It seems that skin cancer is all the rage these days. First it was Tamra Judge’s butt (seems like that should be one of the places where the sun doesn’t shine), and now it is Bethenny Frankel’s face. Bethenny has been flying everywhere lately working tirelessly on her charity. She’s been to Mexico and Houston to put money into the hands of those who need it. She plans to go to Puerto Rico next. But she took a brief time out to have Mohs surgery on her face. It’s basically a three-part surgery. Doctor number one excises the cancer cells and thin ring of healthy ones. Another doctor runs lab tests to be sure that all of the cancer was removed cleanly, then the closer probably a plastic surgeon in this case, closes the wound.
She had twelve stitches. It looks like six interior and six exterior. The doctor says she is going to be just fine and scar looks like it will heal up nicely. That was Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Jason Hoppy was back in court because his trial was supposed to begin. Multiple sites are reporting that the Assistant District Attorney was not prepared to begin, so the trial date was postponed until October 23rd. This is just ridiculous. And a waste of tax payers money. The charges were brought in January and updated in June. In August he refused the courts offer of an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal where he would have pled guilty to one count and sentenced to one day of anger management.
Clearly, Jason is going to vigorously fight these charges on principle. The least the Assistant District Attorney could do is be prepared to try the case after having the facts for nine months. I still maintain this entire case should be thrown out.
Wishing Bethenny a speedy recovery so she can get back to her impressive charity work.
