Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Petty Mess

February 6, 2018 by tamaratattles 102 Comments

We start with PK telling Dorit that Boy George loves to sing with people who can’t sing, it’s like hanging around with a super, super fat person, you feel slim. I can’t with these two. I am going to refresh my tea.

John’s do boy at the fancy dog store arrives with a sack full of designer dogs that just happen to need rescuing. Then he randomly has information that their lawsuit has been dismissed. How would the Vanderpump Dogs employee be the first to hear this information? Lisa and Ken act shocked. Certainly, there was no pay off involved to get Ken out of being accused of assault! Why would you guys think that? The suit was just magically dismissed and they are surprised and have no idea how it happened! Don’t be so cynical! The guy delivering the news says dismissed, but LVP knows that it was dropped. That is a big difference the judge would dismiss a case with no merit. That did not happen. The plaintiffs dropped the case. Often times that happens when they are incentivized to do so. LVP says she was just being sued because she is a public figure. She’s said that before. And lost. The Fifi and Romeo suit is still open as far as I know.

Lisa is going back to Days as Billie who will be some sort of FBI agent. I don’t think this has happened yet. Soaps film literally months and months in advance. I love Rinna on DOOL and have watched her for years. Erika wants to be on Y & R again. Rinna is going to miss the beach trip to Teddi’s “cottage.” Crap, she only has five episodes on Days.

More #Lategate Dorit is over a half an hour late for lunch with LVP. Kyle is also late. Dorit tells Kyle that she is pissed that Kyle chimed in to support Teddi about #glassgate. I cannot keep recapping this stupidity. Kyle is pissed now. She gets emotional because LVP and Dorit are ganging up on her. LVP storms out at lunch. Apparently, she is pissed that they didn’t react to her court news in the way she hoped and the focus was not on her good news. She shouts as the car is pulling away that she is going home to be with her husband because he actually wants to spend time with her.

Kyle and Dorit go back in to eat lunch and talk about how needy for attention she is. It’s mostly Dorit who is talking about that. Kyle realizes she has told Dorit about her childhood and LVP has never shared her childhood with her. Then she finds out she has told Dorit about her jewelry line and Kyle had no idea she even had a jewelry line.

I love seeing the Days set behind the scenes. I am such a Days fan. Rinna was first on Days 25 years ago. I used to watch her in the student lounge in college between classes. I hope we get to see her shoot a scene!

LVP and Erika ride together in a limo to the beach. Kyle and Dorit are in a separate one. They all talk about each other on the way there. Everyone feels like their expectations were not met, their feelings weren’t heard and the other is in the wrong. Rinna facetimed in to the limo with Erika and LVP and she is pissed she is missing seeing LVP with ruffled feathers. She loves to watch her squirm.

I need a moment to collect myself. Teddi’s beach house is everything. It’s got beautiful hardwood floors and an a huge outdoor space right on the beach. I’m in love. Except for that whole falling into the ocean one day part. LVP and Erika get there first and claim the rooms with the big beds. Kyle already wants to buy a beach house. Dorit and Kyle both brought a lot of food.

LVP brought up #lategate right off the bat. Then she says that she was upset that they didn’t seem interested in the lawsuit being dropped and it was a big deal to her and the brushed it off. Kyle and Dorit are literally brushing her off again and telling her what she was really feeling and what she was really upset about. Why is Kyle making me stick up for LVP! Dammit! Kyle asks her if Dorit was sitting there crying if she would have stormed out. LVP doesn’t know. Kyle is the one who is upset that LVP seems closer to Dorit than she is to her at the moment. There is a whole lot of projection going on in this scene right now. And it’s all very childish and “you like her best!”

Camille finally arrives and they all sit out on the beach in Adirondack chairs. The bitching between Kyle and LVP continues. LVP and Kyle both apologize. LVP even apologized first!

Next Week: More beach house scenes. Everyone goes to NYC for fashion week and Kyle buys some very nice earrings that I am certain got stolen when her house was robbed.  Dorit tattle tales to Erika about something the others said behind her back. Everyone goes to dinner to an all cast dinner to fight.

Doritt needs to put on L V Pump shoes..for stirring the pot….. She started the mess with Kyle and L v Pump with the comment to Kyle about chirping in to help Teddy and it ended up with Kyle and Lisa v Pump fighting, Again the one stirring the pot rides off into the sunset on the beach. LOL

Agree that it was hard not to want to stick up for LVP at the beach house. Dorit does not seem to be anybody’s friend, really. The beach house was beautiful and that sunset! But, Erika is right – these women are “petty”. And these thin storylines are getting hard to watch. But I have to say, that with this show, VPRules, Editing a magazine, running two (or is it 3?) restaurants, running Vanderpump Dogs – LVP does work very hard, and her husband is quite older than she is and she is not that young. It is hard not to admire her.

I agree about LVP evidently getting a lot done with her time. Makes me feel tired to think of it.
But the pettiness of the exchanges this episode were frightful. Makes me glad I an ineligible to be invited along to a beachhouse party like that. Worse than a trip to the dentist!

I don’t which is worse, “Panty-gate” or “Glass-gate”. Both so stupid. Something about the glass thing bugs me. I think it’s Dorit’s sense of superiority because SHE knows the proper glasses. Who gives a sh-t! I was taught to keep it to myself if I didn’t care for something at someone’s house-when I was FIVE! I still remember the conversations and I had the same talk with my boy when he was very young.
Dorit thinks a little too highly of herself. I’d like to see her knocked down two or three pegs.

I want to be friends with Teddy and hang out with her at her beach house at sunset on Adirondack Chairs.

Hi all. I live in Corona del Mar, a few beaches up from Dana Point. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY wears what that Dorit had on at the beach. The only ones who wear that are the hookers off Jamboree near the hotel. Or in Santa Ana. Honestly? It looks like something that someone who just crossed the border would buy and think looks “great.” I cannot stomach her. As for LVP? I honestly have to say that I would have left that lunch/dinner also. I cannot be around sniping hags. I love Erika tho. Missed the last minutes because husband wanted his salmon so I’ll have to rewind the DVR and catch it. I love all the comments.

Me too! That was one of my favorite shows, but I never see it on Bravo any more. They had the knack of being bitchy and yet unfailingly polite at the same time. All very civilized though, compared to RHOC, RHNJ, or RHBH. Is it on something like Netflix?

By the way, Tamara, the beach cottage was fabulous, but I would worry not only about the “falling into the ocean one day” thing, but the “being swallowed up by a gigantic 500 foot tsunami when the Cascadia Fault fractures” thing. I do admit to being a bit of an alarmist though, and could probably be coerced into living there for a decade or two.

And Gina “ go fuck yourself” never disappoints. The arguments seem organic and on the whole the ladies seem so much more authentic then Beverly Hills this season. I can’t understand why they won’t ahow it in the US great for tourism as well! Oh well TT if you find it please recap it’s not the same watching without first reading your take on things 🙁

You are promoting Melbourne EVERY time you are here. It is a sht show on par with Dallas (but worse). The only one worth watching is Gamble. But then it would be one-man show and not so entertaining. These women are cray-cray: Drag Queen with a pile of hay on her head, nervous train wreck Psych(o)ic. Lydiot and her scared little dog and wait – the best one Vampirella! You must be tooth-gaped Susie “The Apron” from some season back!

Entertaining? Entertaining??? You are joking. Total brain eclipse in most cases. Entertaining would be if producers MOVED Doritt to Melbourne. That would be hilarious. Now that’s an idea!
LVP evidently wanted to discuss the case “dismissal” to put it out there but I think Kyle is sick of defending LVP’s cases.

I am packing, too and moving to Corona del Mar. Beautiful place.

LisaJ, the cute little dogs are the first to be rescued at any shelter. LVP is not saving them. She has someone at shelters all over the country to yank the purebreeds anytime one shows up at a shelter. Meanwhile, the older, larger dogs and pitts end up getting put down.

True that TT. I worked at a shelter and those cute little puppies fly out the door, while the older, gray faced, stiff legged dogs languish (like me!). The pitties and pittie crosses are also left behind by many people who misunderstand them. These are the doggies that need rescuing.

Everytime I see a scene at their “rescue center” with the adorable puppies, it makes me cringe!

So I did some research. They adopt out dogs of all ages and sizes. They have a negative complaint stating dog agreed to adopt was rescinded due to dogs health, family upset because they were told otherwise. Everything else is as advertised. Sending my son and his girlfriend in to spy. Yes it’s a dog spa and boutique BUT she adopts dogs. What other bravo person has that heart towards dogs? She does good and I cannot malign her for that. They are shelter dogs.

I enjoy champagne, pinot grigio, merlot and Coors Light. I also enjoy Wild Turkey and Spiced Rum, but those tend to get me kicked out by the hostess. I’d also like four pillows and I prefer lower thread count linens pressed and starched to be a bit crispy. I’m not a picky eater, but Banjo is.

The problem with RHOBH is that they have no problems. They dont even struggle with “should I buy these jeans” knowing other things need your attention sometimes. That is why they trot out this drivel. If being made to wait or having someone steal their thunder was the worst They have then I must deduce that the rich dont have the same problems that everyone else has. I would rather see them work at being rich and fabulous.

I remember RHOC going jewelry shopping. Laurie was relatively poor at the time (in OC speak) but bought a diamond neclace she couldn’t quite afford Lynn Curtain being evicted, Brandi announcing Adrienne used a surrogate. Tra la la, rich people problems

I would venture that the only one who has a significant “problem” is kyle, she has her sister Kim in her life. Kim is an addict/alcoholic through and through and the illness runs deep in that family dynamic. I have no doubt Kyle has laid awake many a night on account of kim and we know she’s caught a ton of shit because of her. She takes it all personally.

Now, I’m glad I don’t have to witness it on the show anymore because it was deeply upsetting, but other than that, i’m not aware of any major “problems” these ladies have.

Dorit had some problems with her children. Jagger’s delayed speech and the baby’s sloped head (she had to wear helmet to reshape it). They may not be serious is the big picture, but to the mother they would feel serious.

Yolanda had the problem with Bella drinking and getting arrested while still in high school.

Portia used to have some speech problems and Kyle was shown taking her to therapy. LVP’s son wanted to search for his biological mother.

Being rich can insulate people from certain problems, but not from all problems.

I think they ALL have problems, they just don’t share them. Lisa had a lot of problems with Max when the show first started. Camille went through hell. Adrienne’s divorce, Brandi-well everything with her etc. People tell me all the time my life looks so wonderful; my husband is successful, a beautiful home, nice lifestyle, great kid but I’m walking around heart broken because the husband abruptly left and we have to sell our home of 18 years and my son and I are really anxious and sad. I always smile and tell people, “I’m great”. It’s just easier -plus pride, probably.
Sometimes I come here and talk about my fears and anxiety because it’s anonymous. People have also been beyond kind.

Yesterday I threw out my BF and should keep him out but he’s begging. Literally begging. Texts keep popping as I read and type this.
When his family says don’t take him back, don’t trust him… I gives me strength in my resolve but also breaks my heart for him. Makes me want to help him still. Without me he’s homeless and its zero degrees outside.
Oh what I would do to trade for some rich people problems instead.

Le Sigh. Sometimes Kyle needs to actually listen to what she is saying ’cause maybe she’d realize she makes no sense much of the time. If LVP was so upset with Kyle and Dorit “getting close,” why would she leave them alone to “get even closer?” Kyle doesn’t seem to realize that her crying about nonsense at the drop of a hat and not caring a whit about anything else going on in other people’s lives gets old real quick. And, even LVP – dying for screen time – had had it and decided to bugger off to do something less moronic and more fun. I don’t blame her.

I really want to like Teddi, cause she seems like she would be fun. I’m really hoping her whole storyline is not going to be “lategate” which was tired the first episode it cropped up.

Finally, the only reason I could see the Vanderpump Dogs manager knowing about the lawsuit being dismissed or dropped (a lay person wouldn’t necessarily know the difference) is because my understanding was that the lawsuit was against the Vanderpump Dogs company and this guy is the Executive Director so he might have been the one tasked with being the main contact with the lawyers on it. Just guessing.

Thing is? Dorit WAS being a cunt to Teddi, then Kyle. Lisa WAS participating in the conversation the same way Kyle attempted to, only to be shut down by Dorit (who continued to be supported by Lisa).

They were wrong in so many ways.

Dorit cited “etiquette” for calling Teddi out on the glasses. Hmmm… my grandmother went to “finishing school” – fancy boarding schools that taught manners. She TRIED to help us grandkids occasionally, and my Dad remembers that at least once a month, even when they were pretty poor, the family went out to eat to practice their manners.

But, my grandmother would have given Dorit some SERIOUS shit. The main idea of etiquette is to make the people around you comfortable above all the detailed stuff. You are a gracious host, and you are a gracious guest. Dorit was neither to Teddi.

Absolutely agree Erica. Dorit thinks she is discussing etiquette when in actuality she is showing her fake ass pretentious bullshit to the world. My parents taught me manners and how to behave in public, I would never behave as Dorit does, she is actually classless. Lipstick on a pig and all that. LVP has been exposed for who and what she is a fan the only one she keeps fooling is herself. Many of these ladies have figured her out. The beach house was everything, comfy and homey and with out pretensions. Teddi is the type of host who would not be upset if you were so comfy on your visit that you slipped into a nap in a lounge chair. I want guests in my home to feel as if they are at home and to not worry about anything. I love to feed people and visit and all of my friends love it because with a full tummy of good food they can nap and not feel bad about it. To me that is being a good host and I think Teddi is very much that way as well.

A plaintiff can also dismiss a case as well. They have to file a dismissal with the court in order to vacate any future hearings. Also to let the court know you are dismissing the case with or without prejudice. I would imagine of this plaintiff was incentivized to dismiss the case, she dismissed with prejudice so she cannot refile the case. But I get what you’re saying making a distinction between a case being dismissed or being dropped.

I am still recovering from the massively expensive but hideous Precious Memories thingie Dorit gave PK. And after all the trouble of posing for it and having it made, he tosses it to the side, and breaks it about two seconds later. I mean, I would have found a way to “accidentally” break something that ugly too, but I’d wait a few days at least!

He is a hostile, dreadful person and he was really taking digs during that whole scene.

Absolutely! Telling her that Boy George likes to sing with bad singers; that she looks like Barbra Streisand (she is 75 years old!!); that the doll baby looked like a horror story character. Then wanting to put the doll’s head on backwards with an Exorcist reference. Dorit just keeps accepting his comments like they’re normal and he’s clever.

Dorit and PK is trying waaaay too hard to convince us that they can actually afford their lifestyle. I cried with laughter when the $1500 precious memory figurine broke seconds after PK opened it!

It’s interesting seeing cracks in LVP’s veneer. She looked more like a season 1 housewife and not the pro of 8 seasons. Kyle was off too. Maybe Kyle is having flashbacks it’s making her paranoid that LVP is turning her new friend Dorit against her like she did with Brandi. I don’t know but things were off and they need to lighten up and have some fun.

While I was watching the episode I found myself agreeing with LVP’s point of view, and that’s not usually the case. I thought she was finally being vulnerable and Kyle stepped right over her. But your opinion makes more sense, Jaded. She was not “vulnerable,” instead she was thwarted in her attempt to whitewash the messy lawsuit.
Kyle mentioned later, on the beach, that one of her dogs came from the woman involved in one of the lawsuits. I wonder if she thinks Lisa is being sort of shady about the lawsuit/s? I’m definitely overthinking this.

The dog Kyle got from the rescue/lawsuit lady is the mixed breed she brought to the doggie spa, and his name is Storm I think.

Rest assured LA is in no danger of falling into the ocean. Really. The San Andreas is a slip fault, meaning every quake moves LA and San Francisco toward each other, not toward the ocean.

Now losing your beach home to a tsunami? That is a conversation we could definitely have!

Ok I’m just going to put it out there. If the plaintiff dropped the case odds are some money was thrown at them. With a non disclosure clause of course. This way Lisa can brag it was dismissed. Like the employee. Dorit is a vile fake accent married an old man for money phoney. She doesn’t like Teddi cause shes younger and cuter. End. Period. I love Erika. Mostly because she lets us see her in her down time in jeans, kicks, and no make up. And is pretty without. Rescue dogs? Puppies are always adopted. Its the olderdogs and Pits that need rescuimg.LVP could care less about them. She just wants little dogs for purses that will match an outfit. Pfft!

Our local shelter has teamed up with our local Humane Society and they are having all of the big, older and pit breeds put in foster care to keep them socialized or to socialize them in general. I’m very happy to say that it’s working extremely well and they aren’t being left behind. They were also able to find a home for a 20 year old cat that lost its owner.

I’m just now watching this episode, and the scene between Dorit and PK, when he insulted her and broke the figurine a – OMG IT WAS THE BEST! And the fact that they both laughed about the insult and the figurine breaking made them both just slightly, ALMOST likable. God, it kills me to write this. You can see that she doesn’t take herself too seriously, and you see the mutual affection there. It was a rare glimpse of something real on this completely BS series, with this grifter couple.

Let’s hope there’s something else I can like about this episode.

Team Kyle right here. LVP is a manipulative snake who expects to be the center of attention at all times. She even said so. And she gets pissy when others don’t kiss her ass, like when she whined the Erica wasn’t trying hard enough to be LVP’s toady, I mean friend. And then she tried to kick Kyle out of her chair, because that’s apparently how LVP tries to patch things up. I was never a big LVP fan, but I saw through her BS around Season 3 or 4, and there’s no coming back from it.

Poor Teddy will have to sage her house after these women leave. They sure know how to kill a good time.

I tried 3 times to get through this episode without falling asleep. I had to ask my husband to pause the DVR if he hears me snoring from the other room just so I know when I fell asleep. So far most of the drama is about people being late? Seriously? Now there is the bit about Kyle feeling betrayed because LVP said revealed something about her childhood to Dorit. This is what people do on scripted/ non-scripted reality TV: they do it on the Bachelor and even on MTV Real World even. The cool thing about revealing a childhood trauma is you don’t have to get drunk to do it. You don’t have to fly to Iceland or Europe. You don’t charter a boat and have a fake party or fake fundraiser. You can just go to lunch and say, “My mom never hugged me enough.” Now I am not minimizing childhood trauma, what I am saying is that a producer said to LVP: “Tell Dorit about your relationship with your mother” and that same producer told Dorit: “Tell Kyle how worried about you are about Lisa because of what she told you about her mother.” I think Kyle is probably more mad that the producers didn’t check with her first. But please keep me posted on “Late-Gate”

Dorit is the whole problem on the show! And Camille, Lisa R. and Teddi have the big picture of what this broad is all about. And I feel Kylie and Lisa see thru Dorit to and are using her for airtime. Erika, this season is boring and I feel her and Dorit are using each other. Can’t stand Dorti and her fake accent and fake hair. She is in a race with Erika in fakeness and they both lost the war on this one!
