I have one and only one Google News Alert set on my Google account. It is for Kim Richards and I set it when she was getting into trouble with the law. I’ve never taken it off, mostly because I keep forgetting. Lately there as been an influx in Kim Richards alerts so I thought I would share some of them. Kim is still on probation. On March 10, 2017, Richards went before Commissioner Jane Godfrey for yet another probation modification hearing. At that time her probation was modified from 30 hours of community labor to 450 community service hours. Godfrey told her if the hours weren’t completed at Midnight Mission by September 7th she could face jail time. Well guess what happened on September 7th? Come on, guess!
Did you guess that her attorney went to court and told Godfrey she had completed only 180 of the 450 hours? Because that is what happened. That averages out to about an hour a day. That leaves her 270 hours to complete in three months. I have a few issues with this. I feel like Kim should have to appear in court before the judge and explain herself in person. I do not think that happened. Also, the judge assigned her to Midnight Mission. I believe that she took it upon herself to do her community service at Skydog Sanctuary, a mustang rescue. She started there in Mid-August of 2016 before her terms were modified. It’s unclear if she is in fact allowed to pet mustangs rather than work at the mission but that is the appearance that Kim has given to the press. There is a huge difference between those two options. She is due back before Commissioner Godfrey on December 19th.
There are also open cases remaining involving Kingsley. Kay Rozario, the older friend of the family that Kingsley attacked was just granted an increase in damages resulting from that dog bite. According to the plaintiff’s filing, in March of 2014, while a guest in Richards home, “Kay Rozario was in Defendant Richards’ bedroom talking to Defendant Richards who was lying on the bed next to the dog. All of the sudden and without provocation, the dog jumped up from the bed, moved across it and attacked and bit Kay Rozario, causing severe injuries to her left hand, arm and back. As the dog was attacking and biting Kay Rozario, she fell backwards onto the floor. Bleeding profusely from her wounds, as she was being attacked and bitten, Kay Rozario screamed.” To read all the details of the case click here. She was awarded $8,083. 53 in general damages.
In June of 2016, Rozario, who was 80 years old at the time of the dog bite and claims she has permanent injuries as a result of the vicious attack by the pit bull. The appeals court agreed with Rozario and her award was increased by $51,000 to $59,083.53. Rozario had asked for 1.25 million in damages in her initial motion.
As of July 2016, two years after Kim claimed that Kingsley had been sent of to a trainer, or taken off somewhere, Kingsley was still attacking people and Kim was still covering it up. Including this young lady who was bit in her vagina!!! If you miss that story, the cover-up allegations were deeply disturbing.
I’m not sure justice is being served either criminally or civilly when it comes to Kim Richards. Do you think she has come to terms with the consequences of her actions?
