like Kyla, but Tyra was not impressed. Ashley and Tyra don’t agree about anyone really. They didn’t like Rio’s face. Khrystyana gets high praise that I don’t think is warranted this week. They don’t like Jeana’s photo because she looks short without he shoes. Brendi K. cries before they even critique her. She says she needs to go home and take care of herself. So she does.
Shanice wins best photo! Khrystyana was next, then Erin, then Rio. That leaves Jeana and Kyla in the bottom. Since Brendi left, Tyra lets them both stay.
Are you surprised Brendi K. wanted to go back to living in her car?
Next week: The final six are going on go-sees.
At first I just thought Brendi was a drama queen who wanted attention. Now I see clearly she is clinically depressed. Been there myself. It’s too bad she had the opportunity for this show when she was struggling so hard and couldn’t take full advantage. Hope she gets the help she needs to get past this. Rio can leave anytime now and take her BFF with her.
Am I the only one who was kind of shocked that Jeana is a bitch too? And then plays the victim? I thought she was just naive befriending Rio, but now we see they are two peas in a pod.
Brendi K. is going to regret quitting for the rest of her life.
I was shocked about Jeanna too…such a sh*t stirrer and a drama queen! (beautiful, but a jerk)
I pray that Brendi gets emotional wellness support, and goes on to live a meaningful life—otherwise she will regret leaving the show…and I hope Brendi and Shanice stay in touch and remain good friends. Love the two of them together!
Yes, I was surprised that Jeana was a bitch. Her arc of overcoming her pain and rocking her bald head was wonderful. Shocked to see what a jerk she is behind the scenes lol. Totally agree Brendi will regret this forever, I just hope she gets the help she needs so she can make a better life for herself.
I was surprised at Jeana. I was rooting for her at first. I guess that explains her weird melting/puffy face. It’s the mug she deserves. She was gifted with a beautiful face but her ugly shows through it.
I think she has come in second a few times when she could have won. Perhaps the judges are docking her for her attitude?
Poor Brendi. Even though it would seem to make sense that it would be better for her to be in a competition where there is at least a possibility of succeeding, she’s actually more comfortable with what she knows. And what Brendi knows is living in her car, consumed with self-doubt and depression. She can’t handle failure. A competition, especially a televised competition, is too much for her. Brendi’s harsh, judgmental mother has psychically injured her too deeply. I pray that beautiful, wounded Brendi gets the support and counseling that she so desperately needs. Oh, depressive disorder and anxiety suck. Really.
Rio is such a freakin’ disappointment. She is no longer attractive or likeable to me. She’s just petty and annoying.
I’m so disappointed that Brendi left. She needs to get into therapy and break her cycle of self-destuction.
