Alan’s cellmate, Pancho has made a shank. This has Alan super nervous, what if he loses his mind and decides to shank him? It looks like production has informed Colonel Adger and he is sending in a team to do a shakedown. First they did a very though body search on all of the inmates. Then they took them all out of the zone while they did their search. They don’t find anything. Eventually, Pancho passes the shank to another inmate who didn’t want it so he flushed it down the toilet. Problem solved.
Alan makes Andrew as another participant. Nate is watching the conversation very closely so he is in on it too. Nate doesn’t approach them and basically seems to be almost gleeful at their discomfort.
Someone has gotten Andrew’s PIN and used it to buy $27 worth of commissary. He’s asking around the zone and in the process made an enemy with one of the guys who now wants to beat his ass. Nate sees it happening and gives him some advice. Basically, he tells him to guard his PIN and change up his habits and keep his mouth shut.
Angele enters I-Pod for the first time. People are already talking about how pretty Angele is. Angele seems genuinely shocked by all the attention. I’m not. She is hot.
Jaclin forgets her alias and doesn’t respond to it when she is called immediately. Stephanie seems almost gleeful about this. It doesn’t seem like they are friends. Jaclin covers by smart mouthing the officer and losing her rec time. She’s also saying things like “if you only knew” when the officer implies she is a drug addict.
Two girls drag another girl off the top bunk and beat her up in Jaclin’s pod. Jaclin starts screaming at the top of her lungs for them to quit fighting. She has a top bunk and Lyric is in the bunk below her. Lyric is threatening to beat her ass if she falls off the bed on to her. The next day, Stephanie sits on Jaclin’s bed and they chat. Clearly, Stephanie doesn’t like Jaclin and she thinks she is putting on a show for the cameras. Stephanie starts stirring some shit with the other girls about Jaclin acting out when there is an audience. Stephanie has the crazy eyes in her confessional. She says she can throw Jaclin under the bus at any second because she likes winning. Why is every damn thing a competition for so many women?
Matt is not happy with his cellmate, Lawrence who seems to be a big fan of violence. Matt says he is scary. Lawrence is hoping to get back on the Indiana’s Most Wanted List when he gets out. Matt can’t stand Lawrence and his farts. I think Matt might be the first to bail. He gives a three-minute speech about the stench. At night, Matt decides that rather than peeing in the metal toilet, he would pee in a cup rather than risk waking up the fart monster. The next morning, Lawrence rats him out for that to the officers. The officer embarrasses Matt in front of the entire zone. Matt is prepared to fight him, thus the title of this episode, “Pissed Off.”
Johnny is also struggling for different reasons. He has no cellmate at all. He’s in solitary for hours and doesn’t know if it is day or night. I am claustrophobic just watching this. I may lock myself up in the ghetto shack for hours, but this place has great windows. I keep looking at other places to live and a lack of windows ruled out a place need the beach. I could not do it. He’s been in there less than a week and he is already thinking of tapping out.
Next week, Alan gets pissed off at an officer for being disrespectful. Emmanuel seems to think he is on a talk show. He is showboating like some kind of fool. The drugs and booze comes out in the South Annex. Jaclin declines to participate, but ole crazy eyes is the first in line. Nate has a birthday that may cause a beat down, and Matt continues to whine about Lawrence.
