It looks like we are going to have another Big Brother marriage! Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf were on a hike on Runyon Canyon Park’s hiking trail in L.A. and when they got to the top, Cody pulled out a ring and proposed. Jessica said yes and cried a lot.
The couple is on the current episode of the Amazing Race and the show is almost to the finale and they are still in it! As it turns out, they are fantastic on the show and have been frontrunners for the entire season. They went through on a bit of a scare this week after they were U-turned on a previous episode but they fought their way back to the top.
So they might be getting ready to plan a million dollar wedding! The couple got along extremely well on the show. Jessica was gushing about his abilities the entire race. Both of them were fearless in competition with no fear of heights or hard work. On the last episode, Jessica had to have live scorpions places on her t-shirt while Cody had to eat a quantity of live scorpions. This was the most fear Jessica showed the entire season but she pushed through it as Cody chomped down the scorpions as quickly as possible with no complaints. I’ve watched The Amazing Race since it begins and all of the partners no matter the relationship have spats along the way. I don’t recall a single one from this duo. Even when they were in danger of being eliminated, they had positive attitudes the entire time and continued to work together. Cody got a bit frustrated when they got terribly lost at one point and could not find the challenge but they never bickered and eventually passed other players in the game after coming from behind.
This is all completely the opposite of how they were in the Big Brother House. The couple was pretty much hated by all the viewers and Cody would go rogue and do things without Jessica’s agreement landing them both in peril in the game.
I have to admit, I rooting for them on TAR. The reason I don’t recap this show is because there are always sites who know the winner. So if you should happen to know who wins this season, please do not spoil me! Thanks!
Cody won fan favorite and $25,000. He was not hated by viewers just the fellow houseguests.
I didn’t like Cody or Jess….the whole BB19 was stinkin
I really like Cody and Jessica on Big Brother. Paul and Josh were horrid, so was the woman with all the illnesses and her “boyfriend”. I hope Jody wins the Race. I wish them well. That would be 4 weddings for Big Brother. At least I believe Dani Donata and the tall, dark and handsome guy that was homeschooled on her last appearance got married a few years ago.
Dani posted yesterday she was having a baby, her and Dominic have been married for a while.
I guess you read my mind because while you were writing this (I assume), I was commenting on the last CBB recap wondering about recaps for AR. I know I remember you talking about the goat yoga pair and the basketball twins, but I guess this tells me why I haven’t seen any since. I am in total agreement about the difference in personalities of Jessica and Cody from BB to AR. Although there are flashes of BB Jessica here and there, Cody is completely calm and patient and kind it seems, and Jessica is also very complimentary of him. I was fully prepared to watch them crash and burn on AR (because I’m a judgmental asshole), but as much as I hate to say it, they’ve kind of won me over. My cold little black heart was genuinely happy for them when I saw that they were engaged. I’m fully invested in them winning the race now, I’m so tempted to skip ahead on the snitch sites and find out who won, but I have thus far kept my integrity.
LOL, Andy–you were talking about this on the CBB post almost simultaneously with the breaking engagement news! I’m still shocked at how I strongly I disliked them on BB (so much so that I hoped they would bomb on all fronts), then found myself pulling for them on AR, against my will, so to speak. Cody has a very calming effect on Jessica, and vice versa.
I was reading this thinking..gosh I didn’t care for them on big brother. Am I remembering right? Then got to the last part. They were just kind of blah on BB. Beautiful couple. Nice to hear it sounds like they have a great relationship. I guess some tv romances do work. Super cool they are on Amazing Race together. They were both super at the athletic stuff and worked out non stop on BB so I can see it happening.
Jen, I wish I could say I simply “didn’t care for them,” too, but Big Brother usually brings out over the top emotions with me. I’m a bit too invested to put it mildly. I get completely drawn in with live feeds, BB-After Dark and TT’s recaps.
Don’t watch BB so didn’t know them when AR started. They have come a long way and are doing well but I don’t agree with how well she is doing. I see her as conniving, whiney, mean spirited, and a coat-trailer. He has to do most of the challenges because she is too busy saying eww. She is so silly about having to touch anything not in her comfort zone. Like the camel, or the frogs. She has proposed to work with other teams only to get the answer and then leave them standing. If you haven’t figured it out yet I guess I just don’t like her. He seems like a great guy and I wish them a happy marriage. JMO.
You are right about all of those things. I think that those of us who watched her on Big Brother are seeing a dramatic improvement in personality. 🙂
That is so true re: Jessica. She was so ridiculously mean-spirited on BB that this version of her is skewing my objectivity, plus I guess I’m really just pulling for Cody.
