Big Brother 19: The Battle Back Showdown!

July 21, 2017 by tamaratattles 35 Comments

This entire episode is probably going to be the Battle Back Competition. By the time the feeds return tonight though, we should have an HOH. I’m excited!

Julie starts off with a couple of lies. She says the houseguests don’t know someone is coming back. They do. They are not exactly sure when. Paul, up until recently thought it would be after jury. Then she says there is a possibility that no one will return to the house tonight. Also not true. They did not set up this elaborate set for no reason.  Plus, they need someone to come back ASAP because Meghan ruined the numbers.

As they announce the players, Cody comes out in straight up serial killer mode. Wow, this is complicated. the four evictees compete in the first challenge. The top two advance to the next round. Those two face off in the second round. The winner of that round faces off against “the house challenger.” The house will select one person to compete. If the house challenger wins, they keep the evictee out of the house.

Challenge One: Maneuver a ball on a platform through a maze using ropes and pulleys. First two to get your ball to the end advance. Cody struggles to finesse the ball. This is Cameron’s game to win.

Winners: Cody wins! He probably had a practice board for the last week or two. Cameron WINS! YES!

Challenge Two: Bill Board Bashers Use a catapult to knock ten boards out of your billboard. Come on, this one was literally made for Cody. It takes a LOT to knock down the boards. Most of the balls just bounce off. Cameron has a huge lead. But Cody realizes the key is to launch the balls softer In a huge come from behind win, Cody wins.

Winner: Cody. Cody actually walks over to shake Cameron’s hand. I’m shocked.

Julie tells the houseguests that someone is possibly coming back. Jessica is thrilled. Mark is furious. He knows it will be Cody and Cody threw him and Dom under the bus when he left the house.  Jessica talks privately with Mark saying he will be fine because he has been nice to her.

No one really wants anyone coming back in except for Jessica.  Julie calls everyone back to the couch and tells them to go one by one into the diary room to vote on who they want to be the house challenger. If you want the person back, pick a weak player, if you don’t pick a strong player. They still don’t know who they will be facing in the challenge, but it’s pretty obvious it’s going to be Cody.

They have not said what happens if the challenger loses the battle other than the evicted houseguest returns. But is there a consequence for losing? Oh! You cannot vote for yourself.  So every single person voted for Paul. Paul voted for Alex. So there will be no consequence for Paul. Because, Paul. Even Jessica voted for Paul.  Production I am sure told Paul to lose.

Challenge Three: Cody got to choose between the two previous challenges. He chose the maze race. However, the Maze is different.

Cody wins! I am so shocked said no one ever.

We should know around midnight who won HOH. My money is on Cody.

How do you feel about Cody coming back into the house?

Naturally, I misunderstood it (watched on Twitter), thinking that if the person beat the houseguest, the houseguest was replaced by the incoming winner. I thought, who is going to vote for anyone under that condition. Would have been really exciting then, lol.

I was hoping Cameron would win. Cody did great and was nice to Cameron. I hope Mark gets put on the block, he is such a cry baby. Paul was not that good at comps last year, Victor was. I love BB but Matt with the 2 grubby shirts, Mark bullying Josh then crying in the DR, All the broken bones, stitches and stoved up fingers is getting to me. Dom was wrong about Paul. She can thank Cody for ” wrongly” getting put on the block. That is so funny to me, wrongly as opposed to what, rightly ? The only girl worth rooting for is Alex, Elena may be but it is too soon to tell. Josh seems ok unless Mark and Matt gang up on him. I think Josh should not have been approved to be on the show. Paul is the pied piper for now. Cody,Kevin,Jason and Alex would be a great final four. Ramses may need to step up his game sooner than later. Sorry for rambling, got a lot on my mind.

I’m actually happy that Cody won the battle back. Glad Cameron didn’t win…his personality was annoying. Should be interesting going forward. I think Cody will play a different game this go around.

    Feeds are Back

Jessica is HOH and Rames and Josh are nominated. She has repeated said she doesn’t want to be in jury with either of them. And she may have a backdoor plan.

We missed A LOT of good stuff. just getting caught up. I was working for posts for tomorrow because I need to be productive in my personal life this weekend.

If you are a live feeder, please update in these comments. Thanks!

Also WHY THE HELL IS PRODUCTION GIVING THESE FOOLS METAL BOWLS WITH METAL SILVERWARE TO EAT OUT OF? Is there no sound editor involved in these stupid decisions?

Josh is talking to the camera saying he is being loyal. (He is on the block, lol) He is pissed at Cody and coming after Mark. He talking to his family and telling us he has a big heart, lol. He says he looks like the crazy guy on the block talking to the camera.
I think the plan is to send home Ramses. Xmas asks Matt and Raven if they are interested in keeping Josh. Raven says, well, I think that is what Paul wants…

New level of manipulation this year by production. I don’t like Paul but I despise Cody & Jessica, she has fake eyelashes, fake hair and a fake personality! As far Mark goes, I can deal with a cry baby over a sanctimonious prick like Paul or a mean spirited jerk like Cody. I was hoping Cameron would get a shot but production took care of that, were we really supposed to believe that Cody just magically “got” those challenges and then magically surged ahead? ugh.
Dom was not wrong about Paul being the snake, he absolutely was, he admitted it in the diary room! He said she was “too strong a competitor” and that she had to go. The he ran around convincing everyone else in her alliance who all folded like a bunch of lawn chairs and voted her out! What a pathetic group.

I am not looking forward to Cody’s weird faces & Jessica hanging all over him. They probably wish they had voted jessica out now. I know I do. But having him back will make for more excitement in the house.

I think they should have come up with a different 3rd challenge. It was hardly fair, no matter which house guest played against Cody, when he had just gotten all that practice doing the maze in the 2nd challenge.

Im glad Cody is back. Paul has gotta go! I hope they do not make some final two alliance. Paul should have won last season but at the rate its going now, he may win this season. The house if full of simpletons…

This could really be fun. Shaking up a lot. Going to watch feeds all day, even though I have difficulty keeping up sometimes with all the goings on, lol.
I’m certain things are at least not going to be boring, unless Cody and Jessica stay in bed for the week. I really doubt Cody is the type to just hand over the reins to Jessica. Guess we will see.

It kind of pisses me off that Jessica has all the power. (Expect POV of course) I wish Cody didnt return.
It is unlikely that Cody or Jessica will win the game long term. They piss off people too much. At least I have that. Lol

Why do most people hate Paul on this page so much? Loll
Paul’s game moves this season are similar to Nicole’s from last season so far. Hopefully, he wins.

Christmas got one of those scooter that you kneel on with your injured leg and then use the good leg to roll yourself around. This is getting ridiculous.

It doesn’t appear that Jessica told Cody (or anyone) about her hex.

Also, since Paul wants Ramses to go home over Josh, that will probably happen unless noms change. They are playing POV now.

Apparently, Jess wants Josh out of the house because he’s annoying. Paul has told everyone to evict Ramses. Cody is wanting a Mark backdoor after some conversation he had with him. Jessica doesn’t like Mark either but seems set on Josh leaving.

It’s way too early to call.

He is, but literally the entire house is brainwashed by him. So they don’t have the votes at present.

Jessica just wants to get rid of people now that will mar her blissful time in jury, or in the house if she stays long term. She’s shallow.

So, if I’m reading y’all right, we are already a week ahead of the broadcast shows. Tonight, (Sunday) it will be broadcast that Jessica wins HOH, then whenever the next broadcast is she will put up Ramses and Josh, then she will win POV on Wednesday? It seems strange that production would jam everything together like that, and still sell live feeds. Why would anyone watch the broadcasts? I hate to say this but knowing all this before hand has taken all the excitement out of the program for me, and the POP overnights just show how boring the HG’s lives are in the house. I always suspected as much. Why would anyone want to do this? For the money? Not when the IRS takes half. I guess I’m just too old to appreciate what kids do, anymore.

Cody seems really appreciative and happy for getting back in the house.
From what I’ve seen, he kind of seems nice, and friendly, and repairing the damage he did.
But I am not the best in seeing the underlying situations, so ??

After watching the feeds this afternoon, I really hope Jessica isn’t playing Cody. He’s been so nice and personable, I kind of really think he’s nice.
It was mentioned by Josh that it is like a different person, and I agree with that. Oddly, a person that is easy to like. I don’t think Jessica is playing with his heart, cause she seems to be in it, to win it, with him.
