It seems that Countess Luann needs an outlet for all the emotions she has gone through this year. After finally marrying Tom D’Agostino on New Years Eve, Luann continued to endure mean spirited comments and behaviors from her RHONY castmates.
It didn’t take long for rumors of trouble for the newlyweds surfaced, and Andy Cohen was simply gleeful in fanning the flames on WWHL. He asked every random guest if they had heard about problems in her marriage.
Then in July, the week that the screeners were given to the RHONY to view before the reunion, Luann saw Tom on camera at a filming telling Missy that he still gets choked up when he sees her and also taking off his microphone to speak privately with her when Luann and her children were just feet away.
And that was the final straw. Luann filed for divorce.
And Andy Cohen insisted on filming with her at her Hamptons home in the off season to be an even bigger jerk to her.
Countess Luann is finally ready to tell us how she really feels about this past year. And in true Luann fashion, she in the studio recording new music. Now all we can do is speculate until the song (or songs) come out. It’s About Tom, He Was All Uncool, Eggs a la Franchese For One, The Seven Month Itch, and How Could You Do This To Me Question Mark, are all titles that I think would be good.
What do you think her next song title should be?
On WWHL she said a good song title would be “If you fall, make it part of the dance”. I like it.
Lol.
How bout, “He really did, everyone”
I’m really happy. If I had had the the past couple years she had, my coworkers constantly speculating about my personal life, my boss (Andy) encouraged the behavior and partook in it himself, then forced me to let him come to my home so he could be a dick and kick me while I’m down, the whole world saying “I told you so!!!!” I would have had a mental breakdown. Good for Lu that she isn’t letting all the haters see her swat.
The title should be “Fuck off” and she should dedicate it to Andy and all her costars beside Dorinda.
How about gardez votre bite dans votre pantalon. Or Andy I’m laughing all the way to the bank.
Good for her, class really shows when difficulties happen. I recall a lot of us snickering at her class talk a few years ago, it seems to have held her up well.
I learned from watching her this time.
Sing your soul out Luann.
Totally agree she is a class act, I don’t think I could have been as strong as Luann. I hope there are better things coming her way and she gets the last laugh.
Neither would I had been. (or was) I knew I would be cool and aloof, not giving a rats ass if in a breakup situation, I was not. I was and still am disappointed in myself. Never again, I will roar.
I’ve always liked Luann, she really is a gracious person. Tom is a turd.
I have as well David and I believe that it must frustrate the despicable, petty little people she’s surrounded by on RHNY, who seem to want nothing more than to see Luann dissolve into a puddle on the floor. The lengths that Andy, Bethenny, Carol, Ramona and Sonja have gone to in an effort to break her spirit has always said so much more about themselves, none of it good, of course. I’m sure she has her private moments when she allows herself to feel the pain from their mean spirited words and deeds; their betrayals, their jealousy and bitterness, but none of those losers will ever see it. She’d have to process the experience in order to be able to move on as graciously and confidently as she always has. Every time she shows them that she has the inner strength to endure whatever life throws at her and they just can’t handle that. Luann is an admirable and truly amazing woman and in giving herself to Tom she was, unfortunately, casting pearls to swine. But………………….
Did you think I’d crumple?
Did you think I’d lay down and die?
Oh not I,
I will survive
Yeah
As long as I know how to love,
I know I’ll be alive
I’ve got all my life to live
I’ve got all my love to give
I will survive,
I will survive
Yeah, yeah
Oh no
Yes Ma’am!
I hope she calls her new single “Don’t Let it Be About Tom (P.S. It’s About Tom)
It always bothered me that all of the photos of them as a couples showed her stooping down trying to make herself look shorter next to Tom. How about her next song title “Only Tall Men Now?”
YES, good call.
Her next song could be (for Tom, Andy, men) “It’s Noblesse Oblige, You stupid Trog” with a background chant of “not awe, not love, not care”, then “Not adulation, not devotion, not affection” rising “Noblesse Oblige, you stupid Trog,” and again.
“Swan Song” (Won’t Assault Your Ears Anymore With My Smoker’s Voice)
“Since I’ve Kicked Him to the Curb Life Has Been Superb”
I saw Luann at NY Fashion week the year I got tickets to the Project Runway finale fashion show. She was absolutely stunning, and she had her daughter and daughter’s friend with her. Lu’s had quite a life, but she always seems to land on her feet. TT, thanks for giving us a post about her.
I second “if you fall make it part of the dance”. She’s been really brave and kept her head held high. A year after my husband left I still can barely get out of bed a lot of days so I look up to her as crazy as it sounds. I hope she makes a few shekels for a pain and time and meets someone amazing.
Wow, Slice, I’ve been in the hole since the end of last year, and I’ve found you inspirational… I think you are amazing. thanks for sticking around.
Yes please. I vote for “How Could You Do This To Me Question Mark”
Cover Sinatra’s “All the Way”.
