I wasn’t able to record the episode before this one because the ratings for this show are so bad that MTV would rather run very old episodes of Catfish rather than give this show a midnight or one am replay. I went On Demand and the previous episode is missing from there as well. I wanted to see the baby shower! I am the only one that likes Brianna. Hopefully it will eventually pop up on demand.
Apparently, I also missed Barbara and Jenelle going to court. Jenelle came out pissed and texted production a snotty text saying that she hopes Barbara is happy that she won and that she is not Jace’s mom anymore. Here is what was probably not shown. When Jenelle had the last kid, she tested positive for pot and so did the baby! So Child Protective Services have been monitoring her. That is something that Barbara brought up in court. Also, Kaiser’s grandmother is trying to get custody of the cute little donut because of the drug tests. Not sure how that is going, but I hope she gets him. I’ve said all along someone needs to come get that baby. Also, there are some rumors that David is inappropriate with Jace which could be the cause of his emotional issues. It’s a mess and Jenelle and David don’t need to have custody of any of their children. Plus she needs her goddamn tubes tied.
Barb says she won permanent custody, Jenelle had Jace every other weekend and two weeks in the summer. Barb says that Jenelle agreed to all of this, it sounds like to keep the stuff about pot and David out of the public record. But Jenelle is pissed.
Later, we see Jenelle who is suddenly fine with the agreement explain that now she has to get Jace on the weekends, and she has permanent pick up and drop of places, and she can take Jace anywhere she wants without Barb’s permission as long as she has the phone number. David of course says that Barb is one of the worst pieces of shit for doing what she does. What would that be exactly? Taking care of Jenelle’s offspring? Jenelle says Barb is not invited to her wedding. I am sure that news will crush her. She also says she will have her wedding on one of her weekends. She says Barb is no longer her mother. Maybe that is what the text said, that Barb is not her mother anymore. I could have sworn it said Jace. Jenelle says that on her first two-week visitation, she wants to take the kids to St. Thomas.
Jace is happy that he is going to be with Barbara. Sort of. Poor kid.
It’s father’s day weekend in South Dakota and Aubree has to go visit her dad. Um, what about that whole drug addict issue? I thought visits were stopped? Cole is sad she won’t be with him for the weekend.
I am not sure what went down at the baby shower but from what little I saw Brianna and Luis got into it because one of her old boyfriends was there. Not sure how smart it was for Brianna to invite an old boyfriend. She stops by Luis’ apartment to chat. Luis says he felt disrespected by the former boyfriend being invited. I agree with him. She is a bitch to him. Luis says he is going out of town for a month to go to truck driving school. I think this is a great plan. He will make good money. Brianna is fine with it. Unfortunately, the class will be in session on her due date. Luis is not happy about it but thinks it is their best option. I wonder how he is paying for an apartment with no job. I suppose he is getting paid by the show since he is on all the time now.
This week, Nova is “graduating from pre-school” so of course they have a pool party. At the party, they all trash Luis. At the graduation, Nova had a nervous breakdown and sobbed the entire time. It reminds me of the stupid 5th grade graduations where I used to teach. First of all the music is sad, then all the teachers tell the kids that basically they will never see the fifth graders again, the play the music for like half an hour and the entire fifth grade goes up and down every single hallway with everyone sobbing. It’s like an annual funeral procession and most of the kids don’t even know anyone in the fifth grade.
Leah signed up for Bumble and is ready to start dating. I have mixed feelings about this. She has been doing so good lately, a relationship might just set her back again. On the other hand she is young and might as well get out there. The good news is that Leah is apprehensive about it as well. She agrees to go on a date with a guy named Josh. He is cute and looks very West Virginia Outdoorsy.
On her date, Leah orders fettuccine. Rookie move. Slurping noodles is not a good first date look. Josh is a West By God Virginian and somehow Leah decides to convince him he would like to live in California. No. No he would not. There were lots of long awkward silences. This was not a match. She didn’t even thank him for dinner. She tells the producers that she will not be seeing him again. Then he drives by in his pickup truck and asks her for a second date. She says yes and that she will text him.
Jo is trying to get the fifty-fifty custody of Isaac that he deserves. Kail is pissed and not speaking to Jo. She says that Jo had no reason to file because she lets him have Isaac whenever he wants anyway. I really think Jo needs it in writing though.
Later Jo shows up to the boys soccer games. Leah makes it clear that this is their fifth game and the first time Jo has shown up. Where is Javi? We haven’t seen him the entire episode. I thought he was the coach for the soccer team.
Kailyn is actually going to graduate from college.
