Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: The Big Apple Bites

February 20, 2018 by tamaratattles 126 Comments

With Kyle mentioning Palihouse or whatever in her blog and the show giving it shots over three seasons for one stupid scene, production must have paid them a shit ton for advertising. Can my friends in LA tell me if it is a great restaurant or a place you have never heard of?

Dorit

We start with Dorit and LVP walking down the street on a dismal NYC day. LVP is as always dressed for a board meeting and Dorit who is about to be on the cover of some magazine no one has ever heard of for her “designs” and such is in ripped sweatpants.  These women never seem to look like they are dressed for the same shoot. Hilariously production has Dorit talking about how she embodies what the magazine represents while walking in the rain in tattered sweats that would  be underdressed at Wal*Mart.

Kyle, Teddi and Camille all look fabulous as they luncheon. Kyle tells Teddi that it is bad luck to put your purse on the floor. Fuck. I sometimes do that at home. Teddi fills Kyle in on all the stuff from the end of the last episode.  Because, bone carrier. I still love her though. Teddi is fab doncha think?

I hate how production stages things SOFA KING HARD. Teddi says if it were here she would tell LVP what she said right away. Cut to Dorit telling LVP right away and another plug for Palihouse. For the love of God the ads are so distracting at this point.  And the scripted shit is BEYOND. At any rate Dorit tells LVP what she said to the girls. Sort of. But not really.

I love NYC.  I could never live to the style to which I am accustomed there but I may have to just live there for a month at some point. The yellow cabs outside my hotel window make me happy as fuck. Broadway shows. Yes. I must spend a month in the city. And my imaginary gay husband is there so we could meet and he would be terribly disappointed in me in person. I am officially putting this on my bucket list of things to do once Banjo dies. My Lord aggressive dogs are a huge commitment.

Erika

I love Erika but I don’t care about this publishers meeting.  Perhaps it is jealousy.  I hate what Simon & Schuster has become. The published Teresa Giudice.

Dorit’s Thing

I hate her. PAY KAY calls and I hate him more. Apparently, Rinna’s kids were robbed of whatever was delivered from the stupid store.  Is Erika really going as baby doll hooker. Kyle and LVP talk about Dorit. Kyle says that Dorit didn’t tell her what she really said. Dorit said that LVP said she was needy and attention seeking. At the party everyone is planning to come for Dorit.

I am feeling like Teddi about now. She seems bored with it all. Me too!  It’s a magazine no one has ever heard of and they are acting like it is the second coming of Christ. Dorit thinks it is something spectacular.  I am disappointed by Erika’s Glam Squad.

Jesus Christ how many times can they publicize on restaurant? They say it every other word!

Kyle calls out Dorit for singling her out about Erika on the trip.  Erika says it is all good. But Kyle is pissed at Dorit.  Kyle says that Dorit keeps going after Kyle and LVP.

Jesus Christ, the restaurant keeps being brought up. How much did they pay production! Dorit is a cunt saying bring it all down I am not one of your accountability clients. LVP s staying out of it. And Erika is on the wrong side of the argument.

LVP decides to side with Dorit? WTF? Somehow they all get on the same production bus. Kyle wants nothing to do with LVP.  Dorit is a piece of shit.

Next Week: With front-row seats to New York Fashion Week, Dorit tries to get back into Lisa Vanderpump’s good graces; Kyle wants an apology from Lisa; Lisa Rinna’s daughter feels homesick; Teddi persuades Lisa Vanderpump to do the unthinkable.

I’m in shock Kyle is crying because LVP values Dorit friendship over hers. Really!

IMHO, LVP has always been a *itch and enjoys playing people against each other for her own enjoyment; I’m guessing that’s her definition of – “I love you!.” 🙄

It’ll be interesting to see if she offers Kyle an apology next week. 🤷 These women need to grow TF Up.

        last episode lol

she apologized to kyle at the beach. Pretty sure she just said it to smooth things over, but she said it.

Wonder how LVP feels now that she’s seen what Dorit actually said and how it’s ZERO like what she told her lol

I think Kyle is more upset abou the double standard applied to her, LVP does expect more of her and is more harsh with her. Then Kyle sticks her neck out to stand up for both of them and not a peep out of LVP, then by all means offers to usher Dorit home to the hotel. I would be pissed, too.

I too would be pissed. I tend to agree with most of Teddy’s reading of it; LVP did not know what to make of the newer version of events, and doesn’t want to believe Dorit would be so hurtful and cruel. None of the others want to either disagree with/poke at LVP, nor did they feel like warfare at that hour of the night.

          But
          1) Dorit deserved anything and everything she should have gotten,2) it was not ” her night” in an important way. This was nonsense, and her outfit was too. Her betrayal of friends was so serious that Dorit threw her friends away and deserved to feel the effects of that, no matter what night it was . Kyle does have a longer closer relationship with LVP and for all its ups and downs, deserved to feel as strongly as she did, even if it is production driven. They have worked together that many years. .

Sorry, I am tired of Dorit, her ego and its needs . Noone deserved to go home alone , but Dorit, last night. She deserved whatever she got and I hope the hammer falls on her next week. Enough already.

As for tonights episode of RHOBH,
My family and I have lived in beverly hills for over 5 years and have never once been to PALIHOUSE.
Production definitely plugged them because i seriously doubt these women would be eating at a place with a three star yelp review and receiving a B health grade in 2016.

I have noticed production staging shit all season even down to Stassis fake event planning at guiermos birthday party. she was complaining the whole entire time about how far away everything is and how challenging it is to plan everything WHEN IN ACTUALITY every single venue that she picked stuff up from IS WALKING DISTANCE FROM SUR all on santa monica blvd in west hollywood.

So Dorit wore sweats that the washing machine ate and a homeless person discarded and yet is a fashion designer? I’m sure whoever sold them charged a bundle for the tattered junkie style but WTF! I never thought I’d see Kyle this needy of attention, I’m missing something because I just don’t get it. Prediction- there may or may not be something wrong at Casa Mauricio wink wink. Just saying. Little construction birds do talk.
Palihouse is amazing but it’s kinda out of their normal purview. I’m so done with this show, if this is it, battle of the old network stars friendships, I’m out and will enjoy the recaps.

I don’t think it was about attention at all-on Kyle’s end. It was about years of Kyle jumping through hoops for LVP; a very high maintenance friend. Now along comes this twittering annoying bird (Dorit) who can’t keep her mouth shut, throws everyone under the bus, including LVP. Kyle speaks up and defends herself and Lisa and not only is Lisa suddenly rendered catatonic; she is clearly unappreciative but then she elects to take Dorit home after her dramatic exit. Bull Shit. There was nagging me about LVP-I think she liked sitting back and being defended. She always acts out of some reason.
The two people who need attention are LVP and Dorit.

That wouldn’t surprise me at all. Kyle was really pissed at her a few seasons ago, when LVP alluded to the Mauricio cheating rumors on camera and in front of Portia. Then a year or two later, Kyle abruptly forgave LVP and said that life was better when they got along. I always assumed that, for the sake of the show, Kyle just sucked it up. It’s the same vibe I got when Tamra and Vicky abruptly hugged it out at the OC reunion. Just for the cameras and to make Bravo happy. LVP is a manipulative snake.

LVP made a joke that many considered inappropriate, but I get her humor. She was NOT alluding to him cheating. It was poking fun at the gossip mongers saying he and his daughter are all dressed up and out to enjoy some time and the mongers might report he’s out with another woman. And that was soon followed by her “one NEVER KNOWs” what goes on — because we are not a fly on the wall or invisible — repartee with Ken who staunchly defends Mauricio saying “*I* know, having complete faith in his friend. For that, and the dogs, I love Ken.

Every single time Dorit speaks and has exaggerated facial expressions I want to throat punch her. Dorit is a cunt and loves to stir the shit, I think the bitch should also lick the spoon. LVP is so manipulative and her little toy is running away from her and acting on her own, what ever will she do? And since finding out that LVP and Rinna are just about the same age I keep being stunned. Rinna looks so much better, her skin and style isn’t that if a stuffy old lady. I love Teddi, I love she holds her own and is all about being accountable for actions and behaviors. She is refreshing. I also love Camille and how she is trying to stay out of it. I also noticed when Dorit and LVP were in the park with the umbrellas Dorit’s “accent” was coming and going. It was funny, I actually prefer that to her pretend manner of speech. I still love Erika.

As I remember Kyle really instigated the Yo and Munchausen story with Rinna. Brandi was the one who started the Mo affair rumors and Yo and Carlton admitted Lisa didn’t bring any magazines. Adrienne apologized for saying Lisa sold stories. Brandi’s behavior speaks for itself, disgusting pig.

I really like Kyle and Teddi together. I’m also very surprised that Erika seems to be getting along with Dorit but not Teddi, which is why I think she’s playing Dorit.

Kyle is too nice and bends too easily so LVP takes advantage of that. I do like both of them and enjoy their friendship, though. Dorit MUST have something on LVP for her to not have completely annihilated Dorit by now.

Is PK well connected? Otherwise I will never understand why Erika and LVP give Dorit the time of day.

Palihouse is a hotel/restaurant in West Hollywood. Pretty close to Barney’s Beanery. It’s “cool” if you know what I mean. The rooms are nice but, nothing special. The hotel is an open square on the inside with open fenced walkways instead of enclosed hallways. The restaurant is in the center of the square on the first floor. It can get very loud when it turns into a bar late at night and bugs the guests. Conversely anyone walking to a room can watch you eat. And you can see and hear people coming and going from their rooms. It’s an odd setup. They have a nice rooftop bar and pool. And a second smaller bar on a lower level. It’s ok but, totally not overly exciting. Especially with so many great hotels and restaurants here where you don’t have to dinner theater.

I’m kidding of course; she is obviously insecure and over compensating, but it has all gone too far when she is lying abut and criticizing people she aspires to have as friends. Why LVP walked away. Plus it was Dorit’s night and thought it was in bad taste for Kyle to bring up the stupid beach fight. If Kyle doesn’t look like Pollyanna she gets all into her feelings and drinks too much apparently.

As far as I recall, LVP has never had a problem initiating a blow up or confronting someone at an event. I find her relationship with Dorit very strange. It’s hard to see what she find appealing; Dorit is an insipid twit. Lisa is obviously very calculating and we’ve seen her latch on to the new girl in season’s past (Brandi, Rinna) and use them for her own purposes. Dorit is just a pawn. I’m curious to see how this seasons chess game pans out.

I like Kyle and I’d be pissed at the LVP too, she’s playing Dorit and Kyle off each other, enjoying watching their interactions, while sitting there silently as if butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth. Kyle’s hung in there a long time with LVP. It’s not cool. (it’s uncool)

Lisa Rinna shouting “what’s the issue?” repeatedly in the restaurant is how I feel about the episode. Simple solution: throw a bag of coke in the corner, and whilst Dorit’s going full Gollum, doing lines of “my precioussss” let the adults have a less childish conversation. On a side note, LVP stands zero chance going head-to-head with Bethenny or the majority of the RHONY ladies for that matter. Sorry love 💋 xo

LVP is not afraid of confrontation with her employees on VPR. She just can’t face an equal. She has been running away all season, including by saying she’d leave with Dorit in a cab (to avoid Kyle). IDK if she is simply pathetic or evil.

Erika, by saying everything was ok, was undermining Kyle too. I guess she’s Dorit’s wingman.

Kyle was crying with fury. Not hurt feelings.

Dorit is the ultimate narcissist. As soon as anyone remotely criticizes her, she blows up and gaslights. She won’t shut up until she has bulldozed everyone into silence (good going Teddi for not allowing it). Can’t stand her — the throat punch urge hits me too. I wonder if she’ll ever get her comeuppance, at the reunion, after people see what she’s said and done. Unfortunately, people like her seem to skate.

Yes on Dorit gaslighting. When Camille said she was a tattle tale, Dorit said “What are we, 12 years old?” which is what applies to HER as the tattle tale.

When on the yacht Dorit confronted Teddi about the glassware yet again, she said “For heaven’s sake, it’s just a glass!” which, again, is what one should say to HER for going on about it.

Add in Dorit screaming at Teddi “You are a psycho!” for no reason I could see. Dorit screaming it made HER the psycho.

Yes on everything you said! Dorit is such a nonthreat to these big egos and that must be why they end up dismissing her arguments and gossip and let it go. She’s just a hanger-on minion for them and therein lies her value to LVP and Kyle. I like Kyle a lot but her choice of friends has always left me wondering: Taylor, Faye, and Dorit. They aren’t the quality of people I would choose to surround myself with.

Team Kyle on this one. I am bit surprised that both LVP and Erika appear to be on Dorit’s side with this. They are both very smart women so there must be an angle they’re looking to play otherwise right now both Erika and LVP are making the least sense to me.

I like Teddi more and more each episode. She seems to be smarter about this Housewife game than she lets on.

Next week’s match up of Bethenny vs LVP should be entertaining. I wish the Housewives would do more cross overs.

I loved it that Tedi supported Kyle, and it was understandable why Kyle was crying. She was confronting Dorit on her BS (didn’t Dorit say she was going to be there for Kyle like her own mother – which also caused Kyle to cry?), and LVP did not have Kyle’s back. LVP left Kyle out there on that limb alone with Dorit sawing away. Kyle was fighting for truth and reality in the middle of a bunch of gaslighting *itches. And with how marginalized Kyle feels by the women in her own family – this must really hurt. LVP seems to be playing Picay in a big way. And what is Dorit playing at? She is allegedly a middle class pharmacist’s daughter from Connecticut. But she seems to be trying to be some new kind of transatlantic royalty, with a new kind of accent, royal dishes, ladies in waiting, and the schtick of ever changing hair. She reminds me of Gertrude McFuzz from Doctor Seuss. Looks like her too. I hope Bethenny comes to Kyle’s defense next week. I would LOVE to see Bethenny have a go at Dorit. Now that would be interesting.

Kyle was very drunk. Lisa wanted to sort out she was said by Kyle and Dorit and didn’t want to deal with drunk Kyle. Teddi had no business telling Lisa to go back to Kyle and talk when she already did.

I don’t blame Kyle’s sisters for being upset with her. Why drudge up painful memories again even though her show appears to be squeaky clean but gossip will start all over again on family problems. Kyle you have enough money, don’t you think? How about staying home and raising Porsha.

I always liked the character enough but now knowing Rinna in a different light it seems so different. Is she way too old for the part? Is she a really bad actress? Nothing seems right. Seems much more like a cameo thing than an actual actress reprises a role. 1 thing is for sure, her lips are way too big for soap camera angles. It’s really all you see.

I know i am the minority here but i think all the ladies were wasted, especially Kyle and so based on that it was wise of LVP not to engage in any confrontation with Dorit. When you value ones friendship (whether its friendship with PK or Dorit) you try not to have a discussion with the person on what she has done wrong or what she has said about you while drunk…its a recipe for disaster.
Furthermore, i think although LVP felt wronged by Dorit, she knew it was her night, she know the girl was excited about making the cover of a magazine and chose not to shit on her parade on that day.
Now i get Kyle being mad that she didnt feel supported but shit cant always go your way and she shouldnt have dragged LVP into it if she didnt want to. She should have just stuck to her issues with Dorit, handle it with her without looking for reinforcement from others and let LVP handle hers.
Each friendship is different and no one asked Kyle to be a mouth piece and so i feel it was weird of her to get so emotional about something like that and expect others to pile on Dorit on her behalf

Completely agree. Confused as to why everyone is blaming LVP when she told Kyle that she would not engage in the situation that night. Kyle felt so strongly she did it anyway, if you are that angry than stand by your convictions and stop blaming others for not having your back. If your mad that LVP didn’t have your back I would be more angry at Camille (who has so much to say about Dorits behavior) and Teddi for not calling out Dorit. Teddi did to some extent but was weak on her delivery. Not everything is LVP’s fault or manipulation. Perhaps she wanted to get in the cab with Dorit to confront her privately.

She isn’t pandering to Kyle’s crying BECAUSE they have been friends for a decade and Kyle should feel secure about that! She holds Kyle to a higher standard because she expects and thinks more of her. I like Kyle but my goodness it would be exhausting to be friends with her. I have to comment on the purse on the floor thing. I heard that my entire life. I always thought it was a southern thing because my mom, my grandma, and my great grandma all passed down that same superstition and we are as southern as they come. We were taught that putting your purse on the floor was disrespectful to your finances. We were also taught that putting your purse on the bed meant that you showed lazy intent towards your finances. I know it’s weird, but both superstitions are so ingrained in me that I have an immediate reaction when my husband goes to move my purse and wants to put it on the floor or the bed. It was kind of fun to know that it wasn’t a regional thing.

I lived in Dallas for 30+ years and always heard that in Mexican restaurants. Mexican waitstaff always suggested I move my purse from the floor to an extra chair.

Maybe it’s a southern thing too, but nobody else in Dallas pointed it out to me. They may have quietly disapproved for all I know, but in people’s homes and other kinds of restaurants nobody said anything about me putting my purse on the floor. I carry big purses and felt if was out of the way on the floor.

Dorit is terrible! She way overstated Kyle’s remarks about Erika at the beach house–on this most recent episode, she said Kyle was very, very, very upset, which wasn’t true at all. Then in Central Park she totally misrepresented what she had said about LVP. I hope Lisa drops her after she sees the show and sees what Dorit really did and said. I wish Kyle could have expressed more clearly to LVP why she was upset with her, instead of just saying, “Leave me alone.” But clearly Dorit is the trouble-maker/liar here, not the other two.

But mainly, what petty things they end up arguing about! Makes the show no fun! Drop pot-stirrer Dorit–she ruins everything. How can she be so blind about her own behavior?

Add Rinna’s spoiled ,snotty ,unattractive daughters and it adds another dimension to my reaction to her – they need to go back to school, get an education and learn to mature, and develop/grow their brains not their egos.

Rinna is doing them no favors- nor has she to date- and the “modeling daughter show” appears to be a function of BH competition, nothing else. Fun in the short run and the mothers apparently believe it to be a reflection of their looks and “power ” ,I guess, but it is none of the above. Each mother putting daughters into that quagmire is hurting their girls, for their personal glorification, it seems to me. Even Yolanda, whose daughters have succeeded far more than anyone could have hoped, failed when taking it further- all for her own gratification. They should each see that by now.

I keep asking: Are they just as insecure as a 13-year-old or have they just lived in that rarified air for so long they have to CREATE problems? That stupid “proper glass” shite was an example of EXTREME insecurity. A secure person does not need to make others feel smaller or “less than” so they can feel “above.” ALL of these RL shows have this petty jealousy you write about. MEMO TO RHs: It IS possible to have more than one friend — if one is an emotional adult. Oh, yeah, IF …

I would like to rename this episode WWMD — What Would Mauricio Do! And I think Kyle should keep that in mind in real life and on “reality” tv. Mauricio has made a very nice life for his family by working hard and establishing healthy boundaries — he is no pushover but he knows when to schmooze and when to remain quiet and circumspect. As much as I do not like Dorit, it WAS HER NIGHT. There were other people there who wanted to enjoy the night and if it were so danged important to Kyle to be “authentic” or whatever, then she should have gone back to her room to drink — in private — and aired her concerns another time. When did it become OK for grown woman to act like grade-schoolers? “Buffy said this and Muffy said that and Chip chimed in and then Biff said…” ad nauseum. Their perspective on what is important to tell another person and when to STFU is skewed. Perhaps they need to spend time “down here” with many of us working our asses off just to pay rent and eat healthful food. One last caveat to Kyle (who I do like), ALWAYS, ALWAYS give it to Dorit. Remember, you have Mauricio to go home to. Dorit … does not. Need I say more? Case closed.

Um no..Dorit came to Kyle’s house and made an ass out of herself. Then Dorit came to dinner w LVP and Kyle and made an ass of herself and then Dorit ruined Teddi’s weekend by once again making an ass out of herself. Kyle had every right to come into Dorit’s event and speak her mind…had Dorit just shut up and listened then her night would’ve been better by working things out but she is incapable of seeing things from other people’s point of view.

Exactly Brianna! It amazes me the very short memories a lot of viewers have.
Dorit couldn’t even let her own husband has “His Night” on his birthday! Dorit had to get in Teddi’s face at the party. Honestly, all of the women should have acted out at this stupid cover party.
