Last week we ended with the arrival of the teams at the venue and Jill and Christi going at each other. Chloe and Kendell are both in tears, which seems to not be high on the priority list of either of their moms. In fact, they are both making the situation worse.
Camryn is given an odd leotard that has the muscular system of the human body on it. Nia is wearing a long old lady dress. Maesi’s costume is also a hot mess.
Maesi forgot her choreography and did freestyle moves. She looked great. I had no idea. Camryn’s mom is crying in the audience over Camryn having to wear the ugly costume. But Camryn knocked her dance out of the park. I completely zoned out on Nia’s dance. The music was weird and I was looking at the TV screen but my mind just blanked out. Laurianne and Nia’s mom thought it was great.
Chloe comes up to Kendell back stage and they hugged it out.
A music producer shows up just before the group dances. Kendell and Nia both sing for him. They both sounded pretty good.
The MDP group dance was really, really good. Chloe fit right in and the dancers were all very in sync.
The ALDC’s dance is weird. It literally makes no sense to me. If I had not been told they are robots, I would not have known. Why were the little girls on leashes? What did the song have to do with anything at all? What was the message? Why was it called Judgement Day? So many questions.
I was expecting a clean sweep because there doesn’t seem to be very many kids there. The auditorium is pretty empty. So it took me a minute to realize that none of the girls solos even placed. I have never seen that happen before. Then the group dance takes fourth. It looks like the moms are learning that they need Abby Lee. MDP took first place.
Of course Christi rubs it in that none of the girls on ALDC placed. Chloe cries because she really wants to dance for ALDC. Laurieann says she will be back next week.
Also one of the mom’s grabs one of the other moms by the neck and tries to chock her out.
