With Abby on a two-week European Tour,Laurieann Gibson comes in to teach the girls choreography for this week’s competition. Laurieann is annoying. The dance moms like her. Then she lays into Kendell about being lazy.
Chloe is going to dance with Marietta Dance Company, a big rival of ALDC in this competition. Chloe is a bit rusty in practice. I have a feeling that is just storyline though.
Nia has a solo that is a modern dance called no regrets. Camryn has a contemporary solo called Weight of The World. Maesi has a hip hop number, Black Sheep. I expected the moms to freak out because both black dancers were given solos by the black teacher. But instead, they are pissed that Maesi got a solo as the black sheep of the group who is always overlooked because she has had more solos than most of the girls. Then the moms turn on Camryn saying she is undeserving of the solo. They love to talk about how mean Abby is, but they are just as bad.
The ladies learn that Abby’s hearing has been postponed again. So instead of coming straight back from Europe, Abby is going to go to Cancun for a four day “work trip.”
Meanwhile, Chloe has a breakdown at rehearsal with MDP. She misses her real dance family. Later the two teams came face to face outside the competition venue. Chloe was presented with and MDP jacket in from to the ALDC. Jill starts screaming that Chloe is a studio jumper. Christi starts screaming that none of them stuck up for her and that the only dancer who called Chloe was Nia. Kendell says that she called Chloe and Christi calls her a liar. Jill and Christi get into a horrible scream match calling each other liars and pieces of shit. Both Kendell and Chloe cry hysterically. LaurieAnn is dumbfounded by what she is witnessing.
The episode ends there. Next week the two teams face off.
I really like Laurieanne. She is very talented. I like that she is tough but explains why and is not demeaning in her delivery. Poor Chloe I hope they don’t use her for show value and make it look as if she causes her team to lose.
Dance teachers who create hellish atmospheres – I remember them from my past! I am amazed I put up with the two I had, but ballet/dance as a discipline was probably my greatest strength all my life, even though I gave it up in my early teens. .
I love Nia… She’s the sweetest kid out the entire group… However she did not deserve that solo… Cloe is super super rusty…
Laurianne gives this show and these girls LIFE!!! Need to keep her on the show…
