Demario has given an exclusive interview to E! News I have watched it and it seems to me like he is being very genuine. He talks about the pain of the entire ordeal and how his mother and aunties were in tears as sites were posting that he was some sort of sexual predator. He says his mother was crying every day. Demario says he has lost eleven pounds in the last week from the stress.
He says the scenes with Corrine were filmed on the first day of filming. He was nervous coming into the group who was at the bar because he was made out to be a villain in his first season due to what he called the “fake girlfriend.” I totally believe that he was cast into that role from the beginning and had no idea what he was agreeing to at the time and how it would affect him and ultimately cause him to lose his job.

He says that he and Corrine hit it off right away talking about their “roles” as villains. He said she was very flirtatious and as a black man he wanted to make sure not to get himself into any bad situations and made sure that the cameras followed when they went to the pool “alone.” He said things were very tame at first but she was very sexually aggressive. He liked it, but was a bit leery but mostly turned on. He got out of the pool and sat on the edge and she got out and placed her lady parts on his face.He says she was not even drunk at that point. They were both naked from skinny dipping. Corrine was doing all of these aggressive acrobatics. Later in the evening she threw herself into the arms of three other guys and made out with them.
The next morning they were all hungover and everyone went to breakfast together and they were talking about how wild things were the night before. They were all in good spirits. Demario said he and Corrine were chatty he noticed she had banged up her knee and asked if she was okay. She said she busted it. He suggested a shot for the hangover and she told him production had cut her off. He said everyone had a fun at breakfast. The were bringing up all the crazy stuff that happened the first day. Everyone was laughing.
Demario was upset that he was made the villain on The Bachelorette, and that the girl who claimed to be his girlfriend was not his girlfriend. He says the producers wanted him for Bachelor in Paradise so they made him the villain.
On the third day, he is doing his confessionals and they are talking about him and Corrine and Alexis who he was with by the third day. He says after they way production screwed him on The Bachelor, he told his producer he was worried that ABC would screw him over again. His producer told him that wasn’t going to happen and he was doing great.
Demario said the creator of the show wanted to see him. He immediately thought he was going to get screwed over again. The guy approached him and told him to take his mike off. He said, ” Do you love me? Do you trust me? Here is what I need you to do. I need you bow out to night at the rose. Say your fond farewells, say you weren’t here for the right reasons. I can’t tell you what I know, but it’s going to get bad if you don’t leave.” At first he thinks he is joking around with him. Then he brings up how he was treated on The Bachelorette. The guy tells him to wait for thirty minutes and talk to him again. He starts running through everything that has happened. He can’t figure out what is going on. He is asking producers what is going on. He hangs out at the bar with everyone. He now drunk. He knows he is about to be screwed over again. Another head honcho comes to talk to him. He is angry because he has been waiting all day to find out what the hell is going on. He sends him to his hotel room. He says that a third party has filed a complaint about the encounter you and Corrine had in the pool. Demario says he didn’t even have sex with Corrine, they just had oral sex. That is what happens in paradise.
They send him to a hotel room alone. He is up all night pacing. Producers and the shrink come to check on them but wouldn’t tell him anything. All he knows is that some third party complained about his activities with Corrine. Demario at this point thinks the problem is that the issue is a black man with a white woman. Plus this all happened two days ago. Demario goes from being angry to feeling used. He just wants to know why production keeps screwing him over. Why him? He wonders why the complaint by a new producer is enough to send him home. Demario says he has seen the video a million times. He says he it was raunchy, it was soft core porn, but it was nothing that hasn’t been on Bachelor in Paradise before. The next morning a guy comes and tells him that he had to go home. He said that he is just trying to keep the 300 people working on the show employed.
Demario says he didn’t get to tell anyone goodbye. He told Alexis, he was going to get some food and he’d be right back. He is really close to the people on the show. He is still very close with the guys from The Bachelorette. They put him on a plane. Three days after he got home it broke in the media. When things went nuts on the Internet, he said to his dad he thinks he needs a lawyer. He was traumatized to see his name trending with the words sexual assault.
Corrine’s producer was the person made the complaint. She was not present at the pool. She has never seen the tape. She heard over a walkie-talkie that Corrine and Demario hooked up. That was it. Then Corrine makes a statement saying that she is a victim. At this point he realizes that he has been set up. He reflects back on how Corrine sought him out so aggressively on the first day.
He was mystified by all the fake stories with fake details that were circulating. He was distraught. Demario’s father is a cop and was very supportive of him. He says he feels bad for Corrine. She is going through a similar problem and it must be hard for her too. He really thought they were friends. He is not sure what to make of Corrine. He doesn’t say anything negative about her. He says it is very challenging for him. He really doesn’t know what happened. He’s not sure who is to blame. He hasn’t decided if he will return to film. I think this interview was actually several days ago. He said that several cast members had flown in to be with him. The interviewer asks how he could trust BIP to not screw him over again. He says he doesn’t really think production was at fault. He blames the one producer who went rogue.
Demario was very articulate in this interview. The man can talk. He gets sidetracked with analogies for everything. He seems very devoted to his family. He’s quite charming. He said that the cast members have been supportive of him. He was overwhelmed by the support the BIP cast who only knew him for three days who went on the record to support him. Demario and Alexis are still close and he would like to see where that goes.
The entire interview with Demario on E! News is available on their Youtube channel. It’s almost two hours but holds your interest.
From the moment you first posted the story I had a bad feeling it had to do with a Black man getting frisky with a white woman because nothing else made sense considering what BIP is known for.
I hope DiMario is able to move past this, but once things are on the internet, they don’t go away. These allegations are going to follow him for years to come.
DeMario has been fooled twice by the Bachelorette and now BIP. He needs to stay away from that show.
THIS
I’m glad he’s speaking out. The producers and creator of this show had one chance to finally have a more diverse, representative cast and not fall into ugly stereotypes and they appear to have bungled this completely. It’s tough to not point the finger at Corinne; she drove me nuts when she was on The Bach. Everything she did was one-dimensional and about her sexuality. But SO MUCH of the show is tightly manipulated and it was easy to suspect she was being scripted in some way. But this man lost his job and is being labeled a horrid stereotype. His interview should be interesting.
I enjoyed the interview. He’s sincere and believable. Still wondering who this producer is and how ABC will handle her and Corrine going forward.
I can also understand why he hired a lawyer. There was no way of knowing if charges would be filed and he needed representation.
They will have a problem firing the producer. Even though she really needs to be fired. HAD SHE NEVER SEEN THE BACHELOR? If she went to work on a porn shoot would she complain about the offensive nudity?
More importantly if as both the interviewer and Demario suggest the producer is a friend of Corrine’s, would that not suggest they were in on the sexual assault claim together, and not be cause for firing?
He isn’t allowed to identify her as her producer so he referred to her as “Corrine’s friend.” Each contestant or RHOA or whatever has their own producer and they shadow them and fight for their storyline. So in that since they are on their side. or friends. Watch Unreal when in comes back for more understanding of that.
They bleeped out a lot of the names of the producers and such.
But the producers are cut throat assholes working for their own recognition at the expense of the contestant all the while pretending to have their back.
I totally believe the fucked Demario over with the villian edit and brought on a girl he didn’t know.
Oh, I agree one hundred percent re Unreal producers being ~ cut throat a*holes. They are the worst!
I’m just saying though. If the producer in question wasn’t even on the set in real time how could her claim have ever been supportable?
And who leaked that Corrine was passed out drunk and that the male producers basically strong armed the producer inyo letting the antics continue? Things just don’t add up here.
When did he lose his job and what is his profession.
Also the fact he states he doesnt know if he will return to BIP is disturbing. Is he crazy?
He lost his job well before going on TV.
I don’t think that’s true and as I understand it he was sn Executive Recruiter or a Start up Recruiter.
I don’t think it is true either. It was reported that he lost his job as a result of the investigation. That also sounds highly illegal.
Reality Shows Ruin Lives ! Entertainment gone wrong !
Agreed. That’s probably why Kenya Moore doesn’t want her new husband on the show.
