Jeff Lewis has practically fallen off of Instagram since baby Monroe was born seven months ago. We didn’t get many photos of Monroe and what we did see, Jeff (and sometimes Zoila) looked worn out. But now, Jeff and Monroe are on the cover of Parenting OC, a
semiannual monthly magazine for Orange County parents.
Update: Parenting OC is a MONTHY publication
In the story, Jeff talks about the difficulties of being a working parent. He says he really wasn’t very good at his job for the first for months as he was just consumed with the baby. He’s learning now that he can’t work all the time anymore and has had to cut down the number of jobs he takes. These days there is no work at all on Sunday, as that is family day. Gage and Jeff are trying to cut back enough so that Saturday is strictly family too.
Jeff tells Parenting OC...
“I didn’t go through all this and wait all this time just to pass off my baby to a nanny. I love walking in the room and have my kid look at me and smile and recognize me and be happy that I appeared. I’m fortunate that I have my own business and can structure it in a way where I can do both. There are people out there that do not have those options, so I’m certainly going to take advantage of it. The flip side is that we do have a business that requires a lot of my time. But that’s simply not working for me anymore. I can’t choose a job because it creatively inspires me or I want to work with some celebrity. I used to do it all, but what’s important to me now is Monroe.”
Also, it sure sounded to me like they were preparing to have another child. I hope that Monroe has a great Father’s Day with both of her daddies.
