Million Dollar Listing Los Angles : Who’s Your Daddy

December 22, 2017 by tamaratattles 33 Comments

Back by popular demand, is this week’s MDLLA episode recap. This show always gets put on the back burner for other posts, and if I’m being honest so I can watch Christmas movies instead. But since you guys were asking for it, here we go!

Josh Flagg

Josh is getting ready for his over the top wedding. The one that Sonja almost ruined. I wonder if they will show that?

He also has a new client a famous guitarist and is wife. They want a modern house, no pool, a city view, privacy and exactly what they want with no renovations needed. They seem obnoxious already. He’s a million years old and she is a hot young blond with a banana peel plan. She hates something about every house Josh shows her. I’m shocked at what you can buy in Sherman Oaks or The Valley for less than three million. Also, why is six bathrooms a selling point? What is with this trend of having more bathrooms than bedrooms? Why do two people need six bathrooms?

Josh and his future husband, Bobby have zero things in common. Both of Bobby’s parents died last year within a month of each other. Both died of lung cancer. That’s tragic.

Tracy Maltas

Tracy has a listing appointment that seems perfect for Josh’s client if you ask me. It does have a pool though and really close neighbors so maybe not. Also it is on a very busy street. Not only does the guy want the list price around $400,000 more than what Tracy thinks it can sell for, he wants the list price to be $3,893,826. I am not going to type out his ridiculous explanation for why he wants it that way. Suffice it to say he’s not all there in the head. Tracy agreed to $3.8 million to be renegotiated in two weeks.

On the day of the brokers open it is 102 degrees outside and the busy street is mostly closed due to road work. Not off to a good start. The brokers love the house but hate the street. Then the seller shows up. He is pissed that there were not hundreds of people in the open house. He’s being a dick about it.

OMG! Tracy’s husband told her in a previous episode that she was so busy with work she didn’t know what grade her daughter was in. He somehow convinced her that she was in third grade after she said she was in second. He was lying! That’s really sort of mean.

She goes back to the client to tell him that his price is too high. He refuses to do so. Tracy walks away from the property. They finally find a house with gorgeous views in Beverly Ridge for $2 million. They get it for 50K less than ask.

Josh Altman

Josh has one more deal to do before the baby comes. The baby is due any day. All of the grandparents are there. Heather looks like she had a really big burrito for lunch, not 9+ months pregnant. Josh’s dad talks to him about him apparently wanting a boy. He’s really sweet and tells Josh that his daughter will wrap him around her little finger. It’s true. Josh has no idea what how this baby girl is going to steal his heart. Josh’s dad is thrilled to welcome his first granddaughter.

Josh doesn’t make it to an important meeting because Heather’s water broke and they are headed to the hospital. We get home video footage! I love home video footage. Heather is still working on her hair and makeup. She does look amazing in her little black dress that is probably not even a maternity dress.

I don’t think Heather made a sound during delivery. Josh is absolutely over the moon.

The upcoming scenes for the season look amazing. And Fredrik comes to help out Tracy!

We didn’t get to see the Brits or Madison this week. I am kind of worried about Madison. He looks either very ill or like he is on something. It’s scary.

Am I the only one who got annoyed when Josh said Heather was having HER baby?

Why? Gosh that’s harsh. He was nervous. I don’t think there was anything wrong with it. The guy was on a phone call while his wife was in labor with his first child. Give him a break. I think he is thrilled to be a Dad and was very honest about how nervous he was with all of it and struggled with finding a balance between. Getting ready for the baby and his career.

IMO, I feel he is happy about the baby but has somewhat dissasociated himself from it. He only says baby, never daughter and never “my”. I think he realizes that the baby will change his life and he would rather work making deals that make him feel like a big shot. Even his brother stated that something that only eats and sleeps can’t possibly take up his time. His brother is so delusional and I think he is saying that because he doesn’t want Josh to take time off for the baby. Poor Heather will be a single mother while married. I married and divorced a man from a very weathlly family and my mother-in-law actually sat me down to explain how if I have children I will be a married single mother, that I need to sacrifce help from my husband for financial security. I pretty much told her I wasn’t having childred under those circumstances and guess what – didn’t have kids with him thankfully. I also can’t deal with James and David, they drive me nuts and I fast foward through all of their filming. If anyone I would hire Madison as I wouldn’t have to feed his ego throughout the process.

I’m a gay man. I only watch the show for Josh Flagg. He’s weird, but entertaining. His husband and him are fascininating to me. Something about them is so different.

I wish this franchise was not so scripted.

If someone told you that I would be a lot nicer to you if you announce yourself as a gay man upon arrival…they were right. Also stay away from Mark. He’s very um, well… I’m just trying to look out for you since you are new.

I so agree with you about Flag. He fascinates me. He is such a throwback to an earlier, more elegant time because of his grandmother’s influence. He owns his privileged luck, but I can see he probably had a lonely childhood because he looks to have been so ideosyncratic , even then.

I’m probably in the minority but I don’t like either Josh…especially Flagg. Madison is the one I really like. But I love the NYC cast…especially Fredrik.

I don’t like Fredrik, he is so dramatic, feels disingenuous. While I think he is elitist and a snob, I do find Flagg interesting, he seems very intelligent and such an old soul.

“…a young blonde with a banana peel plan”!! You hit it on the nose! Poor old hubby looked like a great-great-great-granddaddy turtle – I kind of liked him, but she was a demanding bitch. Maybe I’m jealous, but when they walk into these beautiful homes and tear them apart, it just kills me, especially when their budget wasn’t that high. I’d live in any one of them, especially the ones with the view and the swimming pool. The only thing I don’t like is when they’re on the edge of a hill. In Los Angeles. In earthquake country. In mudslide country. Nuff said. Love this show, but does anyone else think Madison suddenly looked as though he had some really good plastic surgery? A few episodes ago, maybe it was last season, he looked pretty rough – was starting to show his age. In the scenes in bed with him and the boyfriend, he looked so much better. Josh Flagg in love is hysterical – he’s like a giddy teenager. Still making my mind up about Tracy, not sure if I like her or not. Decided I do – she definitely knows the real estate market and how to conduct negotiations with clients. Pretty impressive watching her at work. Very happy for Josh A. and Heather. She had to have been epiduraled to within an inch of her life – she didn’t even make a squeak. Congratulations to both of them – beautiful baby and loving family.

Madison’s appearance startled me on his first appearance. He’s aged really badly. Whatever people found good looking about him has gone away.

I cannot stand Tracy. I don’t think her husband was pranking her last week at all. Go back and watch the episode. I think she has no idea what’s going on with her kids and I think she said that this week in her confessional to cover her ass. A few episodes ago, while In full hair and makeup with freshly manicured nails and just back from the gym and a massage, she actually said she doesn’t get enough “me” time. She is the quintessential SoCal fake, selfish, money grubbing, narcissist.

I’m sorry, not all females in Los Angeles are the fake, money grabbing cunts you seem to think they are. There are some out here, but they are few and far between!

At least Tracy is EARNING her money!

I know a lot of successful women whom would never take a dime from a man, please don’t lump us all together!

Thank you for recapping The Million Dollar Listing shows, TT! They are my fave.

Something must be going on with David Parnes (the other half of the Brit agents). He has yet to show up for the season, leaving James to carry on as if everything was normal. Anybody know why David is absent? He got married, and in late October it was announced that he and his wife are expecting a baby…..but not a word about where he is and why he isn’t on the show. I wonder if it has to do with his brother, the one with the brain tumor.

I worry about him too. I love The Brits! David is a very kind person and I hope everything is well with him. Has anyone else noticed the intense filtering they are using on all confessionals and several scenes. It’s so distracting and way beyond unnecessary.

Madison is taking on the appearance of a crypt keeper. He may just be too thin & aging poorly, or he could be seriously ill. Dunno, but it is worrisome.

Did anyone else notice the BuzzBox sitting on Flagg’s desk during the meeting with the clients/phone call to the other broker? I had to look it up, it’s premium cocktails in a drink box. The one he was drinking was a Bloody Mary. Funny to me since Bobby was trying to get him to drink non alcoholic beverages during the meeting with the wedding planner.

I noticed Altman’s “her baby” remark but I think it just comes from his upbringing. Can’t stand the guy but can see he’s going to be wrapped around Alexis’ finger like his dad said.

I’m glad Tracy walked. That client was bonkers. And has she replaced the brits or what? No sign of either this episode and one of them has only had 30 seconds of airtime all season.
