Ashley and Anthony
Ashley has a so many shoes that she keeps them in her kitchen cabinet. Anthony has a room mate. So they move to a neutral location. Anthony makes a little less money than Ashley. Ashley and Anthony find a great apartment with no designated parking. That was a deal breaker for Ashley. Anthony is disappointed that they don’t get the place. Then they find a gorgeous high rise apartment with parking spaces.
Sheila and Nate
I forget why Sheila is having a meltdown, I suppose it was the whole fight where Nate says he didn’t want to be married anymore. Oh yes, the ping pong incident. Nate apologizes for saying he did not want to be married. Nate gives a really good prayer and that seems to help Sheila a lot. Then they kiss and makeup.
Shelia has a really nice apartment with a ton of shoes and clothes. But her place is just too small for three people. Sheila makes more money than Nate. Nate is a spender. Sheila is a saver. Nate wants to move into a giant fancy house that is way out of their budget. But he realizes it is not a great idea just yet.
Danielle and Cody
Poor Danielle. Cody put Danielle in the friend zone last week and now she has to drive to Indiana or somewhere to see where Cody lives with his parents. Cody says that he didn’t really want to just be friends, he just needed some time to catch his breath. Danielle has some really out of control dogs and she’s worried it will be a problem. The dogs calm right down with Cody. Danielle has a roommate so they are looking for a neutral place. Danielle makes $60K and Cody makes $50K. However, Cody owns a gym that just opened so his income will probably pass hers by eventually.
Things seemed better with Danielle and Cody this week, but next week we have more drama. Also, the families come to see the new apartment and Nate butts heads with Sheila’s father. Also, they are hinting that Ashley is already pregnant. If that turns out to be true, that will be drama we have never seen on this show before.
I’m watching Second Chances. Vanessa is a total bitch on this show. She seems to want to be in charge of the relationship.
Vanessa is a totally different person. I don’t like her too much on this show. I am starting to see what when wrong between her and Tre’.
I just wish someone would tell Cody that saying “I’ve never lived with a girl” (repeatedly) makes him sound like Norman Bates.
This season just doesn’t seem to have something. I wonder if the reality show curse of knowing what your doing has affected it. Been on just long enough to occur. The moving in is really better than more honeymoon at least, even though at least they fought, on the honeymoon. This bunch just seem to be working out too good, lol.
Lol, that is so funny. Almost spit the coffee all over. I can just see it.
Bastet.
Tamara, thanks for reviewing this show. Your write ups got me to watch it last season, and now I just started binge watching this season. I missed the first 2-3 episodes, but watched the wedding night and the first part of the honeymoon.
Ashley’s relationship with her sister will definitely become a problem. Ashley needs to grow up, leave and cleave, and make a new life with her mate.
It was obvious from the get go that Nate’s family presents some huge baggage. Holy moly, watching his mother make the brunch all about her and whether she was still his queen, that was uncomfortable. He handled it very well, so I gave him some points. The brother cohabitating with them, without any room for Sheila to say no, would have been a deal breaker for me, though. It’s admirable that Sheila seemed unfazed by this; lets see if she remains unfazed. Given that Nate is a player, did he seek a bride to play mom to his brother and housewife to both? His own personal cracks, like demanding that she have a higher energy level, that he needs to win, that he spends too much, that he doesn’t compromise – this is doomed. He has a lot of growing up to do.
And the last couple, the sexual desire that both expressed to the camera, but not to each other was just ridiculous. He is trying to be respectful, and all she needs to do is say that she is ready. So easy. I haven’t seen yet the other wimpyness described, but this will be interesting. So far, he has seemed sweet, kind and respectful.
