It’s MAKEOVER NIGHT!!! The best episode of the series! I am so excited, but I am going to have to do this super fast because everyone is waiting for my RHOBH update, and only a few of us are watching this.
The only bad thing is I am not going to recognize the few people I know. I hope Rio gets a good makeover. She is coming for Coura and that will be epic.
Tyra mail comes on right away to tell the girls about their new looks. Tyra says that Liberty voted red so she is going red. Wow. That takes political backlash to a new level. Jeana has no hair and wear wigs. Tyra is taking those away. And I guess I jinxed Rio because it sound like she is going to be bald.
Apparently, Brendi K. and Christina hate each other. Isn’t Brendi K. the bitch from last week we wanted to go home?
At the makeovers, they tell Coura her look is absolutely perfect and they aren’t going to change a thing. This rightly makes the other girls nervous. Especially since she won the stupid pregnancy challenge last week.
Rhiyan gets weave down to her knees and she is loving it. Kyla basically just got her hair straightened. Jeana is traumatized by having to show her bald head. She has a perfectly shaped head and looks stunning bald. Sandra had a lot of hair chopped off for a shoulder length bob. Christina gets neon green hair. Liberty was ultimately pleased by her red hair. Erin got lots of weave. Rio loves her barely there hair dyed platinum and loves it. Ivan lost a lot of hair to perm and darken her afro. This is the first one I don’t like as much as her natural hair. Crazy ass Liz has pink hair and loves it. Khrystyana went grey. Shanice has psoriasis all over her head so she could not get her weave. She was really upset because she missed out on seeing herself in Tyra’s vision. She got a cute perm instead. Brendi K. got a buzz cute that makes her look masculine. That is something she has been teased about all of her life.

At the photo shoot, Riyan doesn’t perform well with her super long extensions. Ivana has a really bad photo shoot. Clearly the bald chick has this one in the bag. Jeana seems to have found her confidence without her hair. Liberty was great in her new red hair. Brendi. K. struggled. Brendi cries and has a meltdown. Rio looks amazing. It was a weird photo shoot and we didn’t see much of it.
Panel
At panel, Tyra announces that Jeana has inspired the judges to shed the things that they use to cover themselves. Law comes out with a shaved head. Was that a wig he has been wearing this whole time? He talks about how he used to wear 100 pounds more than he does now and he used clothes and hair as a shield. Then Drew comes out. At first I can’t see what he has done because he still has his pretty hair. Then he says he has vitiligo and you can see the white patches all over his face. I wonder if that is what I have on my chin? It’s just one tiny area that is white. That is where the singular hormonal hair grows from. That’s my unmasking, I suppose. Jeana totally won.
Jeana’s video was really good. Liberty’s was fierce, as Tyra would say. Rio was great.
Ashley calls Christina one-dimensional. I hate her green hair. I think she was the one that smarted off at the judges during auditions so I doubt they let her get too far. And they are making her wear green hair.
Coura is fabulous, blah, blah, blah. But Tyra said she needs to work on her softer looks. Law says Shanice’s photos were very one note and her personality is too. I hope someone tells her to stop bugging her eyes out in photos. Law was really harsh with Shanice. Tyra tells Khrystyana she did not like her video. They love Brendi K’s video. Drew tells her that the girl in the video could win the competition but the girl standing before him is not because she stands in her own way.
Kyla got high praise. Law says she the most modelesque of anyone in the competition. Sandra was called boring. Riyan was told she needs to have more faces. Erin is told that her moves are dated because she is 42. They liked Liz with the pink hair. Ivana seems to have lost a lot of confidence with the loss of her hair.
This season we see them in the backstage stew room waiting on the judges to deliberate. Liz and Brendi K. get into a screaming match and Liz makes a reference to Brendi K’s crazy ass family and Brendi jumps up to give Liz a beatdown. Brendi leaves the room and the other girls seem to stick up for Brendi in this situation.
Time to crown a winner. Shocker, it’s Liberty! You can see the look on Jeana’s face. She was standing there rehearsing her acceptance speech in her head. But the newly redhaired Trump supporter got the win. Brendi got third!
Shanice and Ivana are the bottom two. This makes me sad I don’t want either to go, but I hope they give Shanice a little more time. And they do.
Jeana is beautiful, and a gifted model—but 2 weeks in a row she got passed over for the top spot.
She especially should have won this episode.
Ivans’s make over actually made her look worse, and that impacted her confidence, it showed in her shoot, and she got the boot. So sad that she has to go back home with that unflattering hair!
I wonder what Liberty thinks of Trump now, after his first year in office…
Thanks for the recap, TT!
I’m loving this show and I hadn’t watched in years. I don’t have a favorite yet but do have girls I like. I’m sure I’ll pick one sooner or later. For now I’ll have to settle for for Eva the Diva on RHOA.
Damn Liz is a bitch. Brendi does need to just have one good hard cry and get over herself. She IS her own biggest obstacle. She needs to channel Grace Jones or something and own her look.
I’m actually kind of stunned about the makeover tears. They were all actually kind of legit!
I was welling up with Jeana.
I had respect for Shanice being in the bathroom trying to hide the tears, telling Drew she didn’t want to be the girl who cries over the makeover (it was clear to me, and to Drew I think, that it was tears of frustration over her condition. Plus, psoriasis itches, doesn’t it? I have had hives for weeks before. It is surprisingly exhausting, mentally and physically. I feel sorry for her and that may be why she seemed “flat”.
But, doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to muster some energy and rise to the occasion.
ANTM makeovers have been horrible for years in my opinion. I don’t blame those girls for crying, give them those horrible makeovers and then send them home.
I wish they could have done Jeana in a more private setting. I thought it was a bit cruel the way it went down. While the final result was lovely, I just felt it could’ve been handled better .
