I have to say this is the most viewed recap show of anything not on Bravo that I do. Because Shondland Shows are off on Thursday nights for a couple of weeks during the Olympics, I am able to get to this tonight. Which is great because I usually recap when the maids are here and is one of those embarrassing shows that you don’t want people to see you watching. And they don’t speak English so I am just the weird fat lady typing about a show about prisoners. #Awkward

Alan’s cellie Pancho is being released. I think Alan is getting the most out of this experience. He is learning a lot that will translate to his job as a cop. When Alan calls his wife, you can see the dirty head marks against the wall from where they all sit on the floor. It’s so gross. There is a row of dirty hair and a row of the dark clothing rubbing against the wall. He is missing his wife and his really, really, REALLY, cute baby girl. Alan finds out that his daughter is left-handed. He wants to “break her of that” I didn’t think parents did that anymore. I’ve always thought lefties were artistic and cerebral. Why would you want to stop that. I have terrible handwriting and have always thought that maybe I was supposed to be left handed. lol. Really it’s just the anxiety. I’m not artistic at all though I love art. I think out of the all the guys he is getting the most out of this experience.
Alan is so ready for this to be over. He tells Andrew he is envious of his dad for getting out. Andrew says it is a relief not to worry about his dad anymore. he is doing fine. Andrew says he is learning a lot of things he would never know otherwise. And unless he feels like he is in danger he is never tapping out.
Alan gets a new roommate called Dre. He doesn’t seem to be fluent in English, Alan is ready to tap now.

All week I get emails from people making their first comments here about this show. Almost all of them are people looking for places to trash Stephanie. It can get a little harsh, and I honestly think she has psychological problems, but there is no doubt she is showing her ass on national television. Angele gets a good amount of hate comments too, but mostly for her sexual behaviors. I do think she is going a bit too inmate, but who’s to say how any of us would react in that situation. She’s gay and has 30 women throwing themselves at her and nothing else to do to pass the down time.
Jaclin is already remorseful about leaving as she is being processed out. She blames Stephanie’s behavior for her having to tap. Which is partially true. But Angele would have had her back. Stephanie is left behind to watch Swole prance around in her granny panties like she is the Queen of Sheba. We should all have that level of confidence I suppose. I keep trying to kill off enough brain cells to get to that level, but I have been cursed with a very big brain. If birdbrained Stephanie keeps twerking up on Swole, she’s going to get something worse than a beat down.
The girls are planning an epic birthday party for Angele. Replete with strippers, bouncers, and a guest list. One of the strippers has made a see through dress out of the laundry net bags. They are going all out for this. They are making Angele a very strong Whipit. Oh this is good. Because nothing says blowing your cover like being extremely fucked up on drugs. She knows it is a special whipit and her dumbass is going to do it. She must have a drug history. She is giving the producers all the details. The producer asks how they know how much to put in it. They say the more the better. I seriously feel like the producers could be watching Angele die. A lot of the drugs are anti-depressants. You can’t just jump into those. This is not a good idea and they are hard as fuck to get off of. Angele says to production that she doesn’t see anything wrong with taking whipits because she is an inmate. I sort of get the whole, either she is an inmate or she is not thing, but if they were playing Russian Roulette would she say the same thing? That’s her brain she is fucking with.
Angele and Stephanie have the time of their lives at a party.
Okay Fulton County Jail. You look ridiculous right about now. This is embarrassing. You can’t even have a bloody mary at brunch in a fancy restaurant until after noon on Sunday but this us how the jails are?

Matt is dramatically tapping out. He says telling his son goodbye will be the most devastating moment of his entire life. Matt puts all of his stuff under the door that can fit. Andrew is just whatever about it. He’s fine over there.
Johnny is feeling a bit abandoned by Matt. Johnny is the best at just doing his time. He promises to take care of Andrew. We always see Johnny looking out the window. I think I’d spend as much time doing that as I could too. But the women’s unit doesn’t seem to have any windows. That would drive me crazy, I friend of mind sent me a house to consider in the beach town I want to live in It was cinder blocks which is fine and in my price range but there were like five tiny window in the who place. I cannot do that. My ghetto shack has a nine or ten foot window in my tiny living room. A picture window with two large windows that open on either side. It’s the best feature of the house.
Emmanuel is the Stephanie of the men’s jail. He has no focus at all on what he is doing there. He show boats, his mouth gets him in trouble and fights with the officers. The funny or really ridiculous thing is when Emmaunel tries to school the guards face to face rather than waiting to talk to Colonel Mark, “Buchi”is out the window and condescending Emmanuel is in full effect. So he starts telling the guards that they need to honor the inmate request forms. Yet he doesn’t seem to know that a request can be denied. He doesn’t understand the difference between a necessity and a privilege in jail. I have a feeling these two guards are going to teach him that difference. He keeps telling the guards how he has more education than they do. He asks what makes them better than him. The guard says,”Because I’m not in jail” Touché. Then Emmanuel places the race card. Against the three black officers. That’s another thing that makes them better than him. He’s assuming they are less educated than he is. He calls them all ignorant. They slam the cell door in his dumb face. Then he screams that they are an embarrassment to black people and “You’re a fucking cunt!” Wow.

The guard that he disrespected the most wants to talk to him privately. Emmanuel is worried he is going to get the shit beat out of him. The guard that came to get him says they don’t do that here. The black guard and Emmanuel talk about his comment about being arrested for driving while black. The guard says that you don’t get arrested for driving while black. Okay, I live in Georgia. I went to college in Georgia for my undergrad and my graduate degree. I also lived in Florida early in my career, during that time, I spent a lot of time on the highways driving to Atlanta to take care of my parents. It was then I started to notice that every car I saw pulled over by police had a black male driver. Every single one. I’m just saying what I witnessed. So yes, I believe you can get arrested for driving while black.
Johnny is furious that Emmanuel is a cry baby and getting babied by the black guards. That is not what is really going on. Johnny goes up to the guard that talked to Emmanuel and tells him he is doing a good job. This pisses off Emmanuel.

Jaclin’s Exit Interview
They asked her what it was that pushed her to the point of tapping out She said her safety was in danger. She explains the whole thing about trying to protect Stephanie who as being bullied and how the officers went into Stephanie’s cell and stated that Jaclin said she was being bullied. So she had no choice but to leave to protect herself.
She also says that off camera an officer drug her by her shirt and was choking her by her neck into lockdown. She basically said the officers abused her. I wanted her to say that the officers had full knowledge that Swole was threatening her and she did not go to lockdown. I am not sure I fully believe what we did see Jaclin say. She did antagonize the officers which she left out and call the racists if I recall correctly, but she seems to take no responsiblity for her role in the conflict with the officers. On the other hand, the officers should be able to deal with mouthy inmates in a better fashion. The officers she spoke too said they really need to deal with the professionalism of the officers. I mean okay, but this is the least of the problems. I’ve worked in a locked facility before. And the issue that they need to make number one is the drug use. How was the fact they are all cheeking meds and getting high and throwing drug parties every damn day not mentioned?
Jaclin going home was awesome.
Matt’s Release and Outtake
We have all talked about Matt’s greasy hair, but a wise commenter posted that he was probably afraid to shower because that is where all the beat downs happen.
Next week It looks like Alan taps.
I think Angele has shared what she needs s doung in lockup with her prison Bae. That is going to be the big issue. Her face was saying it all in the previews but then she said, what makes you think she doesn’t know.
What do you think?
I think she is cute but she should stay in there for her babe I like to date her but but you got to understand she is immment
Angele fell too fast too hard. I suspect this is her m.o. I bet she’s been through a few love affairs since gabby And I bet she was madly in love with them all for a minute. Allegedly. In my opinion.
Yeah Misti, you’re probably right abt Angele falling hard/fast with all her love interests. They should do an after show, “Where Are they Now”? All participants have Bio’s & it’d be interesting to see how close they are to them.
I can see why this jail needs the show but damn it is Crazy the stuff that is allowed to go on.
Jaclin did indeed experience racism. Stephanie said it best when she said ” Some CO’s don’t like white people.” That is racism and should not be tolerated. No inmate , no matter the skin color, deserves to be abused by a CO. Jaclin never laid her hands on a CO. If a CO can’t handle a smart mouth with out resorting to physical abuse, they are not qualified for the position. Imagine if you will falsely accused of a crime and had to spend time in a jail at the mercy of the CO’s. I commend Jaclin for standing up for Stephanie, when all Stephanie has ever done is use Jaclin in a very sinister way. Stephanie is one of the most frightening Narcissist Sociopaths I have seen on reality TV. As for Angele, who doesn’t love that girl? She is the best! Everyone is drawn to her.
WELL, where to start?? NO, racism by a CO should not be happening. Period. And putting their hands on them should be grounds for firing. The original poster’ touched on it best: if a CO can’t take a smart mouth/talk back inmate, they are in the wrong field! And Stephanie’s true colors will AGAIN show. She is 2-faced, talk behind your back, stab you in the back, instigator. And now that Jaclin is gone, sure enough Swole will get pissed about something, and re-leash that fury at Stephanie! Angele, what to say about her?? Hmm, she told the producer, “How does he KNOW her jail bae Gabby, doesn’t know she’s not a real inmate & actually a plant put in the jail”? Well she should be pulled out & fired from the program!, and that would be very stupid if she did tell Gabby. The real inmate Gabby, could play along w/Angele that it’s all good, OR just act like it is and tell the rest of the real inmates & retaliate against Angele when she least expects it. Now Emmanuel…him getting real loud with the CO’s and talking in his educated real vocabulary, you know DID bring attention to himself from the other inmates that he normally doesn’t talk that way. And yelling at the CO’s abt how they treat inmates is useless! Keep that for when he gets debriefed and talks to the Colonel. He does stupid sh*t that would show he’s a plant in the jail. On Matt, I was waiting to see if in the hotel the first thing he did was jump in the shower & wash that greasy hair!! I guess I have to wait and see when he meets with the Colonel, if his hair gets washed by then..
Nope. Whites are not being Oppressed by PoCs; we do not suffer from racism. This “reverse racism” stuff is one of the most poisonous canards to be resurrected from the late-20thC.
rac·ism

noun
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one’s own race is superior.
That was a shocking episode to watch…did anyone notice when Andrew and Alan were talking off to the side that there was an inmate fairly near to them and I cringed when Andrew said something like “imagine if we had to do time in here for real” I got nervous for him! I thought maybe that would be the cover break. But now I am thinking that Angele is going to get pulled out because she has lost her damn mind. I cannot believe that she so willingly took all those drugs mixed in her drink. You never know how your body will react to that stuff! Scary! And when she made the comment for next week about, how do you know she doesn’t know already, I believe her. Gabrielle probably does know. I wonder if they are dating on the outside now? Stephanie is definitely a sociopath. She is in need of some serious psychiatric help. No joke. I cried when I saw Jaclin reunite with her daughter. As a mother of a girl the same age, I could feel the pain and love thru the tv. Good luck to her 🙂
Emmanuel is the most cringe worthy, embarrassing, drama queen EVER in any part of the men’s jails we have seen on any season. Just embarrassing!!!! He has a very punch-able face!
This season has been a huge disappointment, some of the participants are so far gone and mixed up with the inmates foolishness that it’s ridiculous. Matt was so darn dramatic and it was sad to watch, I commend Andrew for sticking it out and remembering what he was there for. Emmanuel is a lost cause and not everything is a debate or something against black people sir. Stephanie is a disgusting and Karma will sure come back to her in due time. Angele had so much potential in the beginning but quickly lost focus and I’m not surprised that she may be the reason the program comes to an end.
Nate, Alan and Andrew are our only hope it seems. I do have to say though, when I saw Swole shaking in those big panties I wondered if the funk from her behind would knock everyone unconscious.
LOL at the funk behind Swole……
I am so over being at work right now that when I read this about Swole, I burst out laughing!!!! Thanks for that! 🙂 I don’t know if I can ever get the sight of her scary face and big huge undies out of my head 🙁
I forgot about Johnny! He is doing well and can provide some good Intel to the Colonel when this season ends, along w/Nate & Andrew! I’d include Alen too, but last night’s episode left him in a crying jag when his cellmate Poncho left, and his new celly Dre couldn’t seem to do nothing but mumble..
We always love when someone’s first comment proves they haven’t read the commenting rules and the second one is to tell Americans what it is like in our country based on spaghetti western movies and the Hallmark Channel.
Welcome to the group.
GUFFAW! Exactly what I was thinking! 🙄
Just seems like jail should be harder. I mean what’s the point?
Yes, jail should be harder. Otherwise it’s not a deterrent to criminals.
They must all know by now with all of the strange stuff going on. Plus, the officers probably have seen the show on tv even if the inmates haven’t.
Interesting comments, dull unconvincing season with strange participants.
I agree with who wrote Angele should be pulled out. I don’t understand the jails liability policy allowing inmates to use drugs. Yes allowing, they only need to ask the camera crew. Guards know what’s going on.
The shows visual focus is on a limited area of jail, a cell or two and the open area. It’s seems to focus on the social interactions without anything else.
There is no way that amount of craziness is going on in the women’s section of the jail without the guards knowing about (and probably even facilitating some of) it. They were running a full on titty bar with a live sex show for Angelle’s and none of the staff notices? Really? And I vote her as most likely to end up doing time for real. If she’s really told her jail boo about being a plant, she’s just put everyone else’s life in danger because how long will it be until that news spreads through the jail like a fire?
I wonder if Stefanie is that much of a psychopath before this experiment or did this just trigger something that was inside of her all along? If Jaclin had gotten knifed, I don’t think she would have done a damn thing to help her. Speaking of which, am I the only one who think that the real reason Jaclin left was because she was homesick and not because of any noble goal of protecting the women who promised to have her back. She has 0 preservation instinct and was scared to death because she knew she was in over her head from the beginning.
I love how it took all that time for Matt to say that maybe he was the one who needed toughening up. Do you think? His son seems to be handling jail better than most without losing who he is. He’s not being mouthy or aggressive and when he got the word that people thought he was gay, he immediately began butching up just enough to stay out of trouble. And oh yeah, Buchi is the most likely to take a knife to he gut. He seems to be making everyone hate him.
It seems as though everyone this season is like Crazy Robert from Season 1.
I think that Jaclin’s mistake was to take the position of thinking that all rules in jail are some kind of abuse. Things like that made her a pariah and I think that I would have wanted to stay away from her just like Stephanie did in the beginning. She was just trouble. She seemed to want to take a stand up for the inmates to make their lives happier. Personally, I don’t think that rules are bad in a situation like this. You have to be able to have some control in order to keep them and the physical jail itself relatively safe. I can imagine that some time in the past, they would have been in much worse conditions.
If you really think about it, there has to be a learning curve for anyone thrown into this kind of situation, if it’s really all new to them. I think ‘it was just newer to Jaclin than the other two participants with her.
As far as the drug use… I’m honestly torn. I definitely don’t think that the 7 participants should use them, though I don’t know that I, personally, would be willing to put a target on my back by NOT doing it. I wouldn’t judge the real inmates for wanting some relief. They’re someone’s prescriptions. Someone has a right to have it in jail.
Oh yah…, And I don’t think it matters if Jaclin was homesick. She WAS right about being morally responsible if some women fought for her over a contrived situation, and then they were hurt by it. I think ‘she made the right decision.
And, while I’m at it, I’ll mention that I think that Matt was correct to leave, also. It was the only way that he could make the big mess that he made (with his son and his attitude) not get worse.
I think the only scenario concerning Angele that would allow me to forgive the show was if her jail girlfriend was planted by them ahead of time and they both were just putting on a show for ratings.
The inmate in the picture that you have identified as Matt… you know that isn’t Matt, right?
And about Matt… he needs some serious pyschiatrist help. He is delusional, about the “danger” that his son is in (non-existent) and his position in the pod (pod King? Really?) First he obsessed over Lawrence in a weird, inappropriate way. Then, when Lawrence was gone, he switched his weird obsessive.behavior over to Tebow. Not normal, dude, not normal. I can’t wait to see if he washes his hair when he gets out.
The show really showed me that the guards are not doing there jobs. Personally I did 2 years in the Harris County JAIL and 16 months in TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE and never once had to experience the things in the Fulton jail. I feel bad that jacky had to be mistreated by the people that was suppose to protect her. The guards was nonchslant when she brought it to there attention along with snatching her out the cell and ripping her nails off, and roughing her up that’s abuse she is a professional individual and for that to go on is unexceptionable. With these guards having the profession the have that should never happen regardless of the crime , race, or anything for that matter. Those guards laughed at joke and thought it was funny when Swole didn’t them she was gonna eat Jackie they should’ve put Swole in another tank dorm she should have been written up and went to a disciplinary hearing and rolled back the cameras! My first time ever going to jail ever and for something I didn’t do I accepted it wrong place at the wrong time but it’s a sad day in life when yu go to jail and get treated like yu a piece of dirt SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS IT HURT MY HEART I EVEN CRYED WHEN THOSE GUARDS SLAMMED HER IN THEM CONCRE WALLS DRAGGING HER TLKN TO HER AS IF THEY ARE BETTER THEN HER NOT KNOWING SHE HAS A CAREER SHE DIDNT DESERVE THIS TREATMENT SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE!
