I posted a late night update on the latest drama by Jenelle as she and David head to the Teen Mom Reunion earlier. If you missed that, check it out here. I wanted to know what the episode after she displayed even more gross parental negligence and abuse than usual would entail so I am getting started on this one.
It seems to me that flying at 35 weeks is really pushing it and kind of irresponsible at this point especially since it is something that could wait and not say a funeral or a sibling’s wedding or something. Nonetheless, Kailyn and her friend and her kid (Is it Becky With The Good Hair?) are in St. Thomas with her boys. Actually her friend is Rachel, no Becky. Kailyn said that Baby Daddy 3 didn’t want her to travel this late in her pregnancy. Kailyn’s hands and feet are swelling up so she needs to see a doctor. I told you so! Kailyn says if she has to be induced she wants to go the the Dominican Republic or Cuba so that the baby will have dual citizenship. Better do some research into that Kailyn. Most countries don’t have open borders and grant all kids born in their country automatic citizenship.
Kailyn is sent to the hospital to be checked for pre-eclampsia. She texts Baby Daddy #3 and he doesn’t answer. Kailyn says he is with his other girlfiend. She doesn’t have pre-eclampsia and is released.
Aubree is headed off to start second grade. This is my absolute favorite year of public school to teach. They are all potty trained, know basic phonics and addition, are eager learners and have not been corrupted by the system yet.
Chelsea and Cole’s wedding reception is just around the corner. She is also meeting with a lawyer to see how hard it will be to hyphenate Aubree’s last name.
Stella looks so unwell in the car seat that I can’t believe I see them driving her home from the emergency. Why didn’t they keep that baby in the hospital? Briana lets us know that the doctors ran several tests and the results were not good. When they get home Briana explains to her sister that Stella has three holes in her heart. She says the doctor said that normally the holes stay the same size as the heart grow and they are small. People live their whole lives with holes in their heart and do fine. Still they have a lot of signs to look out for. Luis did not come to the hospital. I don’t think he ever showed up again.
Nova is right there through all of this as usual. It seems like the producers bought her some kind of kiddie laptop with a big head set. Her eyes are still on the adults in the room and she knows something bad is happening. Brittany is having her usual fit talking about how the family never catches a break. All I can think of is “Bitch, you’re getting Teen Mom checks.”
A few days later, we discover that Luis has not been to see Stella at all. He claims he has started trucking school. Briana doesn’t seem to understand that Nova can’t be responsible for keeping an eye on Stella while she folds laundry in another room. I am going to presume that she just wanted Nova out from under foot and she is working while Stella is sleeping.
A few days later, Luis has a day off from trucking school. He stops by to see Stella. Luis says he has no excuse or explanation for his distance. When Briana’s mom comes home, she lays into Luis. Brianna tries to shut her down but it doesn’t work. Luis gets up without saying a word and leaves.
It’s Jace’s eighth birthday. Jenelle tells us that Barbara had a birthday party for him a few days ago, and she is going to have one for him in a few days. She video chats with Jace to wish him a happy birthday. His birthday was on a school day so it looks like they did his parties on the weekend. At Jenelle’s party at a water park, Jenelle give him a present and says, “I didn’t have time to wrap your present, so here is your present.” How can your job literally be filming a TV show about being a mom and you can’t wrap one crappy plastic toy in a box? HOW?
On the way to meet Barbara after their weekend together, Jenelle tells Jace she wants him to walk her down the aisle. She explains the whole process of him putting her hand in David’s hand. He was down with it up until that point. Then he says,”I don’t want you to get married.” When Jenelle asks why not, he says he is just joking. He’s not. He seems quite troubled by the conversation. At the pickup, Jenelle questions Barbara about why Jace is on ADHD meds before he was seen by a psychiatrist. I agree with her there. I don’t know if they still prescribe kids with ADHD Ritalin, but that turned out to cause major problems with them and is not a good idea. Jenelle also told Barbara that Jace was leaving on Friday and returning on Sunday to go to pick up her wedding dress in NYC. Barbara was adamant he could not miss any school.
They haven’t found a therapist for Gracie yet. But, Leah took the girls to Florida for a family vacation. I am all about travel, but I just wonder is some of these girls are saving money for when this gravy train jumps the track. Leah let Ali in the pool without a life jacket, so of course when she finally makes her put it on she has a total meltdown. This seems to really upset Gracie. This whole situation is upsetting. I think Gracie resents Ali for taking away her mother’s attention all the time. Later they go to Busch Gardens and Leah makes sure to ride a few things with just Gracie.
And so goes another week of summer vacation with the teen moms.
