Kandi Burruss has been quietly working with her charity Kandi Cares to support single parent households. At the beginning of the school year, the charity provided many families with school supplies, backpacks and school clothes.
She also surprised ten expectant mothers with baby showers and presents for the babies first Christmas. On Thanksgiving, Kandi Cares volunteers passed out turkeys, collard greens, homemade cupcakes and all the trimmings to 92 single parent families.
Last week, Kandi has announced on that she’ll give away $50,000 in scholarships to high school and college students who live in single-parent households.
There is a very short window to apply. If you are someone you know is eligible, go to KandiCares.org to apply.
I thought we needed some good news and positivity before tonight’s RHOA. Oh and as a bonus for reading this. I’ll tell you to pay close attention to Cynthia’s scenes tonight. You MIGHT see something familiar.
