I hate that there is only one thirty minute show tonight. That is generally not enough to necessitate a recap. But I will make this quick post for discussion purposes.
We start at Ann Sacks where Bethenny and Fredrik will get free bathroom fixtures and bathtubs. This doesn’t stop Bethenny from asking for the designer discount. Then they look at a six thousand dollar bathtub.
Bethenny goes to do a yoga workout with her ex husband Jason. Not really. But this guy looks a LOT like Jason. How does Bethenny not see that? She tells Dan, the look-alike, about a Page Six story about her latest date. I am 100% certain Bethenny’s people leak her dates to the press. And her bikini walks at the beach.
Bethenny’s driver, Kevin, seems like the nicest guy in the world. Bethenny and Fredrik go to a bad part of town to see a very small two bedroom apartment. It’s $849,000. It’s not a nice apartment. Next they head to another place in a nicer part of the East Village. It is a teensy tiny bit larger than the other two bed, two bath and it is twice as much as the last place at $1.6 million. And it is God awful. One of the bedrooms has no closet. It’s ridiculous.
Fredrik invites the older real estate lady to go get a burger with them. Then Bethenny makes him uninvite her. The point is that Fredrik picked two lemons. This gives them something to argue about. I can’t believe Fredrik even agreed to walk through these apartments. He probably burned all of his clothes afterward.
Fredrik and Derek are going to Africa so they shop for … suits? Because suits are what you wear in Africa. This show is ridiculous. Plus when you are going to Africa, you don’t say you are going to Africa you say you are going to Kenya, or South Africa or Morocco or wherever you are going. Or God forbid you say you are going to Nairobi, or Capetown, or Casablanca or wherever.
Bethenny finds a lovely bathtub for $1,000. Bethenny calls Fredrik to say she needs more properties to look at. Also, he is going to on too many trips. Bethenny is supposed to be the designer and he is supposed to find the properties. Now he is going out of the country for 8 days.
Later they argue some more on the streets of NYC. It’s silly. Unless there is some great objection, I’m going to watch this show, but not recap it. It’s very scripted and really is only something to watch for the New York City scenes.
Next Week: Bethenny goes to look at listings with Fredrik’s assistant. This doesn’t go well for anyone.
