I’ve got a case of the Mondays today. So much technical stuff with the site to get through and I just need an hour or so off to ignore the situation for a bit. Things went a big haywire over the weekend and now everything needs straightening out on Monday, and I’m not sure who to scream at first. So let’s check in with the Teen Moms.
I like Brianna, but I wish she could get out on her own away from her mother and sister. Her mother tends to only make bad situations worse. That said, I’m not sure I want her moving to Delaware or wherever Javi lives to start up that relationship. I think that is a very bad idea especially for Javi. Stella seems to be feeling a bit better, but Brianna’s mother has once again sent Luis running for the hills. Before the season started Brianna made it seem like Luis disappeared after the baby was born, but the editing of this show makes it seem like he was run off.
Brianna still hasn’t mailed off her request for child support for Nova. She’s like six years old! What is she waiting for? Devoin stops by and Brianna talks to him about child support. He really needs to get a driver’s license. Devoin agrees to pay for Nova’s daycare. I really liked Devoin in the early days. Once again, Brianna’s mother ran him off. At registration for Nova to have before and after school is $185 a month plus a twenty-dollar deposit. Neither of Nova’s parents can do that math in their head. That’s sad. Devoin eventually figures it out. Why does Nova need before and afterschool care if she is not working? Devoin does not have the cash, so Brianna has to go to the ATM. He has $60 in cash. I know Brianna thinks they should split expenses evenly but the judge will not see it that way. Devoin is barely employed and Brianna is getting big checks from Teen Mom. If he had partial custody, she would be paying him child support. She finally decides to mail the request for child support in.
Leah’s girls all seem to take great pleasure in their sisters being in trouble. Adi was locked in the bathroom up to no good and Ali (why couldn’t she give these girls distinct names?!) was gleeful that Adi would not get to go to Wal*Mart. Which is apparently, the epitome of living large in West Virginia. Adi lost all of her allowance and went to time-out next to an uncovered electrical outlet for her shenanigans, which included calling Leah stupid.
Ali and Gracie are going to start second grade in different classrooms. I think this will help a lot. Especially, Gracie who tends to get held back with her sister. Leah drives the girls in the pitch black dark to their bus stops for the first day. It seems like a very long drive. Why not just drive them to the school on the first day? Why would the bus not come closer to their house, especially considering one of them is disabled.
Over in South Dakota, Chelsea and Aubree are also shopping for their wedding outfits. It’s been a year since Chelsea and Cole got married. Chelsea is going to Minneapolis to pick up her dress. These two want to go on a honeymoon before they start “cranking out more kids.”
Chelsea’s wedding dress is one of the prettiest I’ve seen on these made for TV weddings. She seems to have quickly shed her baby weight.
The nesting thing has gone into overdrive with Kailyn. She’s cleaning up her house and decluttering in preparation for baby number three. Kail has come to terms with the fact that baby number three’s daddy in not interested in his kid. Kailyn is still holding on to some hope that he will change and step up to be a father. Then, she very oddly mentions Brianna who she says just accepted Luis’s departure and didn’t hang on to hope. She wants to be like Brianna and just let it go. This was of course all before Brianna started moving in on Javi.
We got another cute scene with Jo and Isaac where Jo tells Isaac to be sure and help his mother out with the baby.
Kailyn goes for her last doctors appoint alone. She is crying in the car to her girlfriend Sterling. She is driving, with no seat belt and the phone in one hand and wiping her tears with the other one. It is giving me anxiety, and I am sure the Internet trolls attacked her for this scene. She manages to get herself to the doctor, and Number #3 has managed to show up for this appointment.
Jenelle had to take the kids to NYC to get clothes for the wedding. Because? She’s clearly blowing her paychecks on vacations and overspending. Most of these girls seem to have no plan at all for being off the show. It’s going to be hard fall from six figure incomes to working at Wal*Mart. David and Jace are filmed alone walking down the street. I didn’t think David was allowed to be alone with the boys.
Back in North Carolina, David tells the officiant for the wedding not to ask if anyone has any reason why they should not get married. Because, pretty much everyone on earth knows this is a very bad idea.
Barbara is sad that she is not invited to the wedding. I think she is better off not going anyway. Her friend suggests that she try to get along with David. Barbara is not interested in trying to do that.
The constant work on “the land” continues with David putting down tons and tons of sod the day before the wedding. This is also when the tents and catering all have to be put up. There is literally no one to help David do this all in one day. Jenelle is taking care of the bitching and complaining. Jenelle goes off on David because the dance floor has not been delivered. Who the hell is going to be dancing at this wedding? Jenelle and David have both said they don’t have any friends. Jenelle hides in a shed to cry because she is planning everything alone and she should not have to do it alone. Well, Jenelle, you can blame David for that one. They both start yelling a production to leave because they are fighting 24 hours before the wedding. Jenelle threatens to cancel the wedding. Sadly, they did manage to go through with it.
