This week, the problems begin…
Cody and Danielle (St.Croix)
Cody seems very into Danielle. However, in the previews we see him telling her that he feels like he is just playing along. This is concerning.
These two went paddle-boating and then made out in the ocean. They are both ready to have sex. Is this what freaks Cody out? Cody tentatively brings up sex, and Danielle isn’t sure what he is trying to say. Communication seems to be an issue. Cody says he has never been in love before. #RedFlag
Danielle tries to tell Cody he needs to be more assertive. Basically she is telling him if he wants sex he should initiate it. He doesn’t receive that message and responds with “let’s just get some rest.”
Shelia and Nate
Sheila and Nate consummated their marriage on the first night of the honeymoon. Sheila did not have an orgasm. If I have to here about her orgasms, or lack there of, all season I don’t know what I will do. There are just some things that don’t need to be shared on national TV.
Sheila starts talking about where they should live. She wants Nate to basically move to her area. Now Nate has to tell her that her brother will be living with them. Sheila is actually fine with it.
Nate and Sheila go jetskiing on one big jetski. Sheila is nervous and doesn’t want to get wet. Nate goes full out and they fall over. Sheila is pissed. Later they have a conversation where Sheila says she is a pretty even keeled person and Nate is full out high energy all the time. Sheila seems to resent that he is constantly trying to rile her up to a high energy level instead of meeting her halfway. Later, they Facetime a therapist about their issues.
At dinner, Sheila shuts down and refuses to talk to Nate. What is that about? Nate feels rejected. Sheila feels like she is being forced to communicate. Sheila says she is emotionally drained and the past two weeks have been stressful. Nate manages to make Shelta feel better. She apologizes for being moody. Later in bed they both realize that they were matched to balance out each others personalities.
Anthony and Ashley (Bahamas)
Ashley is obsessed with being late. Because Anthony would like a bit of privacy in the bathroom, he waits for her to get dressed and do her thing. I call this being polite. Ashley sees it as him taking too long to get ready and being late causing her to have to wait on him. You see Ashley, he waited patiently on you first, then you were unappreciative and whiny about waiting on him. This is called compromise.
Ashley is nervous about kayaking. It’s not the same as tanning. She might get wet. Ashley freaks out a bit on the kayak. In her defense, they are pretty far out into the ocean. Then she brings up Lauren again. They survive the kayaking without getting wet. This is a good thing because Ashley was wearing two shiny lures as earrings.
It’s raining in the Bahamas. This meant no cabana time for Ashley. This did not make her happy. Then the air conditioning broke down in their building. Anthony says he put Ashley in a freezer to cool her down. Um, okay. They do make it to dinner despite the rain. After a few glasses of wine, Ashley hints that there are things they could be doing inside. So they go back to the room and have some off camera adult time.
Next week: Sheila has a major malfunction. Cody does a complete 180 and wants to “fall back” from the relationship. Ashley wants to get pregnant.
I love that Ashley is into Anthony, I didn’t expect that at all. I thought she might be a newer version of the previous insufferable Ashley who broke David’s heart. Cody worries me. Not sure what he’s up to or who he’s actually into. He needs to check his closet. Sheila should have invested in a “personal massager” before embarking on this journey. Marriage to a stranger is a big leap for an orgasm. Just saying…
So many red flags this episode. Sheila seems selfish and is gonna throw Nate’s age as being the problem (if it’s her even, just a prediction). Ashley is too much, but she’s hiding it pretty good (predict her way, always). Cody never being in love is going to be Danielle ammunition for her being right. Guess we’ll see. Only episode four, lol.
Cody and Dani: I’m not seeing as much chemistry with them as the other couples. It’s like two people in school forced to work with each other and trying to figure out how to make the pairing work. Their conversations don’t naturally flow.
A & A: They seem compatible. I think once Ashley starts thinking of Anthony as her life partner and husband, things will become easier. She’ll understand he is being polite and trying to compromise instead of just seeing things her way (a.k.a. Her sister’s way). I have hope for them.
Nate and Sheila: Nate does seem very high energy. I think that’s a good quality as long as you can tone it down. If they can communicate and compromise, I think there is hope for these two. I’m not sure if Nate would be able to find another women willing to compromise and or put his family 1st like Sheila has. Most of the women I talk to that watch this show told me they would have had one foot out of the door after seeing his family in full effect at the wedding and day after brunch. Then would have checked out if he told them his brother is living with him to go to college.
