It’s eviction night, and Jessica is finally going home. I was just posting in the comments here about what the challenge will be and it just occurred to me that if Christmas is going to win an HOH it is going to be this one. Paul and Alex are for sure throwing it. I think Maven always throws the challenges. I don’t think Cody has the list of sounds right. So the front runners will be Christmas, Elena and Mark. I am fine with any of them winning. But I’d prefer Christmas because she will protect my boy Josh.
Well, I am so excited for this episode, I forgot it came on at 9. At least I am prepped and ready to go. And now, it’s GO TIME!
We start with a negative edit for Josh where they make it look like Josh is going to be blindsided when Jess goes out. Then we finally get some gameplay talk from Kevin in the DR. He wants Cody to align with him to get out the other two showmances. Interesting thought. Cody is not down with the plan because Kevin is aligned with Paul. Alex is not down with it either. Paul is no down with it either. So Kevin, I’m happy you are thinking about playing the game, but this plan is a dud.
This is the scene that put the nail in Paul’s coffin for me. Of course they are not showing how many times Paul repeated all the fat and wobbly insults Jody threw at Josh. He said it more times than they did. And Paul himself has called Josh “the blob” behind his back all season. The Twitter reaction about the big fight scenes is overwhelmingly hatred for Jessica.
It’s time for the speeches. Raven gives a fairly normal one and reminds us all that it is gastroparesis month and thanks the house for making her feel normal. I am guessing it is not in fact gastroparesis month anywhere but in her oddball brain.
Elena gives a super ridiculous speech that includes the stupid false fact rap by the girl whose name I cannot even remember at this point. That’s how quickly I forget about these people. Elena says “in an act of fate I am going to go ahead and thank you all for keeping me in the house this week.”
And then there was Jessica. Actually, I thought she did great with her speech. She said it took all of them and half the season to get one of Jody out of the house, when their focus should have been on Paul, and the longer you leave him in, the dumber you all look. Fair enough. She looks STUNNING tonight.JeJess
Jessica is sent home, and I swear they had to dig deep to find nice tweets about Jessica. Twitter is hating on her pretty hard right now. Josh serenaded her out with the circus song. Cody oddly carried Jessica to the door. The crowd had a big reaction. I don’t think they let the crowd boo anymore.
Oh God. Jessica is crying because she had to leave her best friend in there. Oh please. Do you not have any friends at all? Julie shifts her to game talk. Specifically, why she isolated herself with Cody instead of campaigning and chose to pick a fight with Josh who was HOH. Jessica responds with a whole lot of victim noises. She asked again what was it about Josh that caused her to be so hostile toward him. She tries to tell the story of when she won HOH and it was the anniversary of her father’s death and Josh was taunting her on the sidelines. Um, welcome to Big Brother. Julie is going HARD on Jessica. She says she chose Cody over her game and her shot at half a million dollars. If Josh had written this interview it would be going exactly like this. Jess says the relationship is real and they are in love.
It’s time for Goodbye messages. Cody’s points out that she gave up $500,000 for him. Ha! Paul’s says the same thing. She threw away her game. Alex’s says thanks for hating her for no reason and not to worry about Cody, she’ll watch him for her. #BUUUUUURN Kevin’s is nice. The there is Josh’s he lets her know that Elena was his target this week, but she wanted to have a spelling contest. E V I C T E D ! What does that spell? EVICTED! You played yourself, you big linguine! Then Julie rubs it in that she was not even Josh’s target.
The HOH comp should be super fast tonight. Well, Dayum! They are not doing the noises competition. I think that is because they knew that Cody didn’t have the sound right. So they are giving him another competition. They watch a series of live performances they have to memorize and then answer questions. Come on Christmas! I need you to win! Damn. Christmas is out. Raven and Alex are the final two. Alex is the new HOH! Cody is PISSED.
Julie announces that everyone has made the jury. She also tells them there will be no jury battle back! Then she tells us that next week is a double eviction. There will be a bonus episode on Friday. Not sure what that will be about. Probably, the halfway party they had yesterday?
As the house celebrates, Cody stalks off to the Have Not Room to go to bed.
