My recording is only 58 minutes and this show is usually over an hour, so I guess I will miss the ending. Have they always showed Jaclyn taking off her ring at the decision ceremony.
Shawniece & Jephte
How many times is Shawniece going to say the word “giftcards” to justify spending money on lingerie? Then we find out that Jephte had already told her he’s not into lingerie. Then she wants to talk about his fantasies. Clearly this is this weeks assignment. Shawniece’s fantasy is that her husband surprises her with three dozen roses and takes he to dinner. How is he going to afford dinner after buying three dozen roses? Jephte says he doesn’t have fantasies. Shawniece suggests they buy a stripper pole. Jephte wants a gold one.
Shawniece dresses up as a sexy fire fighter and shows off her rusty stripper poles skills. Jephte is sort of relieved that his wife is not a great stripper. It ends with Jephte taking his wife to the bedroom and closing the door. On the next day, Jephte surprises Shawniece with three dozen roses and takes her rollerskating. For the record, three dozen roses or some over the top expensive arrangement usually comes when they are apologizing for something. Shawniece says she grew up at the skating rink so it was the perfect date. Don’t make fun of me, but the Shawniece on this show is not the same Shawniece that is on ANTM right? Right. Just checking.
Jaclyn & Ryan
Ryan takes Jaclyn on a boat out on the lake with another couple. Ryan talks about wanting to build a log cabin on the lake. It didn’t seem that serious to me. It was like a”It would be nice to move to Paris.” kind of thing. Jaclyn talks to the other girl on the boat about Jaclyn’s busy work schedule. He has two jobs and two time consuming hobbies, paint balling and video games.
Later, Jaclyn talks to Ryan about his super busy lifestyle. She says he doesn’t want to change that too much. He is building a good work ethic, he says. I say it is too early in this process for him to make radical job changes.
Ryan brings Jaclyn home from a date and carries her over the threshold and all the way down a path of roses and candles to the bed with a heart-shaped rose petal design and some champagne. He leaves her on the bed sipping champagne and returns in his construction worker outfit.
Molly and Jon
These to meet to go bowling with Shawniece and Jephte. This is weird bowling. Jephte tells us he really hates to lose. That is a huge red flag with people I date. Molly is still trying to pretend like she ever plans to be intimate with Jon. Molly plans to get a red wig to surprise Jon with. This seems like taunting Jon to me. He is already attracted to her. She’s the one that needs him to go buy a club and a loincloth or something.
In an attempt to romance Molly, Jon has put on a suit and made a romantic dinner with wine. It seems that food and wine with her hot husband might be her love language. Molly changes into a red wig and becomes Rebecca a British girl. Jon graps “Rebecca” in a fireman carry and throws her on the bed. Later, we get an interview with Jon who is pissed that Molly just yawned and said she just wanted to go to bed. He’s furious that he is being led on by her. She says she just isn’t physically attracted to him. She asks him what she is supposed to do. Does she want to just quit? Because she wants to become attracted over time. They need to bring that one married couple in that is still married even thought she was not attracted to him at all in any way. They need that couple RIGHT NOW.
Then Jon repeats a story she clearly told him off camera about her and her friend going to a bar and picking up a guy for a three-way when she was in college. She’s the furious one now. She tells him she is done and she doesn’t want to be with him.
The counselors should have stepped in weeks ago and pointed out things like women become attracted to the man the fall in love with and men fall in love with the women they are attracted to. I’ve dated guys that I was not initially attracted to and once I was hooked on them, I found the to be very attractive. Why are these two not getting support from the counselors?
I am so surprised that the couple I thought were going to be great together are doing the worst. And Shawniece and Jephte are! I hope S and J stay together. Same with Jaclin and Ryan. So disappointed in Molly and Jon.
I agree. Not so much disappointed in Molly AND Jon, mostly just Molly! Shes frigid & ungrateful!
Has Molly been on any episodes of unfiltered?
John is hot. There must be a lot of nasty stuff that got edited out, because I can’t see why’s Molly isn’t feeling it.
Is he still jobless? I wouldn’t be attracted to my new husband if he was good with that! Get a job !
Molly is not really being honest about the whole attraction thing. She was attracted to him up until they got to Jamaica. Then he acted like a goofy kid who had never been anywhere or done anything. If I recall correctly, they both travel a lot and she wants to be with a man and not someone who acts like a kid. He’s not manly enough for her. She likes suit and tie Jon but not playful boyish Jon. She’s attracted to more of a manly man who takes charge and provides protection, not someone she feels like she has to mother and keep him from shooting his eye out. It’s not a physical thing.
I don’t know if any of them will last. It’s a ridiculous concept marrying at first sight
Molly clearly isn’t into Jon. I feel they are all desperate to have signed up for this show
Molly was cruel to Jon when she dressed up with the red wig, went into the bedroom and then totally cut him off. He must be very confused when she talks about picking up a random frat guy for a threesome, and yet she won’t sleep with her husband. She’s obviously someone who’s quite comfortable with experimenting and casual sex, so he has to be wondering what’s wrong with him.
I don’t think Jaclyn and Ryan will be together at the end, but really surprised that I think Jephte and Shawniece will be.
This whole episode was so embarrassing and staged to me. I was cringing all the way through. I think Tamara’s comment about Molly at 10:31 pm is spot on.
I was astounded in the “coming up” scenes to see that Molly and Jon were even speaking cordially. I can understand that he is frustrated by her mixed signals, but he really blew it by betraying her trust about the threesome story she told him.
I think maybe next weeks ep. was filmed before this past week. Someone on Twitter said that they noticed how next week is their one mnth anniversary, but this weeks episode, Jon said they’ve been together 5 weeks. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s filmed & edited al outta whack!
I thought that Molly had admitted she’d had a threesome to the counselors on camera — so Jon wasn’t telling a secret.
Things have really changed! I think Jephte and Shawneice stand a real chance at making their marriage work!
Jaclyn and Ryan? I can see them working too. I like Ryan more every week.
Not Jon and Molly..Is he looking for a job? When she came home to his “dress up supper” she commented that she expected to find him on the couch watching sports. I agree, the wig was cruel. Why would she tease him like that? She obviously had no intention of being intimate!
All that being said, very cringe worthy watching the “fantasy” exercises.
What kind of bowling was that? I haven’t been bowling in years but that looked really different!
Was it candlepin bowling with skinny pins and a smaller ball? I know that’s a New England thing. My hubby is from NH and that’s all he ever played until he moved. I’d never seen it though.
Yes, it was.
So from insider view point I know there are 55 hours of footage of each couple each week. They only get 15 minutes on the show. I’ll get some more info. My best friend is the EP.
Yes, it was candlepin bowling. I’m from CT, it’s one of those weird New England things like where we call sub sandwiches “grinders.”
Jephte has really surprised me. I think those two will make it.
Poor, poor Jon. He needs to get out of that marriage. I’m surprised he even wanted to do this show. He’s super cute and has a very nice body.
In one of the first or second episodes, Molly told the camera that she’s always had a problem with touching. I remember hearing this because I remarked to myself that that’s a pretty big deal and something the “experts” should have explored fully before matching her with a man who expects intimacy in his marriage.
I would only hope with Jon he was smart enough to have money saved up before quitting a job. I’ve been betting on him having a savings and if so I don’t see Molly minding him being without a job short term. She’s already mentioned she doesn’t mind his situation. So I don’t think it’s the job turning her off.
The experts don’t seem to explore these people in depth. Or better yet they did and mismatched them for ratings.
