Big Brother 19: Tales From Decrypt

The HOH challenge that was played on Friday and hosted by Derrick airs at the top of the show. They screen will show an encrypted clue, the faster you figure out what it is, the faster you can hit the button for which evicted houseguest it refers to. It’s a bracket set up like the NBA finals. Jason has to sit out as the reigning HOH.  On the very first round, Raven somehow beats Mark. How is that even possible? I am telling you that Mark is by far the smartest person in this house. This challenge was made for him. But this challenge is weird and going first is a disadvantage because you don’t know how things work yet.

The final four are Raven, Paul, Christmas and Josh. All loyal Paul followers. He doesn’t need to win this HOH.  He takes Raven out anyway. The final two are Paul and Christmas. Paul tosses it to Christmas so he can play next week. Ha. I typed that before he said exactly the same thing. Also, Jessica is the only one that hasn’t been an answer yet, so you know it has to be her. Yet now the problem is Christmas doesn’t seem to know the answer.  So Paul just picks a wrong answer so she can win. Christmas is an idiot. She promises to make big moves this week though. As soon as Paul tells her what moves to make.

This is what Christmas chose to wear to make her HOH noms on national TV.

Sadly, Mark is a goner.

Alex thinks Kevin is a cop because he knows about jail and all those gangster things. HIS FATHER WAS A MOBSTER YOU MORON! Hasn’t Kevin mentioned that a billion times? Is your social calendar in the house so full you can’t make it to Storytime with Kevin? Christmas agrees with Kevin. These people DESERVE to lose to Paul. Then Alex is being a bitch to Kevin who just wants to know why she is not talking to him anymore. Alex forces Jason to shun Kevin too. Kevin is pissed. Jason is sad that mommy and daddy are fighting.

OMG, Alex says Kevin knows Derrick because he is also a cop. There are a few problems with this plan. I don’t think Kevin is still a cop. And because I pay rapt attention during Story Time With Kevin, I know that he met Derrick at the open call for participants. This bitch is dumb as fuck.

Now Josh is believing that Cody was truthful about Alex and Jason. I am telling you. None of these people have done anything to deserve half a million dollars except for Paul. They are all literally waiting for him to decide when it is their week to leave.

OMG. I didn’t see Jason’s dramatic letter from home. He was sobbing like a baby before he even read a word. Then the letter says that his kid said he has to win Big Brother because he is going to be a big brother to the baby in mommy’s tummy. He falls to the ground sobbing and suddenly my allergies are kicking in and my eyes are all watery and there is a lump in my throat. He got a photo of his boy and the sonogram. Jason is EXTREME…LY happy. And he probably just won America’s favorite player.

Christmas truly cares about Josh and that is good to see. In her diary room she says she is grateful for his support in the house. Josh loves her like a big sister too. They want to go to final three with Paul. SIGH. But Josh wants a Christmas and Josh final two. Josh may realize he needs to get Paul out sooner than the rest of the fucknuts.

We see Paul on tour, first Matt and Raven, then Alex and Jason, the Christmas and Mark. He tells them all the same thing. No one know that we are a trio. We are going to be final three. No one can know.

So when Christmas decides to put up Jason and Matt, it fits perfectly with his plan.

Josh gets a ton of TV time. Raven is only shown when absolutely necessary.

Finally, we get an explanation about the tree of temptation. It’s a three-week thing. When the tree turns red, each week before noms, the first person in the diary room to say they want an apple gets to pick one. It can be a power or a punishment. Each person can only pick once. I’m guessing they give the first one to Mark. There are some serious punishments like not able to play for HOH. And some really good powers like a second veto. Mark indeed gets the first apple. He gets Save a Friend. This does him no good at all.

Mark is an idiot. He is fine going up but he doesn’t want Raven going up at all. He is actually the target out of that couple. Again, can we maybe give Paul more than $500,000 it must be driving him crazy to be in a house with stupid people. Matt thinks taking all these seats on the block will get him time served later in the game when being a pawn is riskier. You won’t have a choice then, Matt. You stupid fool. Jason is just as stupid, and he is who Christmas would send home if Mark won the veto.

Mark makes a very logical plea for why he should stay. But Christmas and Josh are too far up Paul’s ass to consider what is best for their game without Paul.

At nominations, Mark saves Paul. Why? It doesn’t matter but still it’s like he is pandering to Paul on his way out the door. She nominated Jason and Matt and tells Mark he is being backdoored. Mark says that he told Paul when he gave him a friendship bracelet that he would pay him back when he got power. He hopes he is showing that his word is good. Oh honey, Paul knows you want him out. You are the only one besides Jason who even thinks about voting him out. That makes you and Jason Paul’s main targets.

Production gives Paul safety for the week. All the other safety rewards were not issued after the POV was played. They give Paul strategy and aid in the brainwashing of all the housemates. Raven mentioned that they should go after Paul, and the camera cut away.

They salvaged Paul’s two seperate discussions and references to blackface. He treats Josh like a piece of crappie, his step an fetch it. It’s pathetic. When Josh was the HOH, Paul added insult to injury by berating Josh while he is crying about they called you fat. He repeated the word fat so many times just to rub it in.

And now Paul and his crew will send Mark home and begin the meanness on Kevin. This is vile.

Little does Christmas know that Paul is considering Josh and Raven as his last two minions, with Raven taking Christmas’ place (depending how things shake out).

I realized this morning that Tamara Tattles is the only reason I still watch BB19. If I wasn’t curious about
what you and everyone else thought about each episode, I’d have stopped watching by now. Since I
record everything to watch at a more convenient time, while I ran Sunday night’s episode, I was reading.
I was reading, because I really didn’t care what happened, because I know Paul and “production” have already decided what is going to happen, I know it, you know it, everyone knows it, except the dopes
    on the show.

I remember watching Evil Dick’s season, and in the end that ^%$# won! I had sat through all the excruciating episodes, waiting for Evil Dick to get what’s coming to him, and guess what? CBS gave
that rat the money! I couldn’t believe it. Well, if CBS thinks I’m sitting through another pre-arranged
season, just so they can sell soap and cars, they have another think coming.

I’ve watched my last broadcast where everything goes Paul’s way, listened to the last monologue from
Paul, looked at that scrawny body with all the crap written on it, and seen him groom that ugly beard
for the last time. I’m pissed off and sick and tired of the whole thing. I will be checking here just to read the wonderful up-dates from TT and the great comments from the rest of the audience.

I’ve watched Bb since season 2!! It’s my all time fav show…Evil Dicks season 8 was my all time favorite actually because he played the game. These idiots are pissing me off!!! SO over them all especially Paul!! The Paul show is getting old, but I think production is trying to get the other hg’s to start playing the game & turn on Paul…they’re just so far up his a$$ to do it. It’s BB–play to win…make some big moves so it’s fun for us to watch!! I love reading here, TT, I am on here all the time, this is just my fist time to comment…

Thanks for coming out of lurker land! The key to enjoying Big Brother is to be open to whatever happens. I HATED Evel Dick. He was the first to bang pans and antagonize people and was particularly abusive to some of the females. But it was still a great season. This is a great season too. You have a house full of idiots and Paul. If you hate this season it is because your EXPECTATION is for people to actually play their game and not be stupid followers. Paul immediately got rid of all those people. Because he is playing his game and is doing a better job of it than everyone else. Sure there was a lot of help by production for Paul. But I think that was meant to give Paul a chance at sticking around because ANY ONE WHO WATCHES THE SHOW knows to get the vets out. They don’t just know the game, but they are production favorites. This isn’t news by season 19.

So now we have a rare season where everyone is mesmerized by Paul to the point they are just going to give him half a million dollars. It’s a social experiment and we are getting to witness how easily some people are manipulated.

I am enjoying watching Josh. He is soaking up all sorts of knowledge in this experience. Last night on BBAD the men in the house all had a very enlightening conversation about how to treat women and dating. Jason in particular was very insightful, but all of the men spoke eloquently about how a man should treat a woman. It was very inspiring to hear. Josh sat quietly and soaked it all in. I am really enjoying Josh have growth spurts, and then set backs to the pots and pans crap, and then more growth and more relapses of immaturity. I love big brother because it is REAL reality. Even with production interference, which is a necessary evil of reality shows, you can’t hide your true self when you are on camera even while you sleep. It’s a brilliant show, even with a cast of followers if you see it as the psychological experience it is and stop wanting it to be a show like Survivor where everyone is plotting to win. I love Survivor too, but it’s a horse of a different color.

I have finally accepted that these minions want fame over riches. And they may get neither. I want to see people fight for the money and not hand it to Paul. Mark is someone I like but he has given up and handed Paul safety as instructed.

My concern is Josh doesn’t have that resilience to bounce back when he leaves BB. He’s the one that could have significant psychological damage. However, he finally said no to Paul’s scheme to go after Kevin. This could salvage more than Josh’s game, but his psyche and public opinion of him. Social media will destroy him if he doesn’t turn things around.

Raven is the only person who deserves the social media fallout.

I completely agree with you I guess I’m just aggravated at this seasons idiots!! Paul is definitely playing the best game, I just shout from my recliner the things they should be doing or knowing they’re giving him the $500k. He deserves the win for sure, I’m just hoping the others get smart soon & it will be more exciting to watch as a die hard bb fan!! Kevin is my fav but Paul is doing his thing making people aware of Kev bc he knows it will be hard beating him bc they all like Kevin. This show always makes me mad & never do my people win lol. But I love to hate it ya know what I mean?! Football is the only other thing I watch that makes me as mad as bb does ugh lol!!

I love this comment TT! I totally agree and just wanted to add that I heard on a podcast that if you are hating this season, just try rooting for Paul. That slight perception change will make a big difference and you just might enjoy what Paul is doing in there and enjoy the season.

For me, this has been the most entertaining and fascinating season in years! They finally cast some people with personality and there has barely been a dull moment in the house. I had almost lost complete interest in BB as the last few years have had me bored to tears, but this year, despite the production “help” and hate mongering, I can’t say that I’ve been bored at all. Indeed B.B. Is a social experiment and this year, we’ve seen a fascinating psychological phenomena play out in the way the minions have fallen in line under Paul’s spell.

Also, there really is no one I can think of who I’d like to see win over Paul, other than maybe Kevin. No one deserves to win and it would be a disappointment to me if they somehow did. I don’t want to see that kind of gameplay rewarded. So, I’m still watching as i think it will be great fun to see if the minions have their moment of realization on their way out the door. With this cast, I expect the drama isn’t over just yet. What will happen when Jason gets targeted and he and Alex realize that Paul has been playing them?

Raven and Matt are also fascinating in their own weird way. I’ve never seen a weirder couple! It’s so funny how I thought Matt was so normal at the beginning of the season and how my perception of him has changed. It’s also really entertaining to watch the house guests slowly lose their patience with them. From Jessica’s interviews, she said everyone thought she was beloved by America and you can see how they are afraid to talk bad about her, but as time goes on, and especially with Zingbot’s zing towards Matt, they are getting more comfortable expressing their annoyance with both of them.

So in short, I love this season so much and hope everyone who is hating it doesn’t give up on it and maybe we’re just venting cuz that’s fun too! Lol. BB is such a love/hate type of show. People have such passionate reactions to it and there’s really nothing else like it out there. It’s by far the best thing on network TV

The interesting part of this season is going to happen in the jury house. Cody, Elena and Mark are all aware that Paul is running everyone’s game. Elena herself was mesmerized by Paul and one of the first to get cut. Even it Paul gets his final three with Josh and either Raven or Christmas…part of all of his alliances will be in the jury house talking about how they were duped by Paul. This will poison the waters for Paul. Or at least it should. But with these brainless players, maybe they will just think he deserves it for his great gameplay.

I understand your take on the show, and I’m sure you are right. I think I am one of those people that always looks for the happy ending, and has naïve thought that people should get what they deserve.
I know, much too much “thinking” and not enough enjoying. I will bow to your experience, but damn I hate
    to fall for CBS’s schemes.

I kinda hope Josh gets AFP, since I think that would mean A LOT to him.
Second place and AFP would be great.
Glad Kevin has the $25,000. The way Alex and Christmas are acting, Kevin getting AFP would be great also, lol.

First time commenter here also (although TT and I have emailed in the past) and I read all the comments. This is my first season watching any BBAD and feeds as well and oh my gosh what an experience and change in how I watch and understand the show. All I can say is that I’m even more fascinated by whats shown on tv vs. what is really happening. The dialogue here never disappoints! You all make watching the show so much more interesting.
I am just SHOCKED at how predictable everyone is. I really thought Christmas might shake things up (especially since she said she would in her DR) but no such luck. The Kevin, Josh, Jason, Alex dynamics I think will be really interesting to see when the rubber hits the road in the coming weeks.

I’m so tired of hearing Alex call Jason stupid if he doesn’t agree with her or if he doesn’t do what she tells him to do. Now her shutting Kevin out because she thinks he’s an undercover cop (which is one of the dumbest assumptions this season), and her expecting Jason to avoid him because she doesn’t like Kevin anymore. What a snotty, mean girl she’s turned out to be. I wish Christmas’ big move would be to get Alex of the house, but I doubt that’ll happen.

I agree. I think Alex is the worst!! Her trying to get Cody to snap by goading him about his kid really did it for me with her. Jason has been a real disappointment too. I’m really looking forward to the day when Paul crushes their BB dreams.

I really don’t like the”don’t talk to them” approach. I don’t care what age, it’s really mean, and I am surprised no one has said “I’m not going to do that, it really isn’t necessary”. But, have yet to hear that, unfortunately.
Raven and Matt are acting as if they are playing a really strategic game, but I guess I don’t see, or know exactly what it is.
Surely a different vibe without Elena and Cody. And SuperChristmas flying in as if she is Superman. Lol.
Hope everyone enjoyed the eclipse 🙂

So, suddenly Alex decided Kevin was/ is a cop, and Paul Josh are playing pool with Kevin and Jason(who is aware of the cop knowledge).
Paul and Josh are going to assume Kevin doesn’t realize they are treating him different, or is everyone supposed to ignore the elephant in the backyard? I’m thinking Jason may find this difficult (actually hope he does), since everything was fine hours ago, correct?
I feel like I’m missing out on something for this to make sense. Perhaps I am.
Kevin seems the type to want to talk about the weirdness, and may be shocked when he’s the only one willing to. Guess we’ll see but I really don’t like this goings on. Kevin seems like an innocent in all this. But like I said, maybe I’ve missed something. Hmm.

You know the live feeds are lame when this comment section barely changes for days on end. I can only watch them sporadically now. I love Mark trying to save himself, but because Paul says he needs to go he has no shot of staying. I just can’t understand how Mark, or anybody else, doesn’t point out the fact more that Paul is playing all of them. Do they not see it or do they just not care? Even last night on the feeds, Alex, Mark, and Jason were talking and Alex kept mentioning how things happened all season the way “the house” wanted things to happen. How is no one pointing out that Paul is making all the decision for “the house”. It’s driving me nuts!!
