I am pretty sure this episode is going to be a dud. I am sick to damn death of these women taking us to their vaginal rejuvenations. I do not care for Shannon Beador so I am not interested in her giving Sophie I driving lesson. I have a gut feeling that Shannon herself probably doesn’t know how to drive.
I am not really caring for Peggy this season, and this week’s news about her ostracizing her brother because he is gay will have me giving her the side eye tonight.
We start with Shannon dropping by Tamra’s place. She’s not there five minutes before Tamra gives her a bottle of supplements called “Clear Mood.” When everyone is telling you that you need to take something for your mood, you should probably go to the hormone doctor.
Kelly and her husband seem to be getting along better. He tells her that Tamra is the new puppet master who is keeping Kelly and Shannon from being friends. I don’t think Kelly should ever be friends with Shannon, but I think they do resolve things this season.
Lydia’s mom is throwing Sterling a birthday party. This is the fourth episode of the season. Two of them have been over the top birthday parties for children. It seems like Lydia’s parents are still together. I thought he mom was single and ready to mingle. I’m not sure what is going on there. Update, they are definitely married.
The party this week theme is The Emoji Movie. That movie just premiered on Friday, it’s clearly a sponsored party put on by the movie production company. It’s probably not even the kid’s birthday. Lydia’s brother is really attractive!
When Peggy arrives Kelly apologizes for the scene at the restaurant the previous night. Peggy’s talking head about the fairy dust that Lydia’s mom was sprinkling was funny. “It’s hard to get off. I don’t want it on me.” Apparently, Tamra and Shannon were not invited to the movie promotion.
I refuse to recap any more segments about housewife vaginas. Sadly, I am all caught up and can’t fast forward through this crap.
The driving lesson with Sophie is giving me a panic attack. She changes lanes with no signal. She almost ran someone off the road. It’s terrifying to watch, but not as bad as the time Ryan drove to his wedding high on heroin.
Tamra talks to her son Ryan about an upcoming speech she has to give about parental alienation. Tamra says that she and Simon are getting along well. Tamra stopped by Ryan’s recently only to discover her estranged daughter was there for a visit. She hugged her for the first time in four years. We have some sad flashbacks to Ryan and Simon when Simon was young. Ryan looks completely different now. Like someone who has done a lot of drugs or something. It’s hard to believe that young guy is the same person. Ryan says that he is grateful now for Simon’s hard attitude toward him.
Ryan and Tamra cry. Tamra says that Simon was really hard on him to try to keep him on the right path. Ryan is worried about his relationship. He and his fiancee fight a lot. He seems to be worried that if they divorce he won’t see his kid much.
Kelly stops by to visit Meghan and meet the baby. Meghan is team Shannon and Tamra on Twitter in real time so these two apparently have a falling out. Meghan texted Kelly to ask her if the rumors about her having a boyfriend are true. This pissed of Kelly so Kelly sent a text to her saying that Jim has a mistress. Meghan is infuriated that she would send such a text to her when she is seven months pregnant. Hello? Don’t start none, won’t be none, Meghan!
All of these Meghan scenes were shot well after the events they are discussing. Meghan didn’t meander down to the OC until quite a few weeks into taping. So more filler.
Vicki stops by Peggy’s house. Diko seems like he is going to be camera whore. We get to see some of his car collection. Peggy likes Vicki because at the movie promo, Vicki offered to help Peggy with anything she needs when she has her next surgery. Peggy talks about her father’s recent passing. That happened in December. This seems very out of sequence. She doesn’t mention her siblings. Death of parents and cancer are not my favorite storylines.
Tamra’s father comes to hear her speak at the Erasing Families event. Tamra’s mother went to work rather than attend the event. Tamra is really hurt by that. This is yet another depressing scene. Tamra cries through her entire speech and in her talking head.
Next week: Thank God we are going to Hawaii! Kelly and her mother argue. Peggy literally closes Meghan’s lips for her. At least we’re going to the beach. This episode was a total waste of time.
