Melissa says that Gorga’s Pizza is packed every night. It’s mainly Joe’s thing. She has Envy and Teresa is very busy with her commitments as well and Joe is taking the lead on the pizzeria. She says that she and Teresa go in with recipes and ideas but are not there that often.
There is no RHONJ next week. Why? It’s Wednesday, not Thanksgiving night. I need crap to blog about, people!
I love Jerry O’Connell he is the only straight male that comes on WWHL to dish on the housewives that I don’t take issue with. That said, I am not going to recap who he picks for his dream team and other stupid games Andy makes him play.
Melissa seems confused by a lot of questions. She doesn’t remember mocking the fact that Siggy had a plastic surgeon at her “women’s empowerment” retreat. I remember it, and I think she was absolutely right. Telling women to take better photos of themselves for dating sites, encouraging plastic surgery and giving makeup tips is ridiculous with regard to empowering women. So are all the platitudes that she and the divorce lawyer were spewing. There was absolutely nothing empowering to women about that retreat.
Andy is super excited to host NYE. I’ve decided I have to watch it because they are usually up on a really high platform and there is always a chance he might fall off.
Melissa rightly sticks to her guns about Melissa being an overly permissive parent.
Melissa says she is very frustrated with herself for not walking out of Siggy’s party where she publicly shamed her. She says when she saw it on TV she was angry that she sort of just stood there and took it.
Melissa says despite having a recording studio in her house, she has no plans or desire to make more music. Joe really wants her too, but she’s just not into it. She is very busy with Envy.
Because my recap was such a dud, I went to watch the aftershow. Someone asked Melissa if she had gone to visit Juicy Joe in prison. She says she has not, but he is doing really well. She says Teresa was at her shore house all summer because hers got repossessed. And Joe would call a lot while Tre was there. Actually, she didn’t Tre’s shore house being in foreclosure. But is was sold and I believe the entire structure was razed.
That link above is not about the house getting razed. I could not find that link but I did find Andy’s last appearance on Wendy Williams an it was such an awkward thing, I think you might enjoy the read.
Anyway, Melissa says that Joe would call a lot and he is actually doing great. He’s lost a lot of weight and he is passing the time.
Melissa is asked if Siggy’s Women’s Empowerment Retreat is hypocritical since Siggy is always starting shit with the other housewives and publicly shaming them. She tries to be polite about it, but says that on the next episode she will call Siggy out a bit for that sort of thing. The most interesting part of that is that the situation with Teresa and Joe & Melissa seems to be the real deal now that Joe is in prison, they are her fambily.
Melissa is asked how often she and Tre see the Wakiles. She says they don’t really see them much at all. Too bad. The Wakiles are good people. They are missing out. Next, Melissa is asked if she misses Jaq’s friendship at all and she tersely replies, “Is that a joke?”
I am REALLY surprised that Andy allowed a viewer question about Jerry being a guest on the Wendy Williams show when she fainted. He said it was horrible and very scary and he is so glad she is okay. He also said he watches her and Kelly and Ryan everyday and that he is currently unemployed. I love Jerry O’Connell.
I really enjoy Kelly and Ryan. I want whatever Kelly is on. She comes out every morning at nine a.m. fresh as a daisy and is perky. I’ve told you guys before I’ve talked to my therapist about this, back when I had a therapist. I get she is rich and married to a hot guy and makes a kajillion dollars, but I still believe everyone has bad days. I get that she overacts a bit. But she always has funny stories to tell and is BFFs with everyone who is represented by CAA. She has genuine friendships with her co-stars from Michael to Ryan. And Anderson Cooper, David Muir and Andy Cohen. They know her kids. She has Ryan over frequently now with his girlfriend. I envy her ability to be “happy” all the time and to insert herself into the lives of people who help her career. She has quite the life.
Anyway, I digress… What did you think of WWHL last night?
I wish Andy would have asked my question that I tried to ask Melissa on a few occasions but she never answers. I want to know what Melissa thinks of Teresa bashing her constantly in new book…(the shade ?& the truth) Pretty much anytime Melissa is mentioned, Teresa talks very negative about her. So much for this great “sister-in-law friendship” & “I love my sister-in-law” crap they try to portray to us (like we don’t see through it ? & we do) because Teresa clearly does not like her sister-in-law. Other then that thank-you so much for the re-cap TT, as I won’t watch Melissa unless I have to on RHONJ & even then I fast forward through her scenes if I can
She just has to take it. Tre knows where the George’s bodies are hurried. Joe & Melissa don’t want to go to “college.”
Dann new phone. Gorga’s
Dann new phone. Gorga’s bodies are buried!
This WWHL was all Jerry and not much Melissa. Obviously Melissa is on the Tre team.
The pizza palace packed every night.. Doubt it. Ain’t like OLG restaurant, that has great food. Pasta is pasta. Pizza is dough with stuff on it.
Hate to say, but this franchise is getting worse. Milan??
“Andy is super excited to host NYE. I’ve decided I have to watch it because they are usually up on a really high platform and there is always a chance he might fall off”
Hahahahahahahahaha
I can’t with these women there is no substance. I clocked out after the first episode. Most of them are dumber
than the next. I cannot fake the real.
Women meaning RHONJ.
That’s why I don’t like Kelky Ripa, no substance. I’ve tried if and on for years to like her, what’s wrong with me that I can’t like a smiley face each morning?
During the week after Sandy, the body count and devastation was still being reported on, Kelly and Michael had to do their show with no guests and small a audience, mostly the crews family.
Michael asked Kelly how her situation was and she replied with telling a story. They had no power, had to take the stairs down to a hotel. They had to share one room with the three kids and how hard it was for the kids to find WiFi to get their homework assignments, etc.
As she kept speaking I was thinking about the kids with no homes, no cloths, the Mom whose 2 baby boys washed away and Kelly was rattling on about her kids walking around trying to find WiFi connections.
I have not gotten over her story that day. Kelly had a home.
TT I don’t think you are missing anything.
No, I get it. I work in PR and Marketing and some of the people who really excel in my field jump around the place at 7am like, “ENERGY! SUCCESS!!! FOCUS! I LOVE LIFE! I’VE JUST DONE AN HOUR OF YOGAAA!”
While I’m like, “Bitch I can turn this shit on when I HAVE to. Get out of my fucking face before I’ve had my third triple espresso, Sandra. FFS.” and grumble at my desk until 10am.
I hate people. I work in the wrong industry.
I agree with this. I think Kelly is deep down shallow and probably a bitch. I’ve known people like her. I’d take a snarky grumpy Bethany Frankel type that actually helps people and puts her shit out there. Cannot believe I wrote that because not really a huge Bethany can but she just popped in my head for an example. I LOVE Jerry! Love him.
Just needed to write that I completely agree re: Kelly. I have been wondering how people do it (Kelly has the happy gene on steroids )
She denied having plastic surgery. What? I don’t remember that…. eye roll. #BeReal
I am crabby, these shows should just give us some truth, loosely scripted plot lined comedy/drama because this shit isn’t real. I would love to see Kathy Griffin zoom the AC’s with a drone as the clock goes down! With friends like these, you have built in enemies.
I have never gotten jerry connell. Too goofy.
I’ve seen Kelly since the mid 80s when she was on Dance Party USA. She always came off as too rehearsed for me. She was 17 at the time. When she was on All My Children, I remember reading an article in Cosmo that Talked about her screaming and throwing a chair across the dressing room. The article portrayed it has pretty normal behavior for her.
