I am not going to go into detail about this episode. It was basically two hours of flashbacks. I’m just going to let you know who stayed together and who did not.
First up was Ashley and Anthony. Since these two signed a lease already for after the show ends, I assume they are staying together. Anthony does seem to have more reservations about moving forward than Anthony. But I think for the most part they will stay together. At decision time Ashley goes first and says she wants to stay married. They go to commercial making it look like Anthony was going to say he wants a divorce. But he didn’t,
Next up are Danielle and Cody. Just when you think these two can’t get any more awkward, they do. Cody regrets putting them in the friend zone in the first place. Danielle seems shocked to hear that her rejection of Cody hurt his ego, made him feel like she found him unattractive and didn’t love him. Then Danielle says she doesn’t have “falling in love feelings” for Cody but she didn’t expect to in eight weeks. Really? Because this has been eight weeks of being together 24/7. I think if you don’t have romantic feelings after two months of sleeping in the same bed every night, you never will. Danielle says she wants to stay married. Cody says he does too! WTMF? Seriously? I’m shooketh.
Well, we can’t possibly go three for three. I don’t think that has ever happened. So let’s hope Anthony dumps Sheila. Anthony is in for a life of hell with Sheila and he needs to jump ship. Sheila says marriage has taught her that her words have repercussions and she needs to do a better job of controlling that. She says Nate was not completely forthcoming with her. Nate says the biggest challenge was their last fight. Both of them damaged the other in serious ways.
Because I taped the repeat, the ads for the reunion are spoilers. That said, it looks like by the time they filmed the reunion, Ashley and Anthony were pregnant. I’m not surprised. But have Danielle and Cody had sex? Are Nate and Sheila still married? I hope not.
Sheila tells Nate she wants to be his wife until the day she dies. Nate says he made his decision the day he says I do. He says he loves her a lot, a lot, a lot. I hope it stays that way. I am not optimistic. But they do exchange somewhat of a vow renewal. So perhaps it will stick this time.
I don’t think we have ever had all three marriages choose to continue on after eight weeks, have we?
