I was so into the premiere of Big Brother last night that I completely forgot to check to see who was on WWHL. OMG! Dorinda and Fredrik! This should be good!
I love what Dorinda is wearing. It’s a gorgeous beaded short dress. I hope I can find a photo for you. Dorinda says it is Givenchy and the look is Mary Tyler Moore meets Buckingham Palace.
Fredrik put out a music video called It Gets Better for pride week. It’s unclear if it is a charity fundraiser or a vanity project.
Fredrik answers a bunch of questions about his upcoming show with Bethenny called Keeping It Real Estate. He says they are both investing millions of dollars of their own money in the properties so it can be nerve-wracking. Bethenny is as good as he is at staging but he knows the market better. He has bigger balls when it comes to negotiating. She might be a better problem solver than he is. She’s the first to admit she is wrong if something is priced too high or too low. The main thing they fight about is marble. Fredrik loves it and Bethenny hates it. Who hates marble? Fredrik says that working with Bethenny is really intense. She’s in his face all the time.
Fredrik is asked about the baby making situation. He says they decided to keep it private this time, but it is going well. I so hope that works out for them this time. It’s the one missing piece of the beautiful puzzle of Fredrik’s life.
Dorinda says that Ramona has privately apologized for destroying her house. But then, she makes snide comments about it, like saying she needed a free paint job, and she is mad all over again.
Dorinda says that production magic caused her suitcase to just appear somehow. Does that mean production brought it up for her or that forgotten suitcase was a scripted scene that didn’t really happen?
Fredrik ways we will see a lot of Luis on this season. Fredrik is lobbying hard for him to come back to NYC. I wish he would not do that. Luis is struggling a lot with his decision already. Based on Instagram when we see Luis, it will be when the guys go to see him in Paris.
A caller suggests that they hook Steve Gold up with Tinsley. That is an interesting idea. Fredrik says yes, but Dorinda says no. I think Tinsley is happy with her man at the moment. They seem to be going strong.
Dorinda was asked if she was able to fix the beautiful dinner chair that Ramona dumped gravy on. She said NO! Now I hate Ramona even more! I love those chairs. She says that the stain went so deep into the cushion that the whole thing has to be reupholstered. Then she says, “Luckily, I have sixteen of them.” I went to the Fortuny fabric website to see how much the fabric is per yard, and it is one of those “if you have to ask you can’t afford it” type places.
Andy actually seems to find these two to be acceptable humans and posted the top photo of them outside on the deck at the new studio.
Remember when Bethenny hired the Million$ Contractor – she tells him she hates marble, then proceeds to use marble in all her homes! another lie that Bethenny forgets.
Dorinda is awesome, thanks for the recap that Canadians don’t have access to yet!
“Mary Tyler Moore meets Buckingham Palace”, perfect! I love that dress!
Well that was very anti-climatic.
I got the impression that Dorinda is stil VERY pissed at Sonja.
Every time she yelled, “CLIP” it made me LMAO.
I enjoyed the show. Thought Fredrik was a bit low key. Dorinda looked great as did Fredrk.
Dorinda is everything this season! Love her more and more. Loved her with Frederik. They seemed to like each other. It was one of the more fun WWHL in a long long time.
Dorinda is a perfect shape into any puzzle. A mother, widow, girlfriend, daughter. Plus, she’s fun, analytical, a partier and loves life. I’d watch a show with her watching paint dry. As long as she had wine. She’s a one woman show and kinda my idol.
Yes, love her. She may be my favorite housewife!
I believe she said production went and got it for her. Instead of the uber.
That was not said.
Yup, she said it was production magic
I noticed Fredrik subdued as well. In the beginning of the show, it seemed to be all Dorinda, but he started getting more involved as the show went on. I like Dorinda but that clip comment going on and on was kinda annoying. Still not nearly as annoying as Bethany in his face constantly. Only someone with balls of steel like Fredrik could put up with that. Lol.
Dorinda is funny and stylish, and was very good to LuAnn. Then there was the way she spoke to Sonia in the Hamptons (which was pretty crude and rough) and her excessive drinking and food slobbering. And ok, whatever, but with all that, why does she pull this typical NYC elite thing, saying that she would not deign to talk to Sean Spicer? By virtue of what? Her moral superiority? Her sobriety? Her ability to keep food off her face? I found it really condescending and elitist and think those kinds of attitudes need to stop. Sean Spicer seems like a decent person, and this refusal to even pursue normal verbal discourse with someone of a different political party, and acting as if they are “de trop” and even subhuman, needs to stop — imo. Also, it is not “making it very nice”.
Because when you can see the emperor has no clothes and most people you talk to can see the emperor has no clothes but yet there are minions running around, working oh so hard to convince you the emperor actually does have clothes — you kinda don’t want to feed into that by talking to the minions.
I’d talk to Sean Spicer, if only to see the crazy up close.
Do any of them have any clothes? It seems like there is plenty of corruption on both sides.
I hear you but then its not elitist for Dorinda to say she won’t engage with one of the naked minions. Everyone has their limits. If you don’t want to shake Hillary’s hand, (given the chance), more democratic power to you.
I think refusing to talk to someone bc you disagree with their politics is very high handed abd elitist.
I don’t think it is elitist to decide who you’d like to go out for a beer with.
I must have misheard that section myself. I thought Dorinda said she would not talk to Spicer, but – either way – refuse to talk or refuse to have a beer, her clear attitude was that she would not deign to speak or associate with him because in her opinion his politics rendered him -beyond the pale. It is her reason and the attitude that is important. It curries favor with the right people in NYC, but it is niether a very “nice”, nor open minded way to be, imo. And it is very prevalent and, yes, elitist, bc it implies that everyone who disagrees with you is morally flawed and dumb. Talking more, and not refusing to talk is the way for us all to achieve something. But I guess the president’s press secretary is beneath her, even though Spicer seems like a very genial man, who is liked by most of the press corps. Or maybe she was too “clipped” and merely misspoke.
Even the president barely deigns to talk to Sean Spicer!
P.S. Idi Amin’s on the phone for you. 🙂
That is so funny, about Trump and Spicer! But also, you have made the point, exactly! Sean may be a little “Spicey” but “he is no Idi Amin”! ? Almost every county in this country voted for Trump. This nation has serious issues, the elimination of the middle class over the last 10 – 15 years and the opioid epidemic among them, and we need to respect and talk to each other to solve these problems. Personally, I evaluate each side based on the issues and agree and disagree with both, in some areas. Let’s discuss the elements of the critical concerns we are all facing, and not declare others as too subhuman to engage in dialogue. Our system is based on equality and rigorous exchange in the marketplace of ideas. We can’t just “clip” others (even if a person is a “celebrity” of sorts), and I guess we also need a certain level of sobriety to participate in productive conversation.
For fucksake, elsa. LET IT GO!
I see what you tried to do there but Spicer is no Amin. In one country, you have the right to say “no thank you”. In another, you say that, you lose your hands to a machete. I’ve seen both. I choose the democratic option.
No worries TT, I’ll stop — blahblahblah
Perhaps it’s not his politics but more his ethics. I haven’t heard much about what he stands for politically but I’ve seen and heard him lie time and time again, and defend actions and words that should be indefensible to anyone with good character. I know that it’s easier for people to think that criticism comes from standing on the other side of the political fence, rather than because what is going on is actually wrong.
Ok, so now we are going to declare other people not worthy to talk to bc we say they are “liars, not of good character and unethical”? and because everyone else is “pure as the driven snow” ? — like leaking debate questions — ethical? and using the DNC to unfairly eliminate Bernie Sanders nomination — ethical?, or Hillary’s staff slandering Catholics as stupid — “good character”? Are you serious? And because we have no logs in our own eye and we are such great judges of who has good character (using ourselves as a measure of course) — even though we may be drunk off our asses and pickled in our brains? This is exactly why Trump got elected.
Boy, you really take it to the mat, don’t you? It’s clear what your opinion is, despite claiming to be even-handed. People disagree. It’s not going to change. Also, what you are doing is tiresome. Stop beating it into the ground. I don’t come here for this. I doubt I’m alone. Thanks for your kind consideration. Or, I’ll join the window lickers. Either way, I’m not down with this shit.
On a lighter note, I love Dorinda’s dress, too.
Thanks for your manly beat-down.
Well, that went left fast, lol. So many different threads and feeds to express a political point of view. Here I look for info about Dorinda’s chairs and NY gossip. Dorinda is entitled to her opinion, let her be, and we will gladly let you be you. See how that Works? Mazel!
I am entitled to my opinion too, NOT, it seems. But that was to be expected. And yeah, we all see how that works.
Agreed. He serves in the Navy as well. I truly am appalled by people who think all Democrats are heaven sent and all Republicans are evil. No thoughtfulness or open-mindedness at all. Only bigotry.
I have noticed that Dorinda always wears dry clean only garments (sequins, feathers, light leathers). I would totally do the same if John was my BF too. Lucky girl! You can tell as well that if they broke up tomorrow, John would still do her dry cleaning. He is not my favourite Bravo husband/partner but he really does dote on her. It’s very sweet.
Dorinda did not say she was wearing Givenchy. She was wearing Jovani. She wears Jovani often.
Thanks. For some reason I was having trouble hearing Dorinda.
You are not alone. She has trouble enunciating, which is surely exacerbated by the drinking.
I have some sort of hearing problem. I can hear the tea kettle in the kitchen, two rooms away as the steam barely starts to build up and before it whistles.
But I can’t have a conversation in a crowded bar. Everything all blends together. So if Andy is talking over someone I can’t understand either person. It’s crazy.
It’s not crazy and it’s not an uncommon problem. A lot of people have issues with background noises. I simply cannot handle them and have to leave the room. If the TV is on and my granddaughter is playing a video game with the sound on, it’s too much for me. The doc tells me these are common issue and sure to get worse with age.
It makes me a bigger bitch than usual. I kind of freak out and get angry at the random noise. Then I angrily say to the person who is just trying to talk to me, “I CAN’T HEAR YOU WITH ALL OF THIS CONVERSATION!” and glare at whoever is disrupting my conversations.
I try to be normal in those moments but it is just not possible. Then after making a huge damn deal out of it, I flee the area and proceed to feel guilty about my behavior.
It’s part of THE CRAZY! 🙁
I love me some Dorinda!
I googled the fabric for Dorinda’s chairs and now all of my ads are for fancy Italian stuff. LOL.
A dining chair that needs replaced when food gets on it is not practical. I can’t feel sorry for anyone that uses that kind of fabric on a chair where spilled food is a given.
Most adults can eat dinner at a dining table without dumping a bowl of gravy on the chair before sitting down.
The ones who can’t are as high or as drunk, or both, as she was!
And most adults would pay for the damage caused by them.
If Dorinda and Carole didn’t thrown nasty shots that mean nothing as far as whether policies actually work then it’s fair game to criticize their ridiculously angry comments. You don’t get to throw stones and then sit back and tell others they can’t express their opinion.
Exactly, Deb. So well stated – if we still live in a country with free speech, that is.
Exactly, Deb. So well stated.
Last I checked there was something in the commenting rules about saying the same damn thing a million times in a billion comments. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LET IT GO!
Andy’s tie is so crooked his buttons are showing, he needs some help dressing himself. Soon he will be able to stick the end of his tie in his pocket.
his buttons show every episode. He apparently thinks that is cute. BECAUSE SURELY PEOPLE HAVE TOLD HIM HOW STUPID HE LOOKS!
Love, love, love Dorinda! Tipsy or sober, she’s a breath of honesty and fresh air who gets her point across (even if it’s a bit snarky) with a sense of humor. I’d watch a spinoff with her any day. Love her big smile, love her laugh, love her style, love her beautiful clothes, and love her tenacity in sticking with John no matter what everyone else thinks. She’s happy, she’s a free woman who’ll get out in a heartbeat if anyone mistreats her, and she goes for the gusto. Best addition to any of the Real Housewives casts in a long, long time.
Didn’t mean to forget Fredrick! His enthusiasm for life and his profession are fun to watch, along with the foot kicks, facial expressions and brilliant manipulations. Hope he gets the baby he’s been dreaming of for so long – he and Derek will make fantabulous parents
