Eddie Judge is had a cardiac ablation procedure yesterday in an attempt to correct his atrial fibrillation. Unfortunately, my family has a lot of experience with atrial fibrillation and my mother died from a stroke caused by atrial fibrillation despite having a pacemaker to suppress it. It’s not a minor thing.
Eddie underwent the procedure yesterday with Tamra by his side. This is not usually the first line of treatment, but is typically used after oral medications prove ineffective. In the procedure a catheter is inserted in the groin area and wiggled up to the heart (to use the technical term) where small areas of the heart that appear to be causing the irregular heartbeat are burned in an attempt to stop the fibrillation. There are risks that the catheter can nick something along the path or too large an area is ablated. This can cause a heart attack or stroke during the surgery. Most of the time the surgery goes fine and you can go home on the same day. Sometimes the surgery has to be repeated in the future if the fibrillation returns. If any of my readers are heart surgeons, please excuse my clumsy description of the surgery.
Tamra posted on Instagram on the way to the hospital, as one does. ” Getting his ticker ❤️ fixed ….please say a prayer for @eddiejudge. On the drive to hospital he said “ I just want to ride my bike again”. You’re almost there baby ?? Dr. Lee will get your heart back to normal in no time. #cardioablation #AFIB”
It appears that the operation was a success as Tamra posted after the surgery that he was back in sinus rhythm (normal heart rate).
Here is hoping for a speedy and trouble-free recovery.
Tamra sincerely, condolences for your loss of your parent. I didn’t realize this was serious. I just thought they ran some tests and sent him home.
Wow, that is scary shit. Glad it was a success.
I’m not a doctor but my FIL had the ablation done last year and it didn’t work, unfortunately. He is actually in the hospital recovering now from another procedure to correct the AFIB, and if this does not work the next step is a pacemaker. So sorry about your family history, TT.
Maybe since we’ve never taken selfies. My hubs, nor I would be taking or thinking about taking pics with him in a hospital gown, eyes closed, laying his head on mine.
Guess I am just old.
I’m truly happy he’s well, I just can’t get past these hospital selfies. It seems too private to share with strangers. Save it for his first bike ride after surgery, that would be nice to see.
I agree Cheryl B. All made up and smiling. Poor Eddie, I’ll keep him in my prayers. Imo Tamara doesn’t care anymore for him than she has anyone else. It’s always all about her fake self.
That was my first thought! It would never occur to me to take a pic or especially to post it on SM.
It’s such a very personal time. To each his own.
I certainly wish Eddie the best. I’m sure this was a very frightening experience for both of them.
I’m very sorry about your mother TT. That must have been a horrible experience for you and your family.
I’m probably the only life long Tamra fan, prayers for the family and so sorry TT. Life is hard, death is harder.
my son had superventricular tachycardia when he was little, and it was controlled with meds until he was 13 then he had the ablation, same thing you just described. It was the longest day of my life, but so thankfully cured him. Hope things turn out well, it is not a big deal, but it is, you know?
My MIL has an abnormal heart rhythm. Twenty years ago she had two doctor consults, one recommended a cardiac ablation and the other a pacemaker. My FIL decided she would have neither (yes, I know). At the time it created a lot of friction within the family. Now, twenty plus years later, she is still putzing along just fine and takes no daily medications. She is in her early 90’s.
FIL was smart 70s is a bit old for either surgery.
I had afib. The ablation procedure was not pleasant. You’re semi awake and can feel the burn in your heart. I was terrified and began freaking out. To make matters worse prior to the procedure, I was laying naked with my gown open and the 3 make techs/nurses went about their business ignorIng me. Worst hospital experience of my life. I think had a female or gay man been in the room, they would’ve covered me until it began and comforted me through it. I’m fine now.
I, too, don’t get the selfie at the hospital but then again it’s fame seeking Tamra Judge.
Tamra is used to putting her every event on social media. She can’t help herself; why would this be any different? That said, I hope Eddie’s going to be ok. I think he’s good for hot mess self.
wtf – TODDY
Hmm? Is he not good for his wife, Tamra Judge? Did I misspeak in calling Tamra Judge a hot mess? Mmkay.
