We begin with the skiing competition Ross let’s us know that Omarosa’s been trashtalking him and he feels like he has to win. Mark says it is time for him to actually win something to build his resume for the final two. Marissa is praying for …well nothing. She was the first to take an ugly fall. Ari was next, and Omarosa’s hopes and dreams were dashed. Ross cuts a deal with Mark. Mark struggles with whether or not to take Ross’s deal. He is doing much better at the challenge than Ross. Ross begs. Ross plays the “Mom card”, saying he wants to hear from his mom who has cancer. Mark agreed. Last night, Ross gave Mark the HOH room for the last night in the house. Marissa says she is not going to be panic when she gets on the block.
Ross cries to Ari and Marissa about being the fat, gay, kid from a farm town who now has a chance at winning this game. Ari promises to take Ross if she wins HOH. If that happens, Ari has a huge chance of winning. Ari and Omarosa are nominated for eviction. Ross has a final two with everyone in the house except Omarosa. Omarosa dressed to the nines for the eviction ceremony.
The veto comp was the dates challenge, but they also had to climb a wall. Ross and Marissa both studied for this all season. Both Ross and Marissa got all the dates right. Omarosa only got one right! Marissa was very slow on the wall. Ross wins in the tiebreaker for having the fastest time.
Ross chose not to use the power of veto. And we are finally up to the live part! Omarosa knows she is going and she gives this weird religious speech to Ari saying that she knows God is going to give her the crown tonight. Then in her final plea to stay, Ari says that coming into the house she was known for two minutes of her life and she is happy to show more about her life and she wants to stay. Omarosa gives a religious speech again and ends with her White House Moment of the night basically saying we have to get to the ballot box and vote against hatred and bigotry. Omarosa is eliminated in a 2-0 vote.
Omarosa says she was authentic in the house and it was a great opportunity to let people know the real her. She says she was thrilled to be on the show because she is such a superfan. Julie asks about her remark that she the nation is not okay. She seems to be changing her mind about that. l
Next it is time for the final HOH comp. No matter who wins, Ross is in the final two. It’s just a matter of who wins. The HOH is a mental one there are fake tweets between two houseguests each have a statement in all caps, one is true and the other is false. They have to pick the evicted house guest with the fake news on their timeline. All the tweets are facts from the house, like the date they were evicted. Ross and Marissa are the most likely to win this. Ross does NOT want Marissa to win. Marissa was the only one to get the first one right! Everyone got the second one right. Everyone got the third one right. Everyone got the fourth one right. Marissa is going to win this. Everyone got the fifth one right. If Marrisa gets the last one right, she is the final HOH! MARISSA MISSES THE LAST QUESTION! It’s a three-way tie between Ross, Mark and Marissa! Marissa is devastated.
The tiebreaker question is “How long in seconds was the Rocky Mountain Fly HOH comp?” It was 600 seconds. Marissa won the final HOH. I think Ross still wins but not if all the girls vote for Marissa! I think she should take Mark to the final two. She could beat him. But she takes Ross. Second place gets her $50K though!
Ari and Mark go talk to Julie. She asks if Marissa just gave away half a million dollars. They both politely dodge the question by talking about how great their friendship is. Every talks about how hard it is in the Big Brother house when they come out. It really was. There are no windows and the short schedule meant they almost never saw the sun. Ari says the experience was better than Miss Universe. Mark said it was a really hard but really great experience.
Marissa’s win really lead to the excitement in the finale. This makes things slightly more interesting. But I do think Ross wins.
Brandy asks what they regret most about how they played the game. Marissa says got her it was when two friends were on the block. She should have said evicting Shannon because Shannon hates them both and her vote is up for grabs. Ross says he regrets making a final two with Brandi on day two that he could not keep.
James asks if it was important to stay true to your word or would you do anything to win. Ross says that throughout the game as power shifts he has to pivot to a new opportunity. He says he was true to his character. Marissa said everything she said, she meant at the time.
Shannon asks why one deserves to win over the other. Marissa says… I dunno what she said. Something about being true to the girls. She makes no sense. Ross talked about pivoting some more. He says that he also changed his game play to let Keisha and Metta go home.
Omarosa has the last question. What was their biggest lie and how did their strategy change. Marissa said her strategy never changed and her biggest lie was not telling Chuck he was going home when she knew he was. Ross also says his strategy never changed. His biggest lies were not keeping his word to Brandi and not telling all the truth all the time.
Marissa didn’t prepare a speech. She says that she took Ross to the final two even knowing he will probably beat her because she stayed true to their final two. Ross says he has two HOHs and three powers of veto. He says he too was loyal to Marissa even though everyone knows he was going to take Mark. Chuck picked the person who “played the straightest game.” Interesting word. Keisha says she voted for the person who was the most upfront and “played the straightest game.” Do they realize what they are saying? Shannon said she voted for the person who was a little more honest with her. Metta tells Marissa he loves her. Metta says he is just going to close his eyes and pick a key! OMG! Metta is an idiot. Brandi says she is voting for the shadiest person in the house. James says he is taking emotion out of his vote, and that their speeches changed the way that he is voting!!! Omarosa basically says she is voting for Marissa. Ari is struggling to decide who to vote for. She says she voted for the person with the most honest game. I think Marissa may win this! Mark said he loves them both but one person since day one was on his side. That’s a Ross vote. This is going to be close.
Before we see who wins, the jury talks to Julie about what they saw on TV and asked what they were surprised by. Shannon says the fact that everyone was trying to backdoor her and that the two people she liked the most, Ross and Marissa stabbed her in the back. Marissa says she knew the only way to get her out was to backdoor her. Ross says Shannon is the best who ever played this game. Keisha seems angry at Ross for having so many alliances. He really should have explained that better. Metta said he was amazed by Ross’s gameplay because he played without integrity.
They play Brandi’s goodby message to James. It wasn’t that bad considering it was Brandi. James tells Brandi that in real life he has so much love her. She says “me too.” Neither of them mean it.
It’s time to count the votes! It takes five votes to win. Mark voted Ross, Ari voted Marisssa. Omarosa voted for Marissa. James voted for Marissa. Brandi voted for Ross. Metta voted for Ross. We are tied, three to three. Shannon voted for Marissa. Keisha voted for Marissa! Marissa WON! I love a surprise winner! Marissa is hysterical and I can’t believe how happy I am for her, since I was pulling for Ross. Chuck also voted for Marissa!
America’s favorite player was between Shannon, James and Ross. Ross won! So he gets $75K! Ross said he turned to Marissa in the commercial and asked if he was the villain. No Ross, most people just didn’t understand Big Brother gameplay and the people who voted were actual Big Brother fans. I voted for James. Marissa was hated by the Big Brother fans mostly for her incessant talking and saying “like” every third word on the live feeds. They were really mean to her but this will both piss them off and make her not care what they thought.
Damn! Well, I did love the final 2. Congrats Marissa!
Ross was robbed! I liked when he had to remind the buffoons on the stage with him that they were playing BIG BROTHER not Most honest human on the planet, LOL
Marissa seems nice but I classify her as a floater and I hate when the game players like Ross, James, Omarossa and Shannon loose to people who did nothing but smile, talk and get lucky at the end.
The fact that America’s most favorite was between Ross, James and Shannon speaks to this. I hope next Celebrity Apprentice they let America control more of the game because the celebrities are clearly clueless which is ironic because this was my favorite season because of the game play.
Hey LaNY
I wanted Ross to win as well! to me “ego’s” were first and foremost in voting who will win CBB.
James was so busy patting himself on the back – he emotionally voted for Marissa.
Hi Sameal
agreed. James should not have voted for Marissa. I hope the next batch of Celebrities receive a tutorial on how the game is played because it’s still baffling to me that most of them played a good game, except Marissa and Mark and yet they voted for a floater :/
I was shocked that all the work that Ross put into it became trash – cuz feelings and ego’ were more important!
Brandi kept her word to Ross – event hough Ross screwed her over.
yeah, we are sitting here blabbing about who could be the next – F level celebs
Kathy Griffin – she has been in tons of reality shows and is controversial
Maury Povich – he used to have good talks shows then he went into trash tv
Lindsay Lohan- for the pleasure of watching her – she sux
All great. And Farrah Abraham lol. My British family said she was quite the C word when she was on CBB in the UK!
In the end, BB and BBCelebrity are two very different games- as this version played out, with woefully uninformed played/voters. From the brevity of the season forcing events to move very quickly, to generally more mature and experienced players in BBC, to lack of romance, to more ability to both discern truth and avoid nonsense, the BBC season had a lot going for it. But it also had very emotional players with egos who lacked insight into the BB process ,and naively thought they could drive it as they wanted it to be.
Some of them made rookie mistakes. Shannon was a very good player but assumed that was all she needed- when she needed to play strategically: hang back, not win everything, and wait for her moments. James’ ego and attitude offset his strengths, and he might have been driven out earlier had there not been so many floaters. Production needed to do a far better job screening floaters and celebs who a didn’t have any business there,
OF course Brandi’s drinking and inability to control her ego and teenage emotions made for an interesting show but reduced her chances. It was surprising that she showed up for jury night still angry about a key element of the BB show-and urged others to join her- while Omarosa was openly soliciting votes- in her anger at Ross for working with the alliance that best suited his needs as her exit time approached, which was naïve and silly.
It is how the game works- and she said at one point that she would do the same in the same situation. So while Brandi voted for Ross, which she said she would not do, she said he was shadiest and , I think, negatively impacted votes for him, which was silly. Ross played by far the best game , from a variety of different standpoints – he was rational, fast on his feet, winning, organized, and both out-,finessed and out-played the vast majority. Meanwhile, he was kind and thoughtful, a good friend to most the majority of the time. But it never made sense for him(or any other player) to be more loyal to someone else than to himself, in the game. No one else would have expected that – why would these celebrities? I would argue that they are all so self-indulgent and used to having minions taking care of and coddling even these z-level celebrities that that is what they expect from everyone- goodness help their spouses and friends.
So Ross won- hook, line and sinker, to me. And the AFP proved it cause the viewers can depersonalize it and see it clearly, while the celebrities have themselves on pedestals.( No one dare not only commit to them= how dare they have a deal with anyone else? )Ross may have had a few too many deals- but the closeness is what complicates/brings life to the game.
Marissa floated the entire season- she used NO brain power, managed to offend most, and won only on Ross’ coat tails and thinking. BB had Jesse do the same to Paul last season-but Paul offended all players in the process last season ,which was very different. Ross was neither conniving, manipulative in the selfish way Paul was, nor as cutthroat as Paul. He wanted to win, but not in the usury way we saw others over the seasons.
Marissa neither earned this or deserved it in any way. These false womens’ votes further the womens’ vote problem too, since she did not earn it rightfully, it was emotional and dumb and a problem for hard working smart women everywhere. Heck, the woman was a slob who did not even clean up after herself- and cannot say a sentence without using the word ” like” in it five times. I know she had cancer but we didn’t hear about that until she pulled the c card for a vote in the end. Sorry, no sale on the winer. But very entertaining, good to see new games, and CBS has a challenge in bringing back a new BB that uses tmie more wisely and chooses players more thoughtfully. I am sorry to see it go.
If Shannon, Ari or Omarosa won then a ‘girl power vote’ would have meant something but like Samael said this was a bunch of over sensative celebs who let their bruised ego dictatd their vote.
Production need to do a better job selecting the next set of celebrities.
Ross was robbed. She did nothing. Those “celebrities” voted off emotions they were still in payback mode. Took EVERYTHING for Shannon to keep the smile on her face. Ross should have won. And we all know you were taking Mark not Marissa if you won.
Happy about Fan Favorite..
When Julie had to explain to Metta what he was voting for I fell out my bed 😂. Interesting season indeed and that’s all I got.
The girls wanted a girl to win. Marisa said that Ross had ideas and she followed them. He should have won!
Ross played the best game and deserved to win. I really thought he would win, but then I was thinking as a BB fan. These fools don’t know the game and voted for the person who hurt their collective feelings the least.
I’m really disappointed for Ross. He was the best player and should have won.
It’s going to take a long time for Ross to get over this loss. You could tell he was really hurt that everyone voted with emotions.
I laughed at Shannon’s bitterness.
Happy for Marissa…
Metta better be glad it didn’t come down to his vote breaking the tie. What an idiotic move on his part.
Sad that I missed the whole Shannon thing
-Thamk You for recap was away so I missed it… I missed last few episodes so shame on me and I love this show just been a crazy life lately ..lol.
I would of voted James as fan fav he really was playing the game.
I liked Ross just had a difficult time with his voice I have sensitive ears ,no lie that certain pitches and sounds are like finger nails on a chalk board and his voice is 1..I guesS it is ok Marissa won not who I would of voted for but oh well she did scheme some.
I think Ross deserved the win out of the two of them. Marissa was a bit of a cry baby and very manipulative.
Shannon campaigning for Marissa wasn’t cool – Even Julie Chen had to shut her down.
I think James was embarrassed by how much twitter followers bagged him out and made that fake thing to Brandi. Egg on his face…
Hey Stephanie!
totally agree – Ross was robbed! Marissa had to be shut up by Julie! James deserved to lose for sure!
You did it Tamara! your blog is one of the rare breeds that covered CBB – you are part of CBB history!!
ok – NOW – I understand CBB! Marissa totally earned her win! And it was so cool that the Jury was able to ask Marissa and Ross questions! Of course Brandi squished out an apology twice from her bud Ross!
Shannon and James hold grudges – yet as Ross said at the end of the show “HELLO – it’s big brother!” I am so glad Marissa won! Cool that Ross won fav houseguest!
Again, Thanks Tamara for watching the live feeds and keeping us updated!
I never watched BB, and I even understand that it’s a game. I think the panel voted out of spite, hurt feelings etc… Ross should of won, he earned it more than Marissa. James, Ross and Ariadna were my favorite. Brandi gave us some good entertainment though, especially BBAD. I’m going to miss BBAD because I’m a night owl and it was fun to watch.
Thanks for recapping Tamara. Your site is my favorite.
Such a great season! Ross would have won if the jury was sequestered, maybe? But, I’m happy for Marissa.
Couldn’t fit the show into my schedule but I really enjoyed your recaps and the comments. Perhaps next time it airs I won’t be so short on time.
What a bad ending to a great season! Ross was so robbed. These bitter juries are ruining the game. Event the so-called “superfan” Shannon cast a bitter vote. The jury kept mentioning about who played the more honest game but this isn’t catholic school, it’s Big Brother! I’m glad Ross at least got America’s Favorite. Overall, I loved Celebrity Big Brother and I hope we get more seasons.
I’m with you! Gotta wonder about both Chuck and Keshia voting for the person who played the “straightest” game. How carefully chosen was that word? I loved this show, but found the ending very anticlimactic. Marissa could not articulate one reason she should win, and she was right IMO. I’m sorry this one is over. I loved Ariadna.
Straight vs Crooked. Ross did play a deceitful game, but this is Celebrity Big Brother where the lies are dressed prettier but are lies none the less.
Maybe…we don’t know, do we?
I too love a surprise winner! At the end of the day, Marissa deserved the win—jury management is as much a part of the game as strategy. As much as Ross held it against Shannon, he overplayed with all those alliances and final twos. Omarosa called it.
What’s with all the James hate? He was such a strong player—unlike Shannon, he knew when to just lay low and throw a comp. Too bad he had to be in the house with Brandi. Hope they have him back next season.
What a strategic season—one without showmances and an excess of production interference. Best in years. Thank you Tamara for the coverage, much appreciated.
Nothing personal against Marissa, but she did not deserve to win. The jury voted based on their emotions, not on who played the smartest game, and Ross was head and shoulders above Marissa. At least Ross won the 75K, so that was some consolation. Metta was a colossal wast of a contestant, in every way. James was non-stop irritating. Omarosa is one of the biggest hypocrites and liars ever to be on TV – I can see why she appealed to Trump. I liked Ari a lot – would have liked to see her win, if Ross couldn’t. Mark was OK – neither loved nor disliked him. Keisha shouldn’t have been there – you can’t be a breast-feeding mom and in the BB house. Chuck – definitely more suited to Amazing Race. Overall, an enjoyable season.

I think viewers took Brandi’s comment about voting for the shadiest player too seriously. If they would have watched the feeds they would have seen that Brandi and Ross were ok with each other before Brandi was evicted.
Omarosa is not a nice lady. When the players talked about Omarosa’s softer side I just wanted to scream–it’s strategic!!
Metta and Keisha–boooo!! Too bad someone who was willing to play didn’t get their spots.
I wanted Brandi or Ary to win but always had my eye on Ross. He was my choice if “Ar-andi” was evicted.
I like James but he is cocky and his ego is pretty fragile. I think it went South on the first day when Brandi was asking James and Mark about singing.
Fun show. I haven’t watched it since Evil Dick but I will tune in.
Am I the only one who was actually rooting for Omarosa?? While at times she was shady, and conniving, I found her to generally be very pleasant. Loved Ari as well.. If anyone other than Ross or Marissa had won the HoH competition, Ari definitely would have won the game.
I kinda liked Omarosa too, didn’t want to but I did. I found it kind of odd that she only got one right in the HOH, she claims to be a super fan but didn’t know to keep track of days and events?
Even though I didn’t want Marissa to win, I’m mad about it. She was so happy and brought Ross with her..even though everyone was pulling for him. I hope they have another season and pick better celebrities that realize it’s a game and not beg to go home and kill the suspense.
*not mad 🙂
I thought it was $25K? Also, I don’t think Ross was robbbed moreso that he fell down on the important part of jury management. (Which a lot of people tend to do these days) Marissa did a better job than he did (and that Ross didn’t stroke very ego driven people on their way out.) He didn’t completely own his game in the final speech.
Omarosa was EVERYTHING on #BBceleb Lady O was my favorite player.
Ross losing was a horrible end to a great season.
The funny thing is everyone has been commenting on how awesome this season was because the game play was superior. Well then game play doesn’t get rewarded. It’s hard and it could possibly lead to players not really “playing”, if juries are going to hold that against you.
Shannon was awful. I wanted to LOVE her, but she turned into an entitled, pretentious, PIA.
She doesn’t seem like the super fan I thought she always claimed to be.
Let this be a life lesson:
People won’t necssarily remember what you DID to them; they’ll remember how you made them FEEL.
Then don’t play Big Brother
I think this season was different because the celebrity houseguests were paid just to be on the show, much more than the typical BB stipend, so I doubt Keshia planned to be there long, especially once she realized she couldn’t win anyway. Probably Metta as well, judging from how he did zero preparation for the game and seemed to want to go home right away. If there is another season of CBBUS, I really hope CBS finds players who truly want to be there.
I did not think Marissa deserved to win, but it was nice to see her with her son, and I knew there was a strong chance most of the women would vote for her if she made it to the finals. I would have liked to see Shannon win for fan favorite because she stated she would be donating the money to her animal charity, and animal welfare is my passion as well. (Especially elephants!)
Did anyone else think Metta’s comment about editing was not entirely favorable, but Julie quickly switched gears?
Omarosa really needs to stop trying to make “Lady O” happen. She never actually dropped any bombshells about Adolph Twitler, even though we were supposed to think she was by the way she would speak barely above a whisper anytime she mentioned him or the White House. It was obviously all just to promote her upcoming “tell-all” book, which will likely be as full of self-serving, sanctimonious crap as she is.
Thank you for all of the recaps and live feed updates, Tamara!
Yeah Ross was robbed which was a bummer b/c as he kept “advancing” it really felt more & more deserved. One standout of the show to me was James! I had kind’ve heard of Big Time Rush, a band with a show or something like that but he socially stood his ground & competed well, was funny & I hope to see him in other shows now. Ari tho was nice but kind’ve boring for tv. For a moment I thought she was going to finally bring it when she found out Brandi voted against the alliance, but that moment ended with hugs & reminders of how much they all love each other.
Disappointed. Marissa did nothing but follow. Ross should have c won but glad he was fan favorite.
Long time lurker and I rarely post here but I love this blog!
Ross deserved to win but oh well…
Did we ever decide what is wrong with Brandi’s face? Why is her mouth paralyzed? Too much Botox? She needs to lay off. That’s awful!!
