Tim and Joey are competitive eaters. Tim wins the Nathan’s hot dog challenge every year. Cedric and Shawn are pro basketball players. Dessie & Kayla are model for boxing matches. Alec and Connor are race car drivers. Kristi and Jen are professional snow skiers. Cody and Jessica are not champions of anything. They are Big Brother losers. Henry & Evan they are winners on the Yale Debate teams. Eric & Daniel are twins who are both firefighter paramedics. April and Sarah are goat yoga teachers. Trevor & Chris are violinists in the singing string quartet. Lucas and Britanny are ocean rescue lifeguards. Britanny is hoping for a proposal. He has a ring in his pocket.
The first leg of the race begins in NYC and they are sent off to Iceland. They first have to sort of zip line between two mountain peaks dangling over a massive canyon to retrieve a clue. Cedric and Shawn are the older team and they struggle a bit. However, April and Sarah bitch at each other constantly. And they are the yoga instructors! No zen there.
The next challenge is basically going mudding through some really wet routes on an ATV. There are about 11 letters out there with numbers on them. They don’t really know what they are supposed to do. They need to remember the numbers on each letter to get them in the right order. But they are not told that the numbers represent the order. Somehow Cody completes the challenge to get them into first place. He beat the guy from Yale! WTF? Yale got finished second. Everyone is struggling with this challenge. The skiers are in third.
Team Big Brother sails through the finale challenge in first place also. But then they get lost. Kristi and Jen come in first. Team Big Brother is still lost as hell. Somehow they get second place.
Cedric and Shawn helped one of the girls teams solve the spelling puzzle, and then are unable to complete it themselves. Thankfully they come in eighth. However, because Shawn’s teammate got help form Cedric, they are penalized thirty minutes. They manage to finish their time before the last two girls team arrived at the finish line. It was literally a photo finish for the last four girls and they had to consult the footage. The result was that Dessie and Kayla, the models were eliminated, and the bitch yoga girls squeaked by for another episode.
I can’t decide if I am rooting for team Big Brother or rooting against them.
I am team Cody and Jessica so far. Cody is a veteran and I appreciate that. I am not for the blond yoga girl but they come as a team.
Damn I missed it. I thought it started next week. Hopefully it will be on demand. Thanks TT !!!!
Team Big Brother. This season looks exciting!! Looks like they will add some twist and turns to shake it up. I can’t wait!! Wow…30 seasons!
This would be the only reality show I would be on but I would yell too much at my partner and thus come out looking crazy..so no go for me!
Back when this show first started I wanted to do it with my brother. Now I am too fucking old and have THE ANXIETY so I would not be good at all. Plus I cannot eat or drink weird shit without throwing up. I mean I am open to trying new foods for sure but I can’t eat much of anything at time because anxiety makes it hard.
I’d be great at the traveling and finding my way around new places, I’d fuck it all up for everyone because I’m not skydiving or riding a rope across a canyon.
I’m also too fat for coach anymore as the seats shrink and I expand. And they don’t let you ride up front on this show.
The goat yoga team just kept bickering.. So annoying.
Joey’s the one who wins the Nathan’s hotdog challenge. It’s at Coney Island. I confess, I’ve been. Hot as Hades. I think Joey and Tim (aka Eaterx) have an advantage in any eating competition. They eat things like raw oysters at astounding speeds. Not so much in a physical challenge. Team Big Brother is definitely fit. Cody is as taciturn as ever.
It felt odd that the team who received helped didn’t incur a penalty as well.
Agreed – I thought the same thing! I also wish they would have called them out on the spot (when it happened) but I guess that would have made the ending less dramatic.
You can help or disrupt the other teams all you want. But in many of the challenges only one person plays, in those cases the partners are not allowed to give advice. So helping the female team was fine, but the guy telling his partner to double check his Ps and Os was a rule violation.
Oh got it. Thanks for clearing that up.
I’m team Big Brother, it’s nice to see Jess and Cody outside of the house and getting on so well! Team well strung is also a top pick – they are super cute together and very easy on the eyes! : )
I’m for the basketball guys. So nice and funny. The yoga gals have gotta go.
Old Jane agrees.
Thank God for on Demand and snow days so I just watched it on demand because I thought it starts next week.
I’m for the violinist, they seem like fun.
I’m also for this deep freeze to end. Why do I live in Central NY?! LOL
It sucks that slam dunk incurred that penalty, I don’t think I’ve seen that happen in all 30 seasons
I am so team Big Brother and Team NBA. I love how the show is showing a “softer” side to Cody. I want one of those two teams to win
