Burglars Stole ALL of Kyle Richards Jewelry And Handbags!

December 30, 2017 by tamaratattles 85 Comments

The break-in at Kyle Richards’ house was worse than we thought. I found it really odd that there were reports on what was stolen so quickly after the burglary occurred. I’ve had my house broken into and months and years later, I realized things were missing. It seems now that the dust has settled, we’re finding out that the burglars took the entire contents of Kyle’s lock box with all the jewelry that she owns except for what she was wearing. They also took Maurico’s collection of expensive watches.

The burglars stole Kyle’s wedding band. Why wasn’t she wearing that?  They also took all of her Birkin and Chanel bags!!! Some of her bags were vintage, given to her by her mother that she hoped to pass down to her girls.

There were a lot of odd coincidences that allowed the burglars to get away, They got in by using a ladder to access a second floor balcony and broke out a window. They had a strong security system that could be turned on remotely, but it sounds like everyone thought someone else had done it. The surveillance system was also off. That was reportedly due to renovations on the house. And finally their three dogs, including the German Shepard were all off at a five-week obedience training course. So basically the house was wide open.

I hope that is her favorite handbag.

Initially it was thought that it was an inside job. And I still believe that it was. However, the police are saying that there have been other break-ins recently that fit the same pattern. Mariah Carey’s break-in was given as an example. To me, what they have in common is that they came in through a window and stole expensive jewelry and sunglasses and handbags. My house in the ghetto was the same, in through a window, stolen jewelry and laptop. Perhaps the juvenile delinquents in my neighborhood have move to Encino? I think it is more likely that some of the people working on renovations knew the dogs were away, that everyone was out of town, where the master bedroom closets were, knew that surveillance was turned off and hoped to get in and out before the police responded to the alarm.

I have a lot of jewelry and I keep it all in a lock box at the bank. It’s a PITA to go there and swap things out so I don’t do it often. I hope they get one of those for the future.

Meanwhile, people are leaving absolutely horrible messages on Kyle’s Instagram. Blaming her for flaunting her wealth, suggesting that Kim did it, and all manner of mean crap. The Internet has made us all too aware that there are a lot of people out there who enjoying kicking people when they are down.

TMZ was the first to report this story.

The inherited items would be devastating for anyone. I recently had my car broken into and just the fact that these people had been in my daughter’s ‘space’ rattled me, so I feel for Kyle.

However, (without any cattiness or blame shame) I do agree that much of Kyle’s storyline over the last couple of years has been her husband bringing in the big bucks. That is never a good idea for a storyline… for many reasons…

Even though Kyle and Mauicio are Uber ,wealthy, the heirloom jewelry stolen can never be replaced. This is my biggest nightmare and why I hate to leave home for long. I have nowhere near their wealth at all , but that sense of violation must be so awful. It’s also scary to wonder who did it and if they will be caught. I would also think with all that wealth , they could have gotten a housekeeper or a friend to maybe house-sitting. What a way to ruin your holidays. I hate that people on social media are being nasty to Kyle as well. I don’t watch Beverly Hills anymore but I always liked Kyle. Her friendship with Faye Resnick, not so much!!

I agree Margaret. I also thought it was unwise that nobody bothered turning on the security system. I suspect some time ago they fell into the habit of not turning it on.

Hope Kyle, Mauricio and the kids can put this aside and enjoy the remainder of the holidays. They seem like a lovely family.

I wonder if they got her mom’s wedding ring, I remember from last season she loved that piece so much.

A lot of her mom’s jewelry that we’ve seen on the show is incredibly unusual and obviously custom-designed. Not overpriced identikit Cartier and Chanel crap like most of these women favor. I imagine a lot of that stuff will be hard to even sell on because of its uniqueness.

They’ll just break it apart and sell it or if they don’t, there’s always a market for stolen jewelry, art work etc-no matter how famous the previous owner.
I wonder how sophisticated these guys were. If they were actually working on the construction site or they tipped off professional thieves for a percentage.

It’s sad/pitiful especially during this time of the year, that people go online and use this as an opportunity to tear her apart, same with Countess. Kick them when they’re down. People love to see those that are well off, knocked down a peg. It makes me feel weary sometimes, all the nastiness in the world.

Personal items, such as jewelry, are usually well insured, but it’s impossible to place a monetary value on things that were handed down by her mom, or part of a collection. I’m sure Kyle had some beautiful pieces which will be irreplaceable. She already has money – that won’t make her whole. It certainly sounds like someone knew what the situation was at the house, and took full advantage of it. With such wealth, I’m really surprised that there weren’t cameras, and that no one was in charge of making sure the security system was armed; that seems careless, given the value of the contents of the house. Not a happy way to start the new year, but hopefully some of the items will be recovered.

How do you send your dogs away for obedience training? I don’t get that. Aren’t they just learning to be obedient to the trainers in that location? Our vet has obedience school attached and they insist that that the owner of the dog, the person who mostly cares for them, be the one who takes them to training sessions. In most cases, the dog owner is really the one who needs to be trained. They need to learn the rules and boundaries that their dog needs to live peaceably within the family. The owner’s behavior and feelings are often what a dog picks up on and reacts to. It’s like how Cesar Milan can come into a home with an out of control dog and very quickly get the dog to behave for him. He then spends most of his time teaching the owners how to do the same thing—how to project calm assertive energy, how to hold the leash, how to stand, and even in what tone of voice to speak to the dog when giving a command. I can imagine that an intensive away from home obedience class would only work if the owners came back for the last week and became part of the training.

Perhaps they use that same place Kim used to send the demon dog, Kingsley. I remember that dude used to come and pick Kingsley up and take him away for a while, then he’d bring him back to Kim and she’d roll around the floor with him like a crazy woman. It was definitely Kim who needed the training in that relationship.

That said, given what Kingsley did to Alexia, perhaps Kyle wouldn’t send her dogs to that guy!

Well when we first got our dog and we were struggling, the place that gets recommended around here is a boarding facility that trains the dog for a couple of weeks using a shock collar, you get them back all worn out and submissive. We didn’t send our dog there.

Amy the house was going through extensive renovation. The dogs were sent off to be taken care of while the family was gone. There are times when it is better to leave dogs behind and leaving them in an unattended home with workers working off and on is not suitable. I do not know if you are aware that dogs once sent to obedience school need to go back every now and then for retraining.

What makes me angriest is the people that think they have a right to other people’s things.
Get a frigging J-O-B. I don’t care if it is diamonds or a trinket, if it isn’t yours, then leave it alone. I despise the Kardashians, but it is their right to own, and wear, what they want.
A few weeks ago Captain Lee purchased a bicycle to ride in a charity run. He mentioned it on his Twitter, and of course a few people scoffed at him getting angry when he can afford to buy another.
    That’s not the point.
Get a fucking J-O-B. If it doesn’t pay for the things in life, improve yourself. No one should feel entitled to what another owns. Ever.

Workers in our home stole my gold Pandora bracelet and gold charms, my diamond earrings and my mother’s engagement ring and wedding band. Unfortunately I had no proof but I know they did.
From that point forward, NO ONE outside of the immediate family has been allowed upstairs or anywhere period in my home unaccompanied, even for 5 seconds. I used to have a cleaning person, but no longer.
I could kick myself now for being so trusting and naive. I feel for Kyle as I know the frustration and sadness she must be feeling, especially over her mother’s things. No, things don’t equal the person you have lost and it could be much worse, but it still hurts a lot to lose them.

If it were a cop show, all of the factors that made it so easy for the thieves to break in would make me automatically assume that the couple was over-extended on this new house, and staged the robbery for the insurance money.

But that’s just going on a string of random facts that don’t necessarily add up to anything in real life. (Plus, it’s hard to believe Kyle would sacrifice her vintage Birkin bags!)

I’ve been a pet sitter for 25 years in an extremely affluent area. You’d be surprised at the number of homeowners who have extremely high tech security systems and don’t bother to use them !! Why ? I think in some cases it’s pure laziness. If I’m coming into their home while they’re away I INSIST on using the security system for my own protection as well as the protection of their property. The last thing I want to deal with is a break in while my clients are away.
And it’s easy to see how they could simply have forgotten to turn it on. Regardless of your wealth it’s hectic in your house when everyone is trying to get out the door with luggage. I’m sure that one thought the other had set the system.
On another note I feel very badly for Kyle. I don’t care how wealthy you are she and her family have been violated. And the snarky comments fueled by jealousy are uncalled for. There are an awful lot of bitter angry people out there who resent successful people. Has it occurred to them that both Mauricio and Kyle are smart people who work hard for their money and absolutely deserving of their wealth ?? They should be admired and credited for their financial success not vilified. The bitterness of the “99%” is disgusting.

She was kind of fancy and I was wanting a new purse. I found one I really liked in a photo and showed it to her to find out where I could get one.

She thought I was putting her on because I didn’t know what it was,

And I thought she was putting me on because it was a Birken, and I honestly had no idea.

And I don’t think it’s ok to be mean to people but a lot of people are really struggling right now. Bad. Housing up. Healthcare up. Etc etc. The pressure of Christmas. When someone who has SO much gets robbed like this while on a fab vacation it’s rough for people. Just sayin. You can’t afford to buy presents for your kids and living pay check to pay Check and someone has millions in jewelry and purses stolen from her 9 million dollar house…

Juat because you are having a hard timu ue doesn’t mean rich people have to pretend like they are not doing well. I do not understand why poor people hate rich people, They are just on a different path than we are,

I agree Tamara. I don’t get the hatred of rich people, especially Kyle and Mauricio who have busted their butts and continue to work hard for everything they have.

I also don’t understand the comments about Kyle “flaunting ” her wealth when last checked that’s the point of the show

And I have never seen her flaunt anything until this season when she seemed thrilled to have TWO new Birkin bags,

I am happy that my rich friends are rich. I want everyone to have anything they can achieve.

I do have house envy sometimes but those with a great relationship with their partner are the ones I truly envy.

That said, I am VERY PERTURBED that teen moms and reality THOTS are rich. Nene Leakes was on the local news just before she was on RHOA for being a scammer. And why do I live in a shittier house than a Teen Mom who is supposed to be a cautionary tale of how life works,?

But rich people who worked and got rich? or even married rich? I’m so down with that,

She’s never going to forgive herself (and possibly Mauricio) for moving out of her old house now. If I were her I wouldn’t want to live in that new house anymore. I feel terrible for her, I think it will take a long time to get over this.

That really does suck. They finally found a house to agree on, and this happens.
I’m sure Mario could fix however they want to, that is a plus, just hope another dream home comes along.
It is such a weird feeling when someone has been in your home. A huge home with tons of hiding spots, I’d probably prefer to leave. If I ever wanted to sleep again.

Wow, that’s awful. It’s devastating, not only the violation of someone breaking into your home but to lose items that have been passed down from your family. People should’ve learned from the Kim K robbery that you don’t go posting pics of your fab vacations while you’re on them or of your fancy expensive jewelry. Not saying she had it coming or anything but it’s really just common sense at this point. Anyway, I hope she’s able to recover… I know I would have an extremely difficult time being in my home after it had been robbed.

I don’t like this “blame the victim” mentality. Posting Instagram photos doesn’t cause someone to get robbed. Thieving scum with no respect for other people’s property causes someone to get robbed.

Besides, there are dozens of paparazzi shots every single day of people like the Kardashians and Kyle. I’ve seen a million photos of Kyle shopping in Aspen with Bethenny today, and I haven’t been on either of their social media pages. It’s not hard to figure out where a celebrity is, whether they’re on social media or not.

Blaming the victim always comes across as jealousy to me.
Takes a real special person to blame the victim, ugh.

This is a thoughtful response. I agree with you: we are all entitled to live our lives unmolested, whether we are rich or poor. A person should be free to walk out of a bar drunk as a lord and not be targeted by a mugger. The mugger is the violator!

Yea, that’s so true, but sadly, that’s not the real world. I don’t post on social media when I am away unless there’s someone at home. Nor do I get so wasted in public that I become an easy target. That’s just common sense and self preservation.

But I am also not followed by relentless paparazzi, either. It’s a no win for the more famous among us in this age where our movements can be tracked and posted instantly.

I have one very nice inherited diamond ring, and I keep it at the bank. Other than that I have nothing of value. Sadly.
Not judging, but wouldn’t wealthy people keep their jewels in a safe? A very heavy-duty, or hidden safe?? I suppose the thieves could take the safe… but the house really did seem wide open with lots of expensive items inside. I think I would be very paranoid if I was rich, especially in SoCal. Even as poor as I am, I do not post on social media when I am out of town a lot, or if my BF is traveling and I am home alone.

I’ve given up thinking anywhere is safe! Thieves even raided people’s precious jewelry kept in the Hatton Garden vaults in London by drilling through several feet of steel and concrete, so nowhere’s safe if they want your stuff badly enough.

Haven’t read through the comments so I am probably (I hope) preaching to the choir.

The inside job bullshit is an easy out, I think, for the po po and other people to shift blame back on to the victims.

When my parents’ house was ransacked and a lot of shit stolen, there was a broken window in the back of the house (where no one would hear or see). The officer who responded to the call said that it was “clearly staged” as no one would reach in to unlock the window to open it, with such a large piece of glass still hanging there (in the part that moves). It would be “impossible”.

My crazy ass father carefully shut the window, ran outside, and stuck his bare arm through the broken window, and opened the latch. Then yelled at the cop (who was wandering around making notes, or texting his girlfriend) that he had just opened the window that was “impossible”. Then after I slowly closed the window, my dad did it again just for the cop’s clarification.

The cop was a total ass. It made us feel violated all over again. He had quizzed us about who had keys to the house, and who lived in that person’s house. Seemed reasonable… but then he clearly zeroed in on the close friends and neighbor who had a teenager. I overheard him telling someone on the phone he suspected their teenaged son… I got rude at that point, and interrupted, stating that he ignored us saying there was no way that young man would or could do it (we would have GIVEN him everything stolen if he needed it. We adore him!). He started lecturing me about being naive about teenagers – I interrupted, stating that I used to teach HS, so not naive, and said teen was in EUROPE as an exchange student which he would have known if he had let me speak when asking me about everyone initially.

Later I saw something that looked like a fingerprint, and he got all huffy about my questions… said I watched too many cop shows. Kept saying he’d finger print if I thought it necessary.

To this day I wish I had recorded him, and called up his supervisor. We were all in too much shock.

I don’t begrudge Kyle and Mauricio anything . They started from nothing, Kyles mother and her sisters were / are monsters. Kyle , in my opinion, never really flaunted her wealth but she was proud of their success and their ability to overcome a rotten, narcissistic family. I was always happy for Kyle. I believed the part where they bought Kim out of the house in order to help her financially. I also believed that they supported Kim for years without anything in return. This is a tragedy, a hardship and it’s painful. They’ve overcome worse, but I’m sad for them. I am. It doesn’t matter how much you have or how much you’ve been blessed with. Loss is loss. And this was deliberate malice. No one deserves that

I find it pathetic that people are so bitter and awful, that they wish harm on others. In Los Angeles there is a professional ring of thieves that have been targeting the wealthy for the past year. Others that have been robbed this year include:Kelly Clarkson, Niki Minaj, Scott Disick, Drake, Hillary Duff, Alanis Morissette, Derek Fisher, Yasiel Puig and Kendall Jenner to name a few.

    Bitter people suck!
